MULBERRY -- Mrs. Jennifer Jill Strickland-Gans of Mulberry died Tuesday (Nov. 23, 2004) in Lakeland. She was 25.
Born in La Crosse, Wis., on Feb. 18, 1979, she came to Polk County from Wisconsin 11 years ago. She was a waitress at Hops City Grille.
Mrs. Strickland-Gans is survived by her daughters, Meikayla Gans, Jordyn Gans and Bailee Gans, all of Lakeland; father, Ross Strickland, Bradenton; mother, Patricia Moshier, Lakeland; stepfather, Fred J. Moshier, Lakeland; brothers, Justin M. Strickland, Lakeland, Scott Mayer, Dothan, Ala.; sister, Traci Crappf, Dothan; paternal grandmother, Pauline Strickland, Phoenix; maternal grandparents, Clifford and Josephine Neumann, Appleton, Wis.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St., Bartow. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland.

WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Libby Threlkel Ray of Winter Haven died of breast cancer Monday (April 19, 2004) at home. She was 38.
Born in Albany, Ga., on Jan. 11, 1966, she came to Winter Haven from Nashville in 1972. She was a teacher at McLaughlin Middle School in Lake Wales and formerly at Lake Alfred Middle School. She was former teacher of the year. She graduated from Stetson University in Deland and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity. She was a member and elder at the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Ray is survived by her husband, Andy Ray; son, Kasey Ray, Winter Haven; sisters, Kit Threlkel and Peggy Threlkel, both of Winter Haven; mother, Ellie Threlkel, Winter Haven; and father, Dr. James B. Threlkel, Winter Haven.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church.

WAHNETA -- Mrs. Virginia Cribbs Pollard of Wahneta died of heart disease Tuesday (Nov. 30, 2004) at home. She was 69.
Born in Minor Hill, Tenn., on May 27, 1935, she came to Wahneta from Minor Hill, Tenn., at an early age. She was a retired dispatch technician for GTE in Lake Wales. She was a member of the Assembly of God.
Mrs. Pollard is survived by her husband, Billy F. Pollard; son, Shawn Dunaway, Winter Haven; daughter, Kathy Wren, Lake Wales; stepdaughter, Darla Harper, St. Petersburg; one granddaughter; two step granddaughters.
Visitation will be from 10 this morning to noon today at Ott Laughlin Funeral Home, Winter Haven. Services will follow at noon at the funeral home chapel.
PAUL JOHNSON, 74

DAVENPORT -- Mr. Paul James Johnson of Davenport died of heart failure Thursday (Nov. 25, 2004). He was 74.
Born Feb. 10, 1930, in Spindale, N.C., he came here from Tennessee five years ago. He was a pipe fitter.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Fonda Roberts, Davenport, Jodie Gray, South Carolina; sons, Paul Johnson Jr. and Ricky Johnson, both of Tennessee, Allen Johnson, South Caronlia; stepdaughters, Hollye, Charity and Thomathy; brothers, Joel Johnson, South Congaree, S.C., David Johnson, Rock Hill, S.C.; sister, Mary Sturkie, St. Matthews, S.C.; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be this afternoon from 2 to 4 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
AARON ARNOLD, 85

BARTOW -- Mr. Aaron W. Arnold of Bartow died of congestive heart failure Thursday (Dec. 2, 2004) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was 85.
Born in Cochran, Ga., on July 11, 1919, he came to Bartow from Plant City 59 years ago. He was a dragline operator for Mobil Chemical for 37 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 3 in Bartow and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 2405 in Bartow. He was a member of Peace Creek Baptist Church in Bartow.
Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Eula H. Arnold. He is survived by his sons, Charles Arnold, David Arnold, both of Bartow; daughter, Rosane Cole, Bartow; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St., Bartow. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
HANNAH TREMAINE, 94

DAVENPORT -- Ms. Hannah E. Tremaine of Davenport died of heart disease Wednesday (Nov. 24, 2004) in Davenport. She was 94.
Born in Milford, England, on Dec. 28, 1909, Ms. Tremaine came to Davenport from Sanibel Island in 1990. She worked for Community Bank of the Islands in Sanibel for 20 years. She was a member of St. Matthew and All Angels Episcopal Church in Sanibel, where she was a treasurer.
Ms. Tremaine is survived by her sister, Ruth Henderson, Ocala.

HARRY GALLMAN, 89

AUBURNDALE -- Lt. Col. Harry E. Gallman of Auburndale died of lung failure Tuesday (Nov. 30, 2004) at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was 89.
Born in Union, S.C., on May 9, 1915, he came to Auburndale from there in 1958. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the Army and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a charter member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Lt. Col. Gallman was preceded in death by his wife, Vera J. Gallman. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Addy, Lakeland; brother, Otice "Red" Gallman, Culver City, Calif.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 this morning at Lakeland Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.

DAVENPORT -- Mr. Terry Dean Aldridge II of Davenport died of cancer Wednesday (Nov. 24, 2004). He was 32.
Born Aug. 30, 1972, in Springfield, Ill., he came here from Casper, Wyo., in 1988. He was a superintendent for a construction company. He was a life member and master counselor for the DeMolay. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Aldridge is survived by his father, Terry Dean Aldridge, Davenport; mother, Remonia Raines Aldridge, Davenport; wife, Jennifer Frazier Aldridge; son, Jeramiah D. Aldridge, Davenport; daughters, Jasmine A. Aldridge, Christina B. Aldridge, Sydney G. Aldridge and Taylor R. Welch, all of Davenport; brother, Charles E. Aldridge, Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; sister, Remonia K. Beasley, Davenport.
