Marjean A. Davison, 69, of Halstead, Kan.. died Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. She was born on July 25, 1945 in Newton, Kan. the daughter of the late Johnnie and Margaret (Humiston) Bisoni. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gary M. Davison. They were married Sept. 4, 1965 in Halstead. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Michael (Tiffany) Davison of Halstead; a daughter, Sandra (Brad) Rippelmeyer of Columbia; two brothers, Ray Alan (Pam) Bisoni of Roy, Utah and Danny (Faye) Bisoni of Newton, Kan.; and six grandchildren. Marjean was in the banking business for 38 years. She retired in 2005. She was a member of the Halstead United Methodist where she served as president and treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and Helianthos II of Halstead. Marjean was a 1963 graduate of Halstead High School and received her Associates Degree from Salt City Business College in Hutchinson, Kan. She was a resident of Peabody, Kansas for three years before returning to Halstead. She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and watching all of their sporting events. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and serving as a volunteer for various causes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Ruth Bisoni and a brother, David J. Bisoni. Visitation was at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral was at the Halstead United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Helianthos II and Halstead United Methodist Church.

Charles “Tony” Giglotto, 71, of Waterloo, died Oct. 30, 2014. He was born April 7, 1943 in East St. Louis. Mr. Giglotto is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (nee Rubemeyer) Giglotto; children, Clay A. Giglotto and Mark Giglotto; grandchildren. Drew Giglotto, Taylor Giglotto, Taryn Giglotto, Samantha Giglotto and Ashley Giglotto; brothers. Beasley Prather, John (Nancy) Prather and Lee (Charles) Jerls; a sister, Mary Jean Hartrum; his sister-in-law, Delores Rubemeyer; and a brother-in-law, Roger Rubemeyer; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy L. Rasure; a grandson, Brady Clay Giglotto; brother ,Edward Joseph Giglotto; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Rubemeyer and Keith Hartrum. Mr. Giglotto served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Waterloo VFW. He was retired from the City of Waterloo and had also been a real estate broker. Mr. Giglotto was also a member of the Waterloo Lions Club, Monroe County Genealogical Society, St. Clair County Genealogical Society, St. Louis Genealogical Society and the Illinois Genealogical Society. Visitation and funeral were at Quernheim Funeral Home with Pastor R.J. Morgan officiating. Mr. Giglotto was buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Mary E. Hicks, nee Miles, 92 of Waterloo, died Sept. 16, 2014 in St. Louis. She was born July 2, 1922, in Mitchie, the daughter of the late Elmer and Lena (nee Theis) Miles. Mrs. Hicks is survived by her children, Carol (William) Snodgrass, Arthur "Buddy" (Angel) Hicks, Rose (Terry) Michael and Debbie (Ron) Johnson; family friend, Roger Mueller; grandchildren, Scott (Stacy) Snodgrass, Chrissy Sperduto, Amy (Chris) Schlemmer, Melissa Rednour, Suzanne (Todd) Sturman, Denise Hicks, Ryan (Lucretia) Hicks and Travis Pennington (fiancée Jennifer Forshee); granddaughter-in-law, Joyce (Kevin) Wheat; and great-grandchildren, Eli and Emma Snodgrass, Alison Snodgrass, Samantha Wheat, Dylan Michael, Brenden Schlemmer, Haley Rednour, Courtney and Rylee Sperduto, Wade, Blythe, Gage Sturman and Adam Hicks; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur "Bud" G. Hicks (who died in 1999), grandson, Brian Snodgrass; brother, Elmer Miles Jr.; and sisters, Alma (Lyman) Monroe, Geneva (Al) Futrell and Annabelle (Art) Seidel. Mrs. Hicks was attended First Baptist Church in Waterloo. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral was at her church with Pastor Steve Neill officiating. Mrs. Hicks was buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church or to the Shriner's Burn Center.

Marilyn Frances Schuttenhelm, nee Wuertz, 78, of Columbia, died Sept 18, 2014. She was born Oct. 11, 1935 in Harrisonville, the daughter of the late John George Francis and Lillian Odelia (nee Keepes) Wuertz. Mrs. Schuttenhelm is survived by her daughter, Mary (Gardner) Wuertz von Holt; step-sons, William (Kathy) Schuttenhelm and John Schuttenhelm; step-grandsons, Justin (Amanda) Schuttenhelm, David Schuttenhelm and Jacob Schuttenhelm; siblings, Donald (Judy) Wuertz, Carol Roy and Thomas (Linda) Wuertz; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeanne Wuertz, Eileen Wuertz and David Ahrens; along with nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Schuttenhelm; brothers James Wuertz, William Wuertz and Bernard Wuertz; a sister, Rose Ahrens; a brother-in-law, Earl Roy; and nephews, John Wuertz and Scott Wuertz. Mrs. Schuttenhelm graduated from Valmeyer High School in 1953 and had worked at Knaust Mushroom Farm, MAR Graphics and General Motors. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral was at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia with Msgr. Carl Scherrer officiating. Mrs. Schuttenhelm was buried at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Madonnaville. Memorials may be made to the Robert Mathews Local Families In Need Foundation.

John H. Brinkmann, 48, of Waterloo, died Jan. 5, 2011 in Belleville. He was born March 16, 1962, in Red Bud, the son of the Margaret (nee Vogt) Brinkmann and the late Robert H. Brinkmann. In addition to his mother, Mr. Brinkmann is survived by sisters Anne (Steve) Candler, Janice (Dave Sr.) Holdener, Kathy (Darrell) Hitzemann and Dorothy (Paul) Mollet; a brother, Joseph (Liz) Brinkmann; and his dog, Louie; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by uncles Tony and Erm Vogt. Mr. Brinkmann was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo and IBEW Union Local 1. Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral is Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo with Father Osang Idagbo officiating. Mr. Brinkmann will be buried at his church’s cemetery. Memorials may be made to the SPPS Grade School Building Fund.

Bernice Elizabeth Huebner, 76, of St. Louis died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at the St. Louis Altenheim. She was born Nov. 26, 1934, in Monroe County, the daughter of the late George Henry and Anna Louise (Krebel) Huebner. Her survivors include a niece, Deborah (James) Baumann; great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Klasek; and a niece, Barbara Klasek. Visitation is Friday, Jan. 14, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Kutis City Chapel, 2906 Gravois, in St. Louis. Funeral is Saturday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m., at St. Wenceslaus Church in St. Louis. Mrs. Huebner will be buried at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to The Backstoppers.

Ida C. Niebruegge, nee Wienhoff, 86, of Valmeyer, died Jan. 7, 2011 in Des Peres, Mo. She was born May 22, 1924 in Waterloo, the daughter of the late Henry and Emma (nee Rick) Wienhoff. Mrs. Niebruegge is survived by her children, Barbara (David) Kendall, Janis (Gary) Rau and Ronald (Mary) Niebruegge; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd H. Niebruegge; son Richard J. Niebruegge; sisters Josephine Toenjes, Alice Belter, Lucy Fitzgerald, Alma Barnard, Pearl Schmitz; brother, Walter Wienhoff. Mrs. Niebruegge was a member of the St. Ann Altar Sodality at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Valmeyer. Visitation is Sunday, Jan. 9, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo. Funeral is Monday, Jan. 10, at 10 a.m., at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo with Father Urban Osuji officiating. Mrs. Niebruegge will be buried at the church’s cemetery. Memorials may be made to her church, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo or Garden Place in Red Bud.

Stella Maxine White, nee Brooks, 81, of Waterloo, died Jan. 7, 2011, at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo. She was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Redford, Mo., the daughter of the late Harry and Ida (nee Hendon) Brooks. She married Donald E. White on Jan. 1, 1947 in Bismark, Mo. He died in 2006. Mrs. White is survived by her daughters Peggy (Dan) Gallon of St. Louis and Donna (James) Langsdorf of Waterloo; a son, Bruce (Jeanette) White, Saint Clair, Mo.; grandchildren Jeffrey (Jessica) White, Linda Suzanne (Mike) Korte, Stephanie White, Dana (Harold) Hawn, Herb (Kim) Mosby Jr. and Heather (John) Wilson; great-grandchildren Zakary Mosby, Sam Mosby, Madelyn Mosby, Jacob Wilson, Colleen Wilson, Ashley Korte, Michael Korte, Megan Mettler, Chelsea White, Andrew Mettler, Anthony White, Minas Kassious and Adam Baglin; and a great-grandchild, Xavier Korte. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Mark White; brothers Guy Brooks and Robert Brooks; and sisters Stacy Counts, Dolly Young and Helen Brooks. Mrs. White graduated from Ellington High School in 1944 and Southwest Baptist College in 1946. Mrs. She taught a business course at Irondale High School and also worked at various positions to help her husband through college. Stella also was employed for 26 years as an accountant at the Salvation Army Headquarters in St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. White attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the Highland VFW Auxiliary Post 5694. She enjoyed sewing, golf, working on computers and caring for her grandchildren. Visitation is Monday, Jan. 10 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Funeral is Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Adrian Lamkin officiating. Memorials may be made to Whispering Pines wing at Oak Hill Nursing Home or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Tim H. Crook, 52, of Red Bud, died Jan. 9, 2011 in Red Bud. He was born April 27, 1958 in Red Bud, the son of Harold and Mary Catherine (nee Miller) Crook. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crook is survived by his wife, Karen (nee Homrighausen) Crook; children Jamie (Dan) Schindler and Daniel (Sally) Crook; granddaughter Kaitlynn Schindler; sisters Nancy (George) Schmidt, Judy (Michael) Klein, Brenda Crook and Gina Arnold, and Wanda (Gary) Juelfs; a brother, Paul (Debbie) Crook; father-in-law, Henry (Brenda) Homrighausen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vernon (Marie) Homrighausen, David Homrighausen, Dennis (Suzy) Homrighausen, Leon (Shari) Homrighausen and Ronald (Donna) Homrighausen; and half-brothers-in-law, John Homrighausen and Cody Homrighausen; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Anne Crook; grandmother, Catherine Miller; mother-in-law, Linda Homrighausen; and grandmothers-in-law Minnie Homrighausen and Anne Wachtel. Mr. Crook attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud. He was a member of the Red Bud Knights of Columbus and Sheet Metal Workers Local 268. Visitation is Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral is Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud with Monsignor Dennis Schaefer officiating. Mr. Crook will be buried at the SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Waterloo.

Rev. Pete M. Goodman Sr., 57, of Waterloo, died Jan. 10, 2011 in St. Louis, Mo. He was born Dec. 11, 1953 in Hardy, Ark., the son of Verona Goodman and the late Vester Goodman. In addition to his mother, Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife, Lela Goodman; children Pete Jr. (Dawn) Goodman and Debra (Derrick) Rabbermann; grandchildren Kyle, Luke, Grace and Peyton; sisters Wilma (Ronnie) Rednour, Teresa (George) Rednour, Karen (Bill) Dickerson and Sharon (Bret) Berghoefer; and brothers Lester Goodman and Carl Goodman. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dale E. Goodman and Otis Goodman. Pete was a member of Bethel Fellowship Church in Dupo. Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor James Harget officiating.
