Freeda L. Terrell
Pana
Freeda L. Terrell, 93, of Pana passed away Sun. Sept. 16, 2001 at 9:29 a.m. at Heritage Manor in Pana.
She was born Dec. 8, 1907 in Montgomery County, IL to Wesley and Lula Sanders Dilbeck.
Mrs. Terrell grew up in Oconee, married Clifford E. Terrell and moved to Southern Illinois, went to Taylorville in 1953 and to Pana in 1968.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church,in Pana. Mrs. Terrell was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sister, Susan Stephenson of Pana, five nephews, C.W. Dilbeck; Ronald Dilbeck; Dennis Wilson; Richard Wilson; Gary Stephenson. Four nieces, Shirley Bryant; Patricia Chantos; Nancy Twine; Melissa Stephenson. She also played a very important role in the lives of Mary Turner, William Winters, David Winters, Richard Winters and Derek & Cory Turner.
Preceding her in death are parents, husband, 3 brothers: Cecil Dilbeck, Charles Dilbeck, and Orville Dilbeck; Sister, Cleo Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to : First United Presbyterian Church of Pana.
Visitation is Thursday from 10 am until service time at the First United Presbyterian Church in Pana.
Funeral services are Thursday September 20,2001 in First United Presbyterian Church in Pana at 11:00 am. With Rev. Marilyn Ranch officiating.
Burial is Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton.

Vicki Gene Isley
Dieterich
Vicki Gene Isley, 54, of Dieterich died at 7:30 p.m. September 16 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham.
She was born June 10, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Dale and Genevieve (Cothern) Wilson. He was a secretary for Montrose Mutual Telephone Company in Dieterich. She married Glen Isley in 1967 and he survives. She married Wayne Lenz in 2000 and he survives.
Also surviving are son Kurt and wife Angela of Hanover Park , IL ; son Greg of Springfield; and daughter Melissa of Effingham. Also, brother Jim Wilson of Linton, Indiana; and sister Mrs. Paul (Kay) Bailey of Sunland, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a member of the Dieterich Immaculate Conception Church where she was church organist, and a member of the Effingham Community Chorus, Effingham Voices Unlimited, and FACE. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1971.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday September 20, at Dieterich Immaculate Conception Church with Father Edwin Albers and Father Sylvano Pera officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Dieterich. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church with a Wake Service at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.

Mary Edna Zindel
Decatur
Mary Edna Zindel, 78, of Decatur died at 8:32 a.m. on Sunday, September 16 in Vandalia.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 20 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with Rev. Jon Cockrel officiating. Visitation will be from six to eight p.m. on Wednesday, September 19 Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Assumption. Memorials may be made to Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice.
Mrs. Zindel was born in Owaneco, on March 5, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Chloe Buck Beemen. She worked in Home Health Care.
Surviving are sons Larry and wife Kristina of Moweaqua; son Dennis and wife Almalee of Blanchard, OK; daughters Mary Sue and husband Chuck Ruot of Vandalia and Cathy and husband Jerry Shaffner of Shelbyville; brother Charles Edward and wife Carol Beemen of Pennsylvania; grandchildren Justin and wife Natalie Zindel of Decatur; Mindy and husband Alan Frost of Japan; Dennis and wife Tara Zindel, Latanya and husband David Standridge, Conrad and wife Clorissa Zindel all of Bridgecreek, OK; Jeromy Ruot of St. Louis; Jason and wife Jamey Ruot, Joshua Ruot, Bethni Ruot, all of Vandalia; Keri Arndt, Pensacola FL; Amy File, Pana; Jeanette File, Shelbyville; Audrey File, Pana; and Michelle Wright, Mechanicsburg and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter Sharon Mentz, parents, two brothers, six sisters and granddaughter Stacey Arndt.

Floyd C. Bauer
Windsor
Floyd C. Bauer, 90, of Windsor, died at 8 a.m. Saturday (September 22, 2001) in his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Michael Mohr officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery.
He was born September 19, 1911 in Richland Township, Shelby County, IL, the son of Godfrey and Clara Altag Bauer.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Strasburg and a charter member of the National Farmers Organization in Shelby County.
He married Lillie F. Schultz, February 22, 1939 in Stewardson.
Surviving are his wife, Lillie; sons Dwaine Bauer and wife Susan and Don Bauer and wife Cindy, both of Windsor; grandchildren Hank Bauer and wife Cindy; Karen Boyer and husband Travis and Mary Sims and husband Hank all of Windsor; great-grandchildren Dallas and Morgan Bauer and Noah Boyer.
Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church or the Windsor Fire Department.

Jean Winings
Findlay
Jean Winings, 61, of Findlay passed away at 1:10 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2001 in St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Mrs. Winings was born September 3, 1940, the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth McClain Byrley.
She was the owner of CJ's Boutique in Findlay. Prior to her marriage she was a nurse. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Shelbyville.
She married Richard Winings on August 14, 1960 in Findlay and he survives. Also surviving are her mother, Elizabeth McClain of Findlay; her children Danny Winings and wife Mandy of Windsor, IL, Cindy Lucas of Sullivan, Theresa Williams and husband Rick of Findlay, Sherry Shuff and husband Chris of Findlay; half brother James Byrley of Ohio and half sister Dottie Parker also of Ohio; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Byrley, half brothers Buck Byrley and Darrell McCarther, and sister Shirley Plumb.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Findlay. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Jean Winings Benefit at the Shelby County State Bank.
She has gone to be with her beloved sister Shirley Plumb.

Alice Roberta Carson
Cowden
Alice Roberta Carson, 80, of Cowden, died at 3:20 a.m. Monday, (September 24, 2001) in the Shelby Manor in Shelbyville after a brief illness.
She was born May 26, 1921 in Cowden, the daughter of Isaac Marion and Alice Miller Carson.
Roberta was a lifetime resident of Cowden. She was previously employed by the Cowden-Herrick School District as a custodian.
Surviving are sisters Mary Boling of Denver, CO; and Ruth Cochran of Decatur, two nieces, three nephews and her long time good friend Minnie Watson of Cowden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Cowden. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice.

Tina Marie Langley
Pana
Tina Marie Langley, 39, of Pana, died Sunday, September 23, 2001 at 10:06 p.m. in Pana Community Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1962 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Arthur R. "Art" and Helen Berner Kronshagen of Pana and came to Pana in 1964. She was a graduate of Pana High School.
She was employed at Heritage Manor in Pana.
Tina Langley is survived by her parents Art and Helen Kronshagen of Pana; her sons Jeremy Ryan Langley and Clayton Andrew Langley at home; and her brother Arthur R. Kronshagen, Jr. of Pana.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
As per Tina's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services.

Thomas Glen Boehm
Shelbyville
Thomas Glen Boehm, 41, of Shelbyville passed away at 1:25 a.m. Sunday, September 23, 2001.
Mr. Boehm was born May 29, 1960 the son of Glen and Janet Kelly Boehm.
He was employed by GSI in Assumption. He was a member of the Westervelt Christian Church and was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman.
He married Sandy Cutler. He later married Theresa Drone on June 30, 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; father and step mother Glen and Pauline Boehm; sons Brandon Boehm and wife Jessica of Findlay and Ryan Boehm of Shelbyville; step-daughters Candace Salmons, Nikcol Boehme, Michelle Boehme, and Wendy Boehme all of Lakewood; brothers David Boehm and wife Sandy of Oreana; Gerald Boehm and wife Teresa, Larry Boehm and wife Sally and Danny Boehm and wife Susan, all of Shelbyville; sisters: Carol Wharmby and husband David of Agoura Hills, CA; Mary Perry and husband Gary of Mattoon; Janet Musser and husband Mike of Westervelt and Lisa Ballinger and husband Roger of Shelbyville; Step-brothers Glen Johnson of Findlay and Stanley Johnson and wife Barbara of Shelbyville; step-sisters Donna Oldham and husband Mike of Findlay, Kathy Swarms of Shelbyville, and Virginia Defend and husband Dan of Monticello, IL; one grandson, Collin; one step-granddaugher, Tessa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Rev. Greg Robbins will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to the education fund for the grandchildren of Thomas G. Boehm.

Burl R. Evans
Cowden
Burl R. Evans, 80, of Cowden, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (September 22, 2001) in his residence.
He was born October 23, 1920 in Carson Township, Fayette County, IL, the son of Laban and Stella Huss Evans.
He was a retired farmer, truckdriver, and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Cowden, the Shelbyville Moose Lodge, and the Shelby County Farm Bureau.
He married Josie England June 2, 1944 in Fayette County, IL and she preceded him in death on August 17, 19 72. The then married Nell Jones Baskin, March 19, 1973 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and she preceded him in death June 4, 1990. He then married Miriam Herten, December 31, 1991 in Shelby County, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Miriam; son Bruce Evans of Lexington, KY; daughter Judy Miller of Warren, MI; step-daughters Christine Dunkle of Allen, TX and Linda Werner of Shelbyville; sister Evelina Ohnstad of Taylorville; five grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Cowden, with Rev. Barry Long officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Memorials may be made to the Red Cross Disaster Fund.
