Martha F. MacLean, 82, Shelbyville, died at 12:45 a.m. Monday (July 30, 2001) in her residence.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at How & Yockey Funeral Home.

Henry Petit
Pana
Henry Petit, 87, Pana, died at 12:10 a.m. Friday (July 27, 2001) in Heritage Manor, Pana.
Funeral services will be Tuesday July 31 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials ban be made to the donor's choice.
He was born Sept. 25, 1913 in Pana, the son of Alexander and Leona Duchmin Petit, deceased. He married Mary Crow Feb. 3, 1939 in St. Louis. She survives.
Also surviving are daughters, Mary Ann Morehead of Akron, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jeffery Morehead and wife Shelly of Akron, Susan Hoffman and husband Joseph of North Royalton, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Sidney and Christopher Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by on sister, one brother, and one grandchild.
He lived his entire life in Pana and was a member of the United Mine Workers.

Hazel Schinzler
Pana
Hazel Schinzler, 87, Pana, died Thursday (July 26, 2001) in Prairie Rose.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 28, 2001 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Gibson officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
She was born June 27, 1914 in Cherry Valley Ark., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hanan, both deceased. She married Harold K. Schinzler April 27, 1935. He died Sept. 19, 1992.
Surviving are children, Larry Schinzler and wife Kathleen, Bloomington, Kenneth R. Schinzler of Pana, Richard E. Schinzler of Herrick, Mary E. Snow of Pana, Shirley A. Atkinson and husband Earl of Tower Hill, and Barbara K. Britton and husband Philip of Pana; sister, Irene Glenn of Batesville, Ark.; and six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Douglas Lawrence

Douglas Ray Lawrence, 41, Pana, died 12:38 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 2, 2001).
Funeral Services will be Monday Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde and Sara Kallal, Pastor of New Beginnings Assembly of God Church, Pana assisted by Pastor Clifford "Buddy" Sanders of First Assembly of God Church, Centralia, IL. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug., 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Lawrence was born Jan. 18, 1960 in Pana, the son of Thomas and Elsie Sanders Lawrence, Pana. He married Cynthia R. Lawrence Sept. 22, 1998 in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. She survives.
Also surviving are stepson, Zachary Dionne; brother, Thomas Lawrence of Herrick, Denny Lawrence of Pana; several nieces; and several nephews.
He lived his entire life in the Pana area and graduated from Pana High School. He was a member of the Straight Shooters Motorcycle Club.

Michael Riley
Cowden
Michael Shannon Riley, 27, of Cowden, IL passed away at 1:10 a.m. Sunday, August 5, 2001. He was born February 4, 1974 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Gene and Debra Bishop Riley. He was employed as a pipe welder at the Holland Energy Project and was a member of the Christ Tabernacle church in Herrick. He loved fishing, Motocross, played football for the Decatur Bears Football Team and was a rodeo bull rider.
Surviving are his parents of Cowden, fiancee Jeanette Einhorn of Island Grove,, IL; Grandparents Bill and Pat Bishop of Shelbyville and Wanda Riley of Herrick; Brother, Troy Riley and wife Misty of Shelbyville; sisters Lori Garcia and husband Tony of Mattoon, and Kate Pagel and husband James of Edgewood; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Merlyn Riley, SR; great-grandparents Olive Pescitelli, Harry and Marie Riley, Raymond and Emma Lewis, Wendell and Gladys Bishop and George Temple.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2001 in the Christ Tabernacle Church in Herrick with Assistant Pastor William Kistler officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Cowden. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery near Beecher City. Memorials: To the Family or Donor's Choice.

Annabelle Robertson
Tower Hill
Annabelle Robertson, 78, of Tower Hill, IL passed away at 9:53 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Pana Community Hospital in Pana,IL.
Mrs. Robertson was born October 11, 1922 in Tower Hill, IL the daughter of Gail L. and Pearl Bennett Borton.
She married Leslie Carroll Robertson April 7, 1944 in Tower Hill.
She was a member of the Tower Hill United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Cold Springs HCE and the Officer's Wives Club. She taught Sunday and Vacation Bible School. She was a 4H Leader in Shelby County, a Cub Scout Leader in Japan, and a Girl Scout Leader in Virginia, Maryland, and Massachusetts. She liked to travel and had visited all the states of the union except Alaska. She graduated from Tower Hill High School in 1940 and Eastern Illinois University in 1944.
Surviving are her husband, Colonel Leslie Carroll Robertson USAF(Retired); son William Leslie Robertson, Sr. and wife Mary Ann of Flower Mound TX; daughter Carol Ann McNeel and husband Raymond (Buddy) of New Castle, CO; brothers Robert B. Borton and Gail L. Borton, Jr.; grandchildren William L. Robertson, Jr.; Michelle L. Evans, Tyler E. Robertson, Frank I. Robertson and Annie M. McNeel; great-grandchildren; Michael A. Evans, Stephen A. Evans, William L. Robertson III, and Andrew S. Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Helen L. Arnett.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Wednesday, August 8, 2001 in the United Methodist Church of Tower Hill. Rev. Cynthia Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery, Tower Hill. Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church of Tower Hill.

Reatha O. Rezinas
Shelbyville
Reatha O. Rezinas, 98, of Shelbyville, died at 5:13 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2001 in the Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur.
She was born March 9, 1903 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Jacob and Mattie Fringer Kimlel.
She married Thomas P. Rezinas in 1925 and he died in 1980. She and her husband owned and operated the Shelbyville Candy Kitchen for 35 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Shelbyville.
Surviving are her two sons, Pano Rezinas of Gordon Grove, CA and William Rezinas of Shelbyville; daughter, Mrs. Charles "Helen" Lord of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, George Rezinas and one brother, George Kimlel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lockart & Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorials: Decatur Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Anita Dawn Blackwell
Cowden
Anita Dawn Blackwell, 25, of Cowden, died at 12:23 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2001 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8 :00 p.m. Thursday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Memorials may be given to the Ashli and Brittany Blackwell Education Fund.
Anita was born on October 2, 1975 in Jacksonville, Arkansas, the daughter of David R. and Katherine Hicks Jones. She was employed by Fedders Corporation in Effingham and a member of Boilermakers Union #105S, Effingham. She married Jeremy Glenn Blackwell on June 15, 1993. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughters, Ashli Renee Blackwell and Brittany Marie Blackwell both at home; parents, David and Katherine Jones of Cabot, Arkansas; brother, Michael Jones of Grand Forks, North Dakota; and sister, Carolyn Volz of North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Cora Engle
Pana
Cora Engle, 85, of Pana died Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at 5:35 p.m. in Pana Community Hospital.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana.
Mrs. Engle was born January 16, 1916 in Newcomerstown, Ohio, the daughter of Wayne and Bertha Herburt Little.
She married Curtis Orlands Engle in February 1941. He preceded her in death in 1974.
She retired from the G. C. Murphy Company in Ambridge, PA. She moved to Pana in 1984 from Ambridge and prior to that had lived in Ohio.
Survivors include a daughter, Joan Beeson, of Pana; and a sister, Ruth Wise, of Newcomerstown, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons: Johnny in 1947 and Robert in 1950; and by four brothers.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, Pana.

Jerry L. Brown
Neoga
Jerry L. Brown, 65, of Neoga, formerly of Champaign, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2001 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, at Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home in Neoga. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 10 with the Rev. Ron Lake officiating. Burial will be in Neoga Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was born on September 27, 1935 in Urbana, Illinois, the son of Jesse and Lillian (Scott) Brown. He married Norma (Bishop) Schreiber on October 24, 1960 in Danville.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Brown of Neoga, Step sons Craig Sawyer and wife Nancy of Champaign; Stephen Schreiber and wife Christine of St. Paul, Minnesota, Stepdaughter Mrs. Larry (Betsy) Burgess of Windsor, Mother Mrs. Lillian Conley of Urbana, sisters Mrs. Ruby Shepherd of Urbana; Mrs. Edith Farmer of Thomasboro; half brothers, Michael McClain of Tuscola; David Conley of Urbana; Jerome Conley of Rantoul; half sister Amber Conley of Urbana; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, one sister and one great grandson.
Mr. Brown was a truck driver for Champaign Builders Supply and retired from K. C. Distributing Company of Mattoon. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Teamster's Union Local #26 of Champaign, Neoga American Legion and the Neoga Car Club.
