Adele Bauchens, 82, of Columbia, formerly of Dupo, died April 13, 2008, in Columbia. She was born April 21, 1925, in East St. Louis, the daughter of the late George and Theodora (Janice) Morgan. She was married to the late Mervin Bauchens. Mrs. Bauchens is survived by her friend Maryann Chilovich of Columbia; and her beloved pets, Casey and Andy. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers. Mrs. Bauchens was the owner and operator of Bauchens and Morgan Women's Clothing Shop in Dupo. Private graveside services were held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County.

Travis Wren, 38, of Red Bud, died April 15, 2008, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 17, 1970, at St. Clement's Hospital in Red Bud, the son of Gerry Wren nee Dougherty of Red Bud and the late Walter Wren. Mr. Wren is survived by his daughter Emma Jones; sister Susan (Mike) Kosydor of Waterloo; niece Kelly Kosydor; and nephew Mike Kosydor. He was preceded in death by grandparents James and Mary Wren, and James and Effie Dougherty. He was employed as a forklift operator. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bruce Dalman, 38, died April 17, 2008, at his parent's home in rural Waterloo. He was born Feb. 21, 1970, the son of Ernest and Mary Dalman nee Brand. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers Keith (Nora Sunman) Dalman of Waterloo and Bryan Dalman of Waterloo; and niece Mara Dalman of Waterloo; along with aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation and a funeral service were at DeFabio Funeral Home.

Donald C. Borcharding, 56, of Waterloo, died April 19, 2008, in St. Louis. He was born April 29, 1951, in Red Bud, the son of Alvin and Arlou Borcharding nee Janson of Columbia. He married Marilyn Borcharding nee Metter in 1971. Mr. Borcharding is survived by his parents; wife; brother Tom Borcharding of Columbia; and nieces and nephews Jon Borcharding, Brandon, Kevin, and Andrew Costello, Stephanie Metter, Abbey and Kelly Metter; along with other relatives and friends. Mr. Borcharding was a member of U.S. Army 892nd Transportation Company and was an Army veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of the St. Louis Model Railroaders and employed as a supervisor at HTC Communications in Waterloo for 34 years. Visitation and a funeral service were at Lawlor Funeral Home. He is buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Columbia. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County or the de Greeff Hospice House.

Vivian McDonald nee Turley, 94, of Waterloo, died April 21, 2008, in Red Bud. She was born Feb. 25, 1914, in Central City, Ky., the daughter of the late Jadie and Ada Turley, nee Grosse. She was married to the late Joseph McDonald. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her sisters Rebecca Peterson and Anna Francis; and brother Marion Turley; along with nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and five sisters. Mrs. McDonald was a member St. Paul United Church of Christ of Waterloo and Eastern Star. Visitation and a funeral service were at Quernheim Funeral Home, Pastor Doug Roberts officiating. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to the church.

Olga Marie Nabers of Hillsboro, formerly of Valmeyer, died April 21, 2008, in Springfield. She was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Tilset, Mo., the youngest daughter of the late Gustav Adolph and Bertha Kamp Zeller. She married the late Auval "Slim" Nabers in 1948. Mrs. Nabers is survived by her daughter Maribeth (David) Rahe of Hillsboro; step-children Fanny Sue (the late Albert Jr.) Schellhardt and Lowell (Dorothy) Nabers; grandsons Nathan and Zachary Rahe, Michael, Steven and Joel Schellhardt and Keith and Todd Nabers; and nine great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded death by her parents, husband, brothers Paul Zeller of Chicago and Edward Zeller of Jackson, Mo. and sister Hilda Maevers of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Mrs. Nabers was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilset, Mo., and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo since 1948. She was a graduate of College High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Southeast Missouri State Teachers College in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She taught school for 35 years in Matthews, Mo. (three years), Waterloo (six years) and Valmeyer (26 years). Along with Paul Randolph, she founded an educational and social group for couples made up of veterans and their families in Valmeyer. She was also an adult leader of Valley Maids 4-H Club and was active in Monroe County Extension at the local and county level and was a life member of Illinois Retired Teacher's Association. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral was at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She is buried at St. John United Church of Christ Church Cemetery in Valmeyer. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Walter C. Winkler, 74, of Waterloo, died April 22, 2008, in Town & Country, Mo. He was born Sept. 24, 1933, in Waterloo, the son of the late Herman C. and Louise Winkler nee Eckert. Mr. Winkler is survived by his daughters Deborah (John) Graeler, Teresa (Roger) Raglin, Pamela (Tracy) Rolstad, and Marcia (John) Schotz; 10 grandchildren; brother Herman R. Winkler; sister Shirley Gill; along with brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Margie Cline. Mr. Winkler was a member of Teamster Local #688 and Waterloo Senior Citizens. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. A private burial was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Ronald C. Schrauth, 74, of Millstadt, died April 22, 2008. He was born Sept. 9, 1933, the son of the late Cletus and Lauretta Schrauth. He was married to the late Rochelle K. Schrauth. Mr. Schrauth is survived by his children Renee Friederich of Mascoutah, Rhonda (Randy) Beare of Millstadt, Ramona Schrauth of Belleville, and Rebecca Schrauth of Millstadt; grandchildren Laura (J.T.) Heideman, Stacy, Matthew and Julie Friederich, Robyn Beare, Randi (Rob) Brown, Carli and Taylor Fulgham; great-grandchildren Bryce Friederich and Ava Heideman; sister Jean (Charlie) Fowler of Texas; and sister-in-law Linda (Ken) Lynch of St. Louis; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Mr. Schrauth was retired from Peabody Coal Co. Pit Six in Marissa. Visitation and a funeral service were at Dashner-Strauss Funeral Home in Millstadt, Pastor Johnathan Hubbard officiating. He is buried at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt. Memorials may be made to Millstadt Senior Nutrition Center.

Harold F. Lickenbrock, 88, of Waterloo, died April 23, 2008, in Red Bud. He was born Feb. 6, 1920, in St. Libory, the son of the late Leo C. and Carrie Lickenbrock nee Middendorf. Mr. Lickenbrock is survived by his stepchildren Terry Finnerty, and Nancy (David) Graper; grandchildren Kevin Graper, Kristi Graper, Kathryn (Harold) Tillman, Karri (Daniel) Haggin, and Brad (Elise) Finnerty; 10 great-grandchildren; the Barbara Daley Family; brother Leo (Irene) Lickenbrock; sisters-in-law Rosemary Licken-brock and Joan Rehmer; along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Marie A. Lickenbrock nee Mueller and Ruth H. Lickenbrock nee Rehmer; stepson Michael Finnerty; brother George Lickenbrock; and sisters Dorothy Friederich and Ruth C. Lickenbroch. Mr. Lickenbroch was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo and Knights of Columbus Council # 1334 4th Degree. He was a member of American Legion Post # 683 in St. Libory, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and Monroe Council for the Handicapped. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He is buried at St. Pancratius Cemetery in Mascoutah.

Mary Alice Biggs nee Rowe, 88, of Dupo, died April 23, 2008. She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Scott City, Mo., the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Rowe nee Mason. She married Kelvia Lee Biggs in 1934; he preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Biggs is survived by her children Sally (Guy Gause) Plew of Dupo, Marilyn (Bill) Conrad of Danville, Jill (Paul) Naylor of Albertsville, Ala., and Jack Biggs, Danny (Bev) Biggs and Larry (Debbie) Biggs, all of Dupo; grandchildren Keith Meagher, Mary (Brian) Bethea, Debbie (Brad) Dell, Dawn (Jeff) Snider, Danielle (Clif) Ticer, Justin (Leslie) Biggs, Jeff (Candice) Biggs and Shane Biggs of Dupo, Diana (Carl) Willyard and Dennis (Rhonda) Plew of Cahokia, Kim (Anthony) Vick of Rossville, Ind., Pam (Tommy) Baugh, Tammy (Phillip) Tipton, Robbie Sparks, Donna (Mark) Hampton and Jill Ann Gargus of Albertsville, Ala., Donnie (Adrianna) Sparks of Fort Lewis, Wash., Jaime (Randy) Vaugh of St. Charles, Mo.; 45 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren; brother Larry (Betty) Rowe of Columbia; son-in-law Dennis Meagher of Dupo; along with, nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Diane Meagher, sisters Maxine Hurt and Edna VanPelt, son-in-law Charlie Plew, great-grandson Jeremy Baugh, and niece Peggy McElroy. Mrs. Boggs was a 50-year member of the Wilson Lodge 886 Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union, Ladies Auxiliary of the Dupo American Legion and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Dupo Volunteer Fire Department. Mary and Kelvia Biggs dispatched out of their home for the Dupo Volunteer Fire Department for more than 30 years. Visitation and funeral services were at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Pastor Darrell Jones officiating. She is buried at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville. Memorials may be made to the Dupo Volunteer Fire Department or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
