Survivors: father, David, DeLand; mother, Brenda, Orange City; brothers, Joseph, Christopher, Jassion, all of DeLand; grandmother, Debra Drew, Umatilla; great-grandparents, Jennie and David, Willie and Charlene Wilson, all of Umatilla. GEORGE E. SMITH, 59, Kittles Street, Mims, died Tuesday, Sept. 28. Mr. Smith was an electrician for the state Department of Transportation. Born in Haskell, N.J., he moved to Central Florida in 1958. Survivors: sisters, Georgina Muller, Mims, Alice Gard, Grenada, Miss., Ruth Nyul, Titusville; brother, Harold, Titusville. North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville.

BOB SWEET, 81, Turnbull Road, Mims, died Monday, Sept. 27. Mr. Sweet was a missile mechanic for General Dynamics. Born in Oaks, N.D., he moved to Central Florida in 1957. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 610. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mims. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: daughter, Martha Ransom, Mims; sons, Robert, Arlington, Wash., Charles, Scott, both of Charlotte, N.C., Woodrow, Cape Canaveral, Robin, Mims, Bob, Atlanta; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. NORMA J. THOMSON, 62, Bridge Court, Kissimmee, died Monday, Sept. 27. Mrs. Thomson was a homemaker. Born in Morrisdale, Pa., she moved to Central Florida in 1987. Survivors: husband, John; son, Robert Dillon Jr., Pennsylvania; daughters, Sharon Hallman, Tricia Coudriet, both of Pennsylvania; sister, Patricia Poole, Kissimmee; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. ELSIE M. WATSON, 83, South 10th Street, Oquawka, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 24. Mrs. Watson was a homemaker. Born in North Pitcher, N.Y., she moved to Central Florida in 1974. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, DeLand. Survivors: stepdaughters, Alice Pieper, Oquawka, Marlene Smith, Toledo, Ohio; stepsons, Charles, Whitehouse, Ohio, Marvin, Fort Lauderdale; 17 stepgrandchildren. Lankford Funeral Home, DeLand.

JAMES HAROLD WATSON, 67, 833 Crestwood Ave., Titusville, died Monday, Sept. 27. Mr. Watson was a system test manager for United Space Alliance. Born in Malta, Mont., he moved to Central Florida in 1976. He was a member of the Republican Party and the Christian Coalition. He attended First Christian Church, Titusville. He was an Air Force veteran. Survivors: wife, Reva J.; sons, James H. II, Nashville, Tenn., Carl D., Titusville; daughter, Kristin, Titusville; sister, Peggy, Seattle; four grandchildren. NAOMI D. WINBUSH, 67, Grandview Boulevard, Kissimmee, died Sunday, Sept. 26 of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Mrs. Winbush was a retired educator of public schools. Born in Drew, Miss., she moved to Central Florida in 1955. She was a member of Kissimmee Church of Christ. She was the first woman and black elected to the Kissimmee City Council, in 1981. Survivors: husband, Nelson W.; son, N. Wyman II, Jacksonville; daughter, Audrea Lott, Jacksonville; sisters, Edna Scott, Drew, Icy M. Greene, Nashville, Tenn., Juanita Cade, Lansing, Mich., Elmira Johnson, Nashville, Fredie G. Simmons, South Holland, Ill.; five grandchildren. Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home, Kissimmee.

TIMOTHY WEMER, 27, 810 Ravens Circle, Altamonte Springs, died Tuesday, Sept. 21. Mr. Wemer was a manager for Structure Clothing Store. Survivors: mother, Bobbie Grein, Cincinnati; stepfather, Michael Grein, Cincinnati; father, Hugh, Lancaster, Ohio; grandfather, Richard Conley, Zephyrhills. Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster.

HARRY CLAYTON WINSHIP, 79, Bellwood Circle, Apopka, died Friday, Sept. 24, of cancer. Mr. Winship was a machinist for American Can. Born in Royal Oak, Mich., he moved to Central Florida in 1951. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Apopka. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Inez; sons, John, Jerry, both of Apopka; daughters, Janet P. FREDERICK T. WINSLOW, 59, Windsor Avenue, Longwood, died Sunday, Sept. 26. Mr. Winslow was an independent insurance agent. Born in Fall River, Mass., he moved to Central Florida in 1955. He was Baptist. Survivors: wife, Donna J.; mother, Mildred, Marysville, Ohio; son, David F., Melbourne; daughter, Cynthia J.
