Eugene Hanusek
Eugene Arthur Hanusek, 72, St. Augustine, died May 26, 1998, at his home. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., and he had resided here since 1989. He was a retired property manager for a real estate company in New Jersey, and he was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. Following his retirement, he worked at Publix as a packer and greeter. He served as a scout leader in New Jersey, and he was active in the church youth group and the vestry at St. Bartholomew church in New Jersey. He was a member of the Reconciliation Episcopal Church of St. Augustine, and he was a lay liturgical minister for youth and was a vestry member.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Reconciliation Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Paul C. Canepa, rector, officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to the Reconciliation Episcopal Church youth minister, 6900 U.S. 1 South, St. Augustine, 32086.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Hanusek, St. Augustine; three daughters, Jean Wiseman, Memphis, Tenn., Susan Vernieri, Edgewater, N.J., Patricia Norberg, Frederick, Md.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Theresia Hodges
Theresia Rauschader Hodges, 74, West Helena, Ark., died May 25, 1998, at her home. She was born in Germany, and she was a seamstress at Delta Laundry and Cleaners. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Duane Saba officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Helena.
Those wishing may make a contribution, in her memory, to the St. John's Episcopal Church, Helena, Ark.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Hodges, West Helena; a son, Nick Tschepikow, Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter, Anna Barry, St. Augustine; a sister, Maria Schonstetter, Germany; and six grandchildren.

Joseph Lopes
Memorial services for Joseph Lopes, 98, 52 Sunrise Blvd., St. Augustine, who died May 22, 1998, in Jacksonville, will be held at the Council on Aging, 11 Old Mission Ave., at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

Emory Booth Sr.
Emory Edsel Booth Sr., 72, Cairo, Ga., died May 26, 1998, at his home. He was born in Whigham, Ga., and he was a lifelong resident of Grady County, Ga. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Cairo, with the Rev. Joey Cannon officiating. Burial was to be in Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Cairo, with full military honors.
Survivors include his wife, Ophelia Fowler Booth, Cairo, one son, Emory Edsel Booth Jr., Jacksonville; three daughters, Shirley Thomas, Pine Park, Ga., Patti Ortagus, St. Augustine, Terri Booth Abrams, Cairo; a brother, Carl C. Booth, Whigham; and a number of grandchildren.

Joseph Lopes
Memorial services for Joseph Lopes, 98, 52 Sunrise Blvd., St. Augustine, were held at the Council on Aging, 11 Old Mission Ave., at 10:30 a.m. today. Mr. Lopes, who died May 22, 1998, in Jacksonville, was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Margaret, and by two daughters, Gladys McManon and Dorothy Pederson-Wiley.
He is survived by five grandchildren, Paul Melanson, Atlanta, Ga., Keith Pederson, St. Augustine, Scott Melanson, Kevin Pederson, Kris Pederson, all of Jacksonville; and by 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Lopes was from Carregal de Sol (Portugal) and came to America in 1916, serving in the U.S. Navy during World War I as a submarine chaser. He moved to St. Augustine in 1970 from New York to be close to his daughter and grandchildren.
Mr. Lopes and his wife enjoyed volunteering at the Council on Aging for over 20 years.

Elizabeth Jane Haire, 64, St. Augustine, died May 29, 1998, at the Ponce de Leon Care Center. She was born in Bainbridge, Ga., and resided in St. Augustine for more than 30 years. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mill Creek Baptist Church, with Dr. don Ramsey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar Haire; one daughter, Susan Ferried; two sons, Randy and Johnny Haire, all of St. Augustine; three sisters, Lois Chosen, Jospehine Miller, Bainbridge, Ga., Mary Vaughn, Tallahassee; and three grandchildren.

Robert Schnierle
Robert George Schnierle, 83, St. Augustine, died May 30, 1998. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and he had resided here since 1983. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, and he was retired from freight sales, having been employed by Acme Fast Freight.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at Craig Funeral Home chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to the Organ Restoration Fund, c/o Trinity Episcopal Church, 215 St. George St., St. Augustine, 32084.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mrs. Goodwin (Mary) Seymour, and two grandchildren, Eric and Kate Seymour, all of St. Augustine.

Boleslaw Grzeszkiewicz
Boleslaw "Bill" Grzeszkiewicz, 91, died Saturday in Flagler Hospital. He moved here from Lackawanna, N.Y., six years ago. He was born in Biezen, Poland, and he served in the Polish Army from 1928-30.
Services will be in Buffalo, N.Y., and burial in Toronto, Canada.
Flowers are gratefully declined, and those wishing may make a contribution, in his memory, to a favorite charity.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephny ``Sally'' Grzeszkiewicz, St. Augustine. He was the cherished stepfather of Arthur Sambuchi (Terry) of Lackawanna, N.Y., Edward Sambuchi (Peggy), of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Ralph Sambuchi (Diane) of Maynard, Mass., David Sambuchi (Nancy), Jacksonville; and 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Zigmund Grzeszkiewicz, and one sister, Mary Bramorska. He was the beloved uncle of Irene, Richard, Linda and Casimer Danek. In addition, Uncle Bill had many loving nieces and nephews.

Jerry Anderson
Jerry Nick Anderson, 49, 133 M.L. King Ave., died May 29, 1998, in Flagler Hospital East. He was born in Jasper, and he had resided here since early childhood. He was a graduate of R.J. Murray High School and attended Bethune-Cookman College and Savannah State College, and he was a former deputy sheriff for St. Johns County and served as a cab driver until his death. He was a member of St. Mary's Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Emmaline Anderson, St. Augustine; his mother, Lilla Mae Anderson, St. Augustine; daughters, Shannon Anderson, St. Augustine, Serina Barron, Augusta, Ga.; stepchildren, Elizabeth Hardy, Jacksonville, Arthia Byrd, James Freeman, St. Augustine; brothers, Richard, Jimmy, St. Augustine, James, Lake City, Shelly, Tallahassee, Isiah, Palatka, Nathaniel, Daytona Beach; seven grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services will be announced by Chase and Son Funeral Home.

Joyce Beauchamp-Knobbs
Joyce Beauchamp-Knobbs, 50, St. Augustine, died May 30, 1998, at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. She was born in Covington, Ky., and she had resided here for the past 26 years.
A memorial gathering is planned from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Craig Funeral Home chapel.

Ida Mae Booth, 84, St. Augustine, died May 30, 1998.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of the Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, with the Rev. Scott Cope officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Booth Sr., two daughters, Barbara Booth Shields, Mary Booth Livoti; two sons, Robert L. Booth Jr., Herman R. Cook; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Mildred LarkinsMildred Louise Larkins, 92, a retired educator and a lifelong St. Augustine resident, died June 1, 1998, at Vencor Hospital, Green Cove Springs. She resided at 93 Park Place. She retired from the St. Johns County Schools June 13, 1975, after 37 years of teaching. She was a member of the Clique Club, and she was a member of St. Paul AME Church and Class No. 8 at the church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul AME Church, with the Rev. F.D. Richardson Jr., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel of Chase and Son Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and at the church from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until the hour of services.
Survivors include two sons, Reginald H. Mason and Otis Mason, both of St. Augustine; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
