A funeral service for Daniel J. Campbell, 19, of Chicago, and formerly of Hoffman Estates, will be held Friday, Apr. 13, 10 a.m. at St. Colette Church. Visitation will be held today (Thursday) from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows. Mr. Campbell was born on Mar. 14, 1988 in Arlington Heights. He died Apr. 9. He attended James Madison High School and was a student of veterinary medicine at Fox College in Oak Lawn. He is survived by his parents, David and Laura Campbell and Julie and Frank McCann; siblings, Katie, David and Elise Campbell and Megan and Kelsey McCann; grandparents, Robert Campbell, Charles and Irene Bergmann, Thomas and Mary McCann, and Carolyn Etchison. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty Campbell and Kenneth Etchison. Interment was held at St. Michael cemetery in Palatine. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Calumet Area 421.

LORETTA M. CARSTENS
Of Elk Grove Village

A funeral service for Loretta M. Carstens nee Fritz of Elk Grove Village, 81, was held Saturday, Apr. 7 at Grove Memorial Chapel. Interment at Woodlawn cemetery. Ms. Carstens was born in Chicago. She was a loving homemaker who wanted to be remembered as a good mother. She was a Kenneth Young Center volunteer, a member of Sheila Ray Elk Grove Senior Center, a grandmother, and a friend. She passed away Monday, Apr. 2. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Michael D. (Christine) Carstens, her fond brothers Ernest Fritz and Frederick Fritz, and her sisters Lillian Galuhn, Betty Holland, and Shirley Lindenmeyer. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen L. (William) Hammerschmidt and Debra A. Carstens and her grandchildren.

JOSEPH P. CHAP
Purple Heart Recipient

A Funeral service for Joseph P. Chap, 86, of Arlington Hts., USAF, WW II Purple Heart recipient, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 13 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Hts. Rd. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Interment will be at St. Casimir. Mr. Chap is survived by his wife Eleanor, (nee Plienis), children Terry (Barbara) and Audrey (Steve) Jehorek and granddaughter Jessica Jehorek. The funeral home is four blocks south of Palatine Rd. in Arlington Hts.

MARIE CORSIGLIA
Of Elk Grove Village

A funeral service for Marie V. Corsiglia (nee Sbertoli), 95, took place on Tuesday, Apr. 3, at Queen of the Rosary Church. Mrs. Corsiglia died on Thursday, Mar. 29, at Manor Care Nursing Center in Elk Grove. She was a loving homemaker, and member of the Alter & Rosary Society of St. Angela Church and The Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Corsiglia was survived by her children Robert J. (Emilie), Richard J. (Barbara) and John J. (Nancy), grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. and siblings John, Joseph and Edward (Edna) Sbertoli.

DAVID A. CUNNINGHAM
Of Glenview

A funeral visitation for David A. Cunningham of Glenview, 68, took place Friday at N.H. Scott & Kanekamp Funeral Home in Glenview. Mr. Cunningham passed away peacefully at home in Glenview on Tuesday, Apr. 3. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Cunningham. He is survived by his beloved mother Edna nee Lantz Cunningham, his loving wife Marylin nee Fitterer Cunningham, whom he loved very much, his cherished son Jon (Lisa), his grandson Sydney Brooke, his dear siblings Janice (Ted) Dannis, Jean (Robert) Mickelsen, Phyllis (Adolph) Novello and Gary (Shari) Cunningham, his siblings-in-law, nieces, and nephew. David was fond uncle and grand-uncle to many. He was blessed with many loving, supportive friends. The world has lost a brilliant artist and beautiful human being.

VIOLET M. DUGO

A funeral service for Violet M. Dugo, 79, of Elk Grove Village was held on Wednesday, Apr. 4 at Grove Memorial Chapel. Ms. Dugo was born in Chicago. She was homemaker for her family. She passed away on Apr. 1, 2007 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her siblings Bill, Andrew, Jack, Jerry and Elizabeth. Ms. Dugo is survived by her husband Joseph R., children Darlene (Harvey) Pokorny, Sheryl, Joseph Jr., Denise, Mark (Sarah) and Michael (Diane) and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial masses are appreciated.

IRMA FONTANA
Of Park Ridge

A funeral service for Irma Fontana (nee Nomellini), 92, took place yesterday (Tuesday) at St. Paul of the Cross Church. Mrs. Fontana was survived by her daughter Jeanne (James) Ferrini of Park Ridge, grandchildren Anthony (Mary) Ferrini, MaryCaren (Glenn) D'Anniballe, Emily (Anthony) Bertronski, Danielle (Beau) Desherow and Joseph (Allison) Ferrini, great-grandchildren Sammantha, Matthew, James, Anthony, Thomas, Robert, Luke, Jeremiah, John Paul and Emelia. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rainbow Hospice are appreciated.

DOROTHY FREDERICK
Of Niles

A funeral service for Dorothy Frederick of Niles, 83, was held Saturday, Apr. 7, at Skaja Terrace Funeral Home. Visitation was held the same day prior to the service. Mrs. Frederick was born on Feb. 17, 1924 in Chicago. She died Wednesday, Apr. 4 at Lovalton Assisted Living. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Leo; sons, David (Deborah) and Robert (Mary); grandchildren Jessica (Bradley) Steinberg and Lindsay and Kyle Frederick. Mrs. Frederick was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ann (nee Bastyr) Monarsky. Interment was held at Queen of Heaven cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Notre Dame High School of Niles Scholarship Fund is appreciated.

PATRICIA A. GRUBBE
Of Des Plaines

A funeral service for Patricia A. Grubbe of Des Plaines, 80, took place Tuesday, Apr. 5 at Glueckert Funeral Home in Elk Grove Village. Visitation was the previous day. Entombment at All Saints cemetery. Patricia was born Dec. 16, 1926 in Chicago. She was a loving mother and grandmother and an accomplished musician. She was music director at St. Mary's Church in Des Plaines, St. Zachary's Church in Des Plaines and Queen of the Rosary Church in Elk Grove Village. Patricia played countless weddings and funerals in the Northwest suburbs. She was also a piano and voice teacher for over 50 years. Patricia passed away Monday, Apr. 2. Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Grubbe, her parents and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, William (Katherine) Grubbe, Regina (Robert Ramagnano) Besenhofer, Thomas (Judith) Grubbe, Pamela (James) Hentges, Frederick (Mary Duke) Grubbe and Patrick (Melissa), her grandchildren and her sister-in-law. If desired, memorial contributions may be given to the Alexian Brothers Health System Foundation, 3040 W. Salt Creek Ln., Arlington Hts., Ill.

DELBERT LLOYD HARRIS
Of Elk Grove Village World War II Veteran

A funeral service for Delbert Lloyd Harris, 78, took place Tuesday, Apr. 10, at St. Julian Eymard Church. Born in Edgar Springs, Missouri, Mr. Harris died peacefully at home with his family on Friday, Apr. 6. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran who was retired for 15 years from Zenith Electronics as vice-president of original equipment manufacturing. Mr. Harris was survived by his children Therese (Rob) Bergmann, Steve (Cathy) Harris, Liz (Dick) DeSimon, Ellen (Rob) Moll and Nancy (Steve) Furlong, brothers Jack (Barbara), Frank (Lana), Gerald (Norma) and Ken (Charlotte) Harris, and sisters Margie (Russ) Taylor, Fay Lyman, Lee Joy Willis and Barbara Walters. He was also survived by his grandchildren Kelly (Nick) Tsoukalas, Kim Calies, Jeff (Alyse) Bergmann, Todd and Jill Bergmann, Luke, Katie, Danny and Jessica DeSimon, Ryan, Sean, Jennifer and Natalie Moll, and Michael, Timothy and Scott Furlong, great grandchildren Faith Calies, Pano and Katie Tsoukalas, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife Ethelreda "Rita" (nee Hennessy).

LELAND R. HELWIG
Former Des Plainesite

Leland R. Helwig, age 92, died April 3, 2007. Born February 3, 1914, in Madison, Wisconsin, he was a former 40-year resident of Des Plaines. Mr. Helwig was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta. Survivors include his five children, Sharon (Nick) Ference, Richard Helwig, Lee (Terry) Helwig, Kathleen (Marty) Carey, and Carol (Gary) Helminski; six grandchildren, Jeff (Colleen) Ference, Colleen Carey, Scott Helminski, 2nd Lt. U.S. Marines; Dirk Carey, Katie (Anthony) Dini, and Greg Helminski, U.S. Army Reserve; and one great-grandchild, Jaeden Ference. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at Maryville Academy Chapel in Des Plaines. Arrangements are by R.T. Patterson Funeral Home, 770-923-2940.

NORMA KNAUSS
Of Arlington Heights

A funeral service for Norma Anne Knauss of Arlington Hts., 70, took place Saturday, Apr. 7 at the Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Hts. Visitation was the previous day. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel cemetery in Palatine. Ms. Knauss was born Oct. 3, 1936 in Chicago to John and Mae G. nee Williams Berry. She was a homemaker and devoted mother of seven. She died Tuesday, Apr. 3 at Glenview Terrace in Glenview. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Laura (Nick) Knauss-Docous, Joan (Jon) Harwell, John (Laura) Knauss, Tom (Cathleen) Knauss and Bill (Lauren), 17 grandchildren, and her brothers John "Jack" and Robert (Beth) Berry. GEORGIANA KYSAR

A funeral service for Georgiana G. Kysar (nee Gross) of Des Plaines, 89, was held Tuesday, Apr. 10, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Visitation was held the day before. Interment was held at Memory Gardens cemetery in Arlington Heights. Mrs. Kysar was born on Jan. 7, 1918 in Columbus, Ind. She died Friday, Apr. 6, 2007. She is survived by her husband David E.; children, Sandi G. (Don) Schuster and David S. (Susie); grandchildren, Bill (Stacey), Chris (Frank) and Becky (Stephen); great- grandchildren, Billy, Lauren, Ryan, Connor, Owen, Olivia and Evan.

HELEN McALLISTER
Of Arlington Heights

Prayers and a funeral mass for Helen McAllister of Arlington Hts., 91, took place Wednesday at Glueckert Funeral Home and Our Lady of the Wayside Church, both in Arlington Hts. Visitation was yesterday. Entombment at All Saints Mausoleum. Helen was born June 23, 1915 in Oak Park to William and Rose nee McCluskey Dwyer. She was a philanthropist and volunteer for the developmentally disabled. She and her husband established the first residential home for Clearbrook Center. They also endowed an infirmary for the developmentally disabled men at Good Shepherd Manor in Momence. She died Friday, Apr. 6 in Arlington Hts. She is preceded in death by her husband, William J. McAllister, whom she married Dec. 30, 1939 in Oak Park, her brother, William, and her parents. Helen is survived by her cousin, Catharine Holmes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Good Shepherd Manor, P.O. Box 260, Momence, Ill.

MARY A. MUMENTHAL
Of Elk Grove Village

A funeral mass for Mary A. Mumenthal, 74, a long-time Elk Grove Village resident, was celebrated Apr. 10 at Queen of the Rosary Church. Burial was in St. Michael cemetery. Arrangements were by Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village. A native of Chicago, she died at home on Apr. 6. She was a 14-year employee of Manpower Co. of Itasca, and was a member of the Shiela Ray Senior Center. She was an avid fan of line dancing. Surviving are her husband, Frank J. Mumenthal, to whom she was married for 54 years; children Kathleen A. (John) Canary, Michael F. (Bernadette), and Darlene D. Mumenthal; sisters Lillian Gazda and Lucille (William) Ellis; grandchildren Shaun (Elizabeth), Thomas Canary, Alexander, and Meghan Mumenthal; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials are requested to breast cancer research.

GERALD S. RIDGE
Of Elk Grove Village

A funeral service for Gerald S. Ridge of Elk Grove Village, 44, took place Wednesday, Apr. 4 at Grove Memorial Chapel. Interment at Fairview Memorial Park. Mr. Ridge was born in Chicago. He passed away Friday, Mar. 3. He is survived by his loving parents, Robert H. and La Verne B. nee Sand Ridge, his dear brother Jeffrey R. (Linda) Ridge, his fond aunts and uncles Robert and Carolyn Sand, Virginia Taylor, and Leslie and Nancy Ridge, and his dear nephews Nicholas and Austin Ridge.

GERALD T. ROHRER
Of Park Ridge

A funeral service for the Hon. Gerald T. Rohrer of Park Ridge, 66, will be today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. from Ryan-Parke Funeral Home in Park Ridge to St. Paul of the Cross Church for 11:30 a.m. mass. Visitation and wake service was yesterday. Interment Private. Mr. Rohrer was a retiree from the Circuit Court of Cook County. He passed away Friday, Apr. 6 at his home. He is survived by his beloved wife Pauline, his beloved children Gerald Jr. (Janis) Sankot and Jennifer (Kenneth) Sankot, his dear grandchildren Kellie Rohrer, Jack Sankot, Meaghan Sankot, and Daniel Sankot and his fond brother Charles (Melinda), and many dear nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Catholic Charities or Salvation Army appreciated.

FOSTER ROSER, JR.
Of Prospect Heights

A funeral service for Foster B. Roser, Jr. of Prospect Heights, 79, was held Wednesday, Apr. 4, at St. Simon's Episcopal Church is Arlington Heights. Mr. Roser was born on May 7, 1927 in Detroit, Mich. He died Friday, Mar. 30 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. He wa a life-long employee of General Motors, retiring as a regional manager in 1984. He served in the Navy during World War II and volunteered for 22 years at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. Foster served on the stewardship committee at the United Church of Christ Rolling Meadows and at the National level for the UCC. He was the chair of the finance committee and also served on the board of directors for the Rob Roy Homeowners association. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. (nee Des Jardins); children, Victoria (Ray Hofmann) Simms, Melissa (Daryl) Metzger and Pamela (Paul) Geallis; grandchildren, Hope, Joshua and Joy Geallis; brother, Sherman (Victoria) Roser; niece, Wendy Campion. Mr. Roser was preceded in death by his parents Foster B., Sr. and Helen (nee Sherman) and daughter Andrea Roe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation.

DEMETRIO SANCHEZ
Of Elk Grove Village

A funeral service for Demetrio Sanchez of Elk Grove Village, 66, was held Saturday, Apr. 7 at Grove Memorial Chapel. Mr. Sanchez was born in Michoacan, Mexico. He was a retired employee of Rode Welding Co. of Elk Grove Village, where he worked for 29 years. He also worked as a part time taxi driver for Futura Cab Company. He passed away Apr. 3 at Northwest Community Hospital. He is preceded in death by his father, Rafael Sanchez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Cecilia nee Melesio, his loving children Maria C. (Rafael) Villanueva, Jose R. (Ceferina) Sanchez, Maribel (Michael) Grossmann, Maricruz (James) Schlottman and Laura Sanchez, his loving mother Maria Cruz nee Villa, his cherished grandchildren Genesis, Josue, Bianca, Sabrina, Andrea, Mia, Allie and 10 brothers and sisters.
