Name Franklin Delano Camp, 69, of Bettendorf, formerly of Cedar Rapids and Marion, died Thursday September 11, 2003, after a valiant 10-month battle with brain cancer. Services at 11 AM Monday at First Baptist Church/Church of the Brethren in Cedar Rapids. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 3 to 6 PM on Sunday and at the church after 10:30 AM on Monday.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, two daughters Terry Carlson and husband Jeff of Solon, and Cherie Guillaume and husband Fran of Mt. Vernon, two sons Frank and wife Susan, and Russell and wife Georgia all of Cedar Rapids, a sister Shirley Thompson and husband Rod of Solon, three brothers Lewis Mottinger of Solon, Dale Camp and wife Nancy of Cedar Rapids, and Richard Camp of Central City.
Frank is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Sarah Banowetz and husband Matt, Amy Carlson, Ted Camp, Nathan Guillaume, Erin Camp, Shawn Carlson, Tony Camp, Parker Guillaume, Samantha Camp, Tad Camp, Chloe Guillaume, and Noah Guillaume. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Celia Camp, an infant sister, Geraldine, and a brother Gilbert Camp.
Frank was born in Cedar Rapids on April 16, 1934, and graduated from Marion High School in 1953. On June 26, 1955 he married Evelyn Nash, daughter of Ralph and Leola Williams Nash. After serving in the Navy from 1955 to 1957, Frank worked for Collins/Rockwell in Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1989. He then owned AAMCO Transmission in Davenport, which he operated until his death.
Frank loved golf, country music, and time with his grandchildren. He lived with a steadfast devotion to Christ. Frank dearly loved his wife and family, and will be most remembered for his kindness, patience, perseverance, and faithfulness. He is already deeply missed by family, friends, and a very special and devoted dog, Jackie.
A memorial fund has been established.

Mildred L. Dillon
Born in Webster, Iowa on October 14, 1913
Departed on May 21, 2009. Resided in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Mildred L. Dillon, 95, a resident of the Methwick Community, died May 21, 2009 following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Chaplain Paul Monska will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place at White Pigeon Cemetery, North English, Iowa.

Surviving are her sister Marjorie Siggins and husband Kenneth of Lisbon, two brothers-in-law Don Finch of Silvis, IL, and John Fleck of Des Moines, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Inez Longerbeam and husband Seward, Doris Finch, Dorothy Keener and husband William, and Betty Fleck.

Mildred Louise Dillon was born October 14, 1913 in Webster, IA the daughter of John V. and Etta M. (Fattig) Dillon. She served her country honorably during WWII in the United States Army as a nurse, being discharged with the rank of Captain. She was very proud of her four years of service in the South Pacific. Following her military service she was employed for 26 years with the Veterans Administration Hospitals. She worked at hospitals in Des Moines, Minneapolis, and Denver. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling throughout several states and countries throughout the world. She was a member of NARFE Chapter 133, Glen Echo Christian Church in Des Moines, Broadlawns Alumni, WWII Memorial and Military Women’s Memorial. Mildred will forever be remembered for her kind and giving personality, and her spirit of consistently helping others. She was a loving sister, aunt, and cousin who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Memorial donations in Mildred’s honor may be made to Iowa Hospice.

Mary D. Cory
Born in Sedgewick Alberta, Canada on January 7, 1913
Departed on December 20, 2003. Resided in Marion, IA.

Mary D. Chalmers Cory, 90, of 1853 10th Ave, Marion, died Saturday, December 20, 2003 in Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Services at 1 PM Monday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Melisa Bracht-Wagner of the First United Methodist Church in Marion will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after noon Monday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter Linda Touro and husband Kenneth of Marion, a son John Cory and wife Phyllis of Topeka, Kansas, a brother James Chalmers and wife Marian of Lafayette, Indiana, a sister Charlotte Straley of Port Charlotte, Florida, five grandchildren, Brian, Tim, and Scott Touro, Jennifer McClure, and Mark Cory, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dan in 1955, and a brother Howard Chalmers in 1986.
Mary was born January 7, 1913 in Sedgewick Alberta Canada to Andrew and Dorothy Phillips Chalmers. Following high school, Mary attended Coe College and the University of Iowa. She married Dan D. Cory on September 22, 1935 in Brooklyn, Iowa.
Mary was employed by Russell's Guide, Inc. from 1955 to 1983. She taught music throughout the years in the Marion/Cedar Rapids area.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Hospice, or to the Area Substance Abuse Council.

Rowan James Dolezal

Rowan James Dolezal, five month old son of Nathan and Emily Dolezal died suddenly, Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 10:00 A.M. Saturday at New Covenant Bible Church by The Rev. Erin Bird. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday from 4PM to 7PM.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Reece; a sister, Rilynn; his grandparents, Roy and Janel Dolezal of West Des Moines and Howard J. and Judy Wolfe of Hiawatha; great grandparents, Ruth Dolezal, Helen Johnson, Marcella McDermott and Shirley Wolfe; an Aunt, Dawn Franck Jason; two Uncles, Aaron Dolezal and Matthew Wolfe Amber; and his cousins, Summer and Collin Franck and Taylor Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Robert Dolezal, Harold Johnson, Leonard McDermott and Howard Wolfe.
Rowan was born February 15, 2008 in Iowa City the son of Nathan and Emily Wolfe Dolezal.
A memorial fund has been established.

Evelyn D. Cargin

Evelyn D. Cargin, 86, of Crestview Acres, died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center from complications of pneumonia. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Rev. Thomas Fogle, Cedar Valley Bible Church officiating. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, and at the Chapel of Memories after 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Surviving is a daughter, Nancy Dutton and husband Elmer of Lake View, Arkansas, 2 sons, Keith Jr. and wife Jeanne of Cedar Rapids and Nathan and wife Janna of Kent,Washington, 6 sisters, Helen Jacobus of Atkins, June Poohl of Cedar Rapids, Millie Otdoerfer of Strawberry Point, Neoma Anderson of Savanah, Illinois and Sue Cain of Atkins, a brother, Russell Schueler of Cedar Rapids, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith in 1994, a sister, Lula Anderson and 3 brothers, Eddie Schueler, Merle "Red" Schueler and John Schueler.

She was born on December 6, 1917 in Benton County To Nickolas and Sylvia Grimm Schueler and was married to Keith K. Cargin Sr. on November 25, 1936 in Rock Island, Illinois.

Frances Mae Clauson
Born in Cedar Rapids, IA. on September 29, 1913
Departed on January 13, 2004. Resided in Hiawatha, IA.

Frances Mae Clauson, 90, life long resident of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004, in the Hiawatha Care Center following a long illness. Service at 9 AM Friday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Carroll Brown will officiate. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may register at the chapel after 8:30 AM on Friday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include her loving family, Nancy and husband Morris Kaplan of Cedar Rapids, Jim Clauson and wife Rosalyn of Marion, and Larry Clauson and wife Linda of Polk City, Iowa, seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a nephew Tom Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband John G. Clauson and sister Thora Nelson.
Frances was born September 29, 1913 in Cedar Rapids. She married John G. Clauson on January 9, 1936 in Galena, Illinois. She was a longtime active member of Salem United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Sarah Ann Davis
Born in Mount Vernon, New York on October 13, 1923
Departed on April 17, 2009. Resided in Marion, Iowa.

Sarah Ann Davis of Marion, Iowa and formerly of San Francisco, CA, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at Bickford Cottage, where she had lived for the past 4 years. Sarah was born October 13, 1923 at Mount Vernon, New York to Jerald and Arda Purdy Davis.

Sarah graduated from Independence High School in 1941. She attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, until she enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, and became an Aviation Machinist Mate First Class. Sarah wrote news stories for the Naval Flight Exhibition Team in Jacksonville, Fl.

Sarah attended Stanford U. and USC, graduating in 1952 in Occupational Therapy and certified in Physical Therapy in 1956. In 1963, Sarah received a Master of Arts Degree in Photography from San Francisco State College. She joined the Peace Corp in 1971, serving in Swaziland. Sarah later worked for the Visiting Nurses Association in S.F.

In 1997, Sarah was ordained as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church and served at All Saints Church on Waller Street in San Francisco.
Sarah moved to Iowa City in 2004 and to Bickford Cottage in Marion, IA, in 2005.

Surviving is her sister, Virginia Hoff of Andrew, IA, Jerry and Sue Davis of Cedar Rapids, 20 nieces and nephews and her extended family at Bickford Cottage in Marion. Arrangements are pending.
