MRS. SMITH
Registered nurse
CORNELIA - Mrs. Alexsandra Sandy Smith, 63, died Monday, August 16, 1999, at Habersham County Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Smith was born January 17, 1936 in Summit, N.J. She was a daughter of the late William and Helen Jaukowski Rackowski.
Mrs. Smith was a registered nurse, had worked at the Cornelia Library and helped start and remained very active in the Laotian Ministries at the First Presbyterian Church, Cornelia, where she was a member.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 19, at the First Presbyterian Church, Cornelia, with the Revs. Blaine Walker and Boun Keomanikhot officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Garth Smith; two daughters, Susan Heath, Bremen, Fla., and Diane Izzard, Cocoa, Fla.; one son, David Smith, Gainesville; and four grandchildren.
The family is at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund for the Laotian Ministries, P.O. Box 165, Cornelia, GA 30531.
McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia, is in charge of arrangements.

MR. BOLING
BALDWIN - Conrad Boling, 57, died Tuesday, August 17, 1999, at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia.

MR. WOOTEN
U.S. Air Force veteran
JEFFERSON - Daniel Vester Wooten, 64, formerly of Crestview, Fla., died Wednesday, August 11, 1999, at his residence following a brief illness.
A native of Brooksville, Fla., Mr. Wooten was born March 26, 1935. He was a son of Estelee Wooten, Crestview, Fla., and the late Oliver J. Wooten.
Mr. Wooten was a retired Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Air Force and was a retired employee of the Civil Service. He was a member of Living Word Worship Center, Jefferson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 14, in Crestview, Fla. Burial was at the Old Bethel Cemetery, Crestview, Fla.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Eva Carter Wooten; two sons, Erwin Wooten, New Orleans, and Tim Wooten, Crestview, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Blasberg, Crestview, Fla., and Carol Doty, Ridgefield, Wash.; one sister, Vera Lee Crawford, Walnut Hill, Fla.; three brothers, Roy Wooten, Baker, Fla., Glen Wooten, Milton, Fla., Jerry Wooten, Tampa, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.

MR. KENNEDY
Fellowship Baptist member
MAYSVILLE - Charlie Edward Kennedy, 57, died Sunday, August 15, 1999, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce, following an extended illness.
A native of Cordele, Mr. Kennedy was born April 13, 1942. He was a son of Mary Sego Speight, Maysville, and the late Charlie L. Kennedy.
Mr. Kennedy was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, a member of Local #926 Operating Engineers and of Local #302 Seattle Washington.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 17, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Ron Glaze and James Richter officiating. Burial was in Banks County Memorial Gardens, Homer.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include one son, Chuck Kennedy, Dallas; two daughters, Stephanie Kennedy and Vickie Logan, both of Dallas; two brothers, L.J. Kennedy, Crescent City, Fla., and Ronald Oshs, Maysville; two sisters, Dorothy Smith, Monroe, and Evelyn Tomlin, Jonesboro; and one grandchild.
Ivie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MISS REDMON
Homemaker
MAYSVILLE - Miss Jeanette Redmon, 76, died Friday, August 13, 1999, at her residence.
A native of Banks County, Miss Redmon was born November 11, 1922. She was a daughter of the late Wiley and Lena Baker Redmon.
Miss Redmon was a homemaker and a member of Grove Level Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 15, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Jeff Appling, Swayne Carlan and Paul King officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Survivors include four sisters, Ruby Bales, Josephine Carlan, Imogine Redmon and Viola Redmon, all of Maysville.
Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. ABBOTT
Registered nurse
MAYSVILLE - Mrs. Eula Lowery Abbott, 94, died Tuesday, August 10, 1999, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mrs. Abbott was born July 2, 1905 in Telfair County. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence Edney Lowery.
Mrs. Abbott was a registered nurse and was a member of Oconee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Walter Abbott.
Graveside services were held Thursday, August 12, at Sunrise Cemetery, Maysville, with the Rev. Barry Johnson officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Smith, Maysville; one sister, Ella Strickland, Thompson; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. HULL
Jackson County native
MONROE - Mrs. Lessie Mae Hull, 84, died Wednesday, August 11, 1999, at Park Place Nursing Facility.
A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Hull was a daughter of the late Mark James and Eula Dills James.
She was a retiree of the Robinson-Humphrey Company, Atlanta, and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Banks County. Mrs. Hull was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard F. Hull.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Arthur Bowick Funeral Home, Monroe, with the Rev. Greg Butler officiating. Burial was in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Atlanta.
Survivors include one sister, Rosa James Nunnally, Monroe; one brother, Douglas James, Canon; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Arthur Bowick Inc. Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.

MRS. JONES
Commerce native
COMMERCE - Mrs. Marie T. Jones, 88, of Commerce, died Monday, August 16, 1999, at BJC Nursing Home, Commerce, following a long illness.
A native of Commerce, Mrs. Jones was born April 17, 1911. She was a daughter of the late Allen and Julie Wilson Tucker.
Mrs. Jones had worked in the textile industry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jones.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 18, at Harmony Christian Church, Commerce, with the Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Helen Tucker Lacey, Commerce; a half-brother, Gene Allen, Detroit, Mich.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

MISS THI
Woodbine cemetery rites
JEFFERSON - Miss Di Thi, 5, daughter of Thoung Dahn and the late Chi Kim Thi, died Friday, August 13, 1999, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Miss Thi was born June 7, 1994 in Fulton County.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 21, in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, with the Rev. Gary Whatley officiating.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include two sisters, Huy Thi and O Thi, both of Jefferson; and one brother, Do Dahn, Jefferson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 20, at Jackson Funeral Home, Jefferson.
Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MRS. THI
Homemaker
JEFFERSON - Mrs. Chi Kim Thi, 31, died Sunday, August 15, 1999, at Athens Regional Medical Center following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mrs. Thi was born March 12, 1968 in Vietnam. She was a daughter of Lien Danh and Det Thi.
Mrs. Thi was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Di Thi.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 21, in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, with the Rev. Gary Whatley officiating.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Thoung Dahn; two daughters, Huy Thi and O Thi, both of Jefferson; and one son, Do Dahn, Jefferson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 20, at Jackson Funeral Home, Jefferson.
