Linda (Jensen) Back

May 10, 2004

HAMLET - Linda (Jensen) Back of Knox, 60, died Monday at Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox, following an illness.

She is survived by her husband Ronnie; two sons Thomas of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Jeff of North Judson; four sisters Nina Pomeroy of Florence, Ariz., Lola Miller and Ruth Palm, both of Grovertown, and Janis Smith of Plano, Texas; and seven brothers Paul, Richard, Fred and Rae, all of Hamlet, Pete of LaPorte, Earl of Lakeville, and Allen of Plymouth.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 4-8 p.m., and Thursday one hour prior to service at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Kevin Robert Rogers

May 1, 2004

GOSHEN - Kevin Robert Rogers, 48, of Miramar, Fla., formerly of Goshen, died Saturday at 6 p.m. of cancer in Pembroke Pines Memorial Hospital, Miramar.

He is survived by two daughters Jaime Rogers of Indianapolis and Monica Rogers of Goshen; his mother Barbara Rogers of Goshen; his sister Tina (Steve) Yoder of Goshen; and two brothers Brad Rogers of Goshen and Gregg (Val) Rogers of Union, Mich.

There will be no services.

Visitation will be May 15, 1-6 p.m., at his mother's home at 61622 C.R. 17, Goshen.

Burial will follow at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.

Melissa Christian

May 9, 2003

HAMLET - Melissa Christian, 24, died Sunday in her home. Her death is under investigation by the Pulaski County Coroner.

She is survived by two daughters Jayden Lindsay of Medaryville and Makyah Christian of Winamac; a son Joshua Dylan Lindsay of Medaryville; her mother and stepfather Belinda and John Schacht of Winamac; her father Larry Christian of Dallas, Texas; two sisters Nicki Christian of Knox and Amy Pitts of Monett, Mo.; and a brother David Christian of Valparaiso.

Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m., and Friday, two hours before services at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Angie (Haro) Marshall

May 16, 2004

HAMLET - Angie (Haro) Marshall, 83, of Columbus, formerly of Hamlet, died May 16, 2004 in Silver Oaks Health Campus, Columbus, following an illness.

She is survived by three stepdaughters Ann Cox, Patricia Adams and Louise Hale; three sons Alfonso Haro Jr. of Dothan, Ala., Michael Haro of Houston, Texas, and James Haro of Columbus; three stepsons Larry, Raymond and Hubert Marshall; and a brother Tony Mola of Crown Point.

Visitation will be Friday, 4-8 p.m., and Saturday, 9-9:45 a.m., at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Rosary service will be Friday at 7 p.m.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hamlet.

Elsie J. Cooper

May 22, 2004

BREMEN - Elsie J. Cooper, 85, of Bremen died on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 2:37 p.m. at Bremen Health Care Center.

Elsie was born on Feb. 9, 1919 in Des Moines, Iowa to Arthur and Mildred (Griffiths) White.

She married John J. Krick who preceded her in death. She married Robert Cooper who died in 1992.

Elsie lived in Bushnell, Fla. for 23 years before moving to Bremen in 1992. She worked for various businesses in the area, one of which was sewing for Bornemann Products in Bremen.

She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Bushnell.

She is survived by a son, Richard (Laura) Krick, of Goodrich, Mich.; daughters, Donna Devan and Joy (Patrick) Ameling, both of Bremen; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, a son, John Allen Krick in 1997, four brother and four sisters.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday, May 26 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Funeral services are Wednesday, May 26 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Morse officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Marshall County.

Clarissa R. Myers

May 23, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Clarissa R. Myers, 93, of W. Madison St., Plymouth, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004 at 1:05 a.m. at Plymouth Nursing and Rehab Center, Plymouth.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1911 in South Bend to Leander and Winifred (Zeitler) Madden. They moved to Plymouth when Clarissa was 10-years-old.

Clarissa was a member of the FIrst United Methodist Church of Plymouth. Clarissa worked for the ASCS Office in Plymouth. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1929 as the valedictorian.

She is survived by a son, Bruce of Plymouth; and one granddaughter, Julie Myers; and great-grandson, Ricky Hegedus; along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother Paul Madden and her three sisters Anna Norris, Mary Myers and Martha Madden.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Can Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth.

Services will be Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. E. Dean Fager officiating.

Burial will be at the New Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, 400 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Etta Mae Clark

May 21, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Etta Mae Clark, 61, a Plymouth resident for the past 36 years, died after a long bout with cancer, at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2004. Etta who made her home at 1051 Pennsylvania Ave., died in the Pilgrim Manor Care Facility.

Etta, who loved working in sales with all types of people, will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Born in Harrisburg, Ark., on Sept. 13, 1942, she was the daughter of Miles and Cor Delia Williams Robb. She attended Arkansas schools and graduated from Ancilla College in 1982, with a business degree.

On April 20, 1974, in Plymouth, Etta married John H. Clark.

A licensed real estate agent, her career spanned over a 20-year period. She worked with Realty World, McCollough Real Estate Service and most recently, Masterson & Associates. She was a member of the North Central Indiana Board of Realtors and the Indiana and National Association of Realtors.

Etta enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, hunting and fishing and was proud of her trophy buck.

A member of the Plymouth Women of the Moose No. 1355, she also was a member with her spouse, of the Steel Workers Organization of Active Retirees, Plymouth chapter.

Etta is survived by her husband, John, and their three daughters: Ramona D. and Bruce Cook, Plymouth; Rebecca J. and Arturo Belmontes, Bourbon; and Renee A. Clark, Plymouth. Three grandchildren also survive: Alicia Crisp, Aaron Cook and Tyler Cook.

Six sisters survive as well. They are: Dorothy Love, Polk City, Fla.; Patricia and Dale Kitts, Jone Miller and Elfreda Robb, all of Plymouth; Shirley Carpenter, Bremen; and Claudia and Johnny Mullins, Tippecanoe.

Two brothers also survive: Marshall Robb, Kentland, Ind. and Anthony Robb, Bunkerhill, Ind., together with numerous nieces and nephews.

Etta was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Melvin Robb.

Friends will be welcomed by the family at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, on Monday, May 24 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial ritual service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Etta's funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25 in the funeral home. The Rev. Roger Dixon will officiate.

Interment will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Friends are welcomed to join the family at a Condolence Dinner at the Moose Lodge, 1225 W. Jefferson St., Plymouth, following funeral services.

Memorial gifts in Etta's memory may be made to the Marshall County Hospice or the Cancer Association.

Grace K. Falconbury

May 21, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Grace K. Falconbury, 78, of 501 Pennsylvania Ave., died on Friday, May 21, 2004, at 7:15 p.m. She died of natural causes at Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. Grace had lived in the Plymouth area since she was 5-years-old.

Born in Plymouth on March 18, 1926, Grace was the daughter of Conley and Sarah E. Sullivan Everdon. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1945.

On Sept. 18, 1949, in Plymouth, she became the bride of Arthur S. Falconbury. Arthur died on Dec. 10, 1955.

For eight years Grace worked for Schlosser Brothers Creamery. She then worked as a popular sales clerk for Bosworth's Department Store for 31 years.

An avid reader, she enjoyed family events and working outside in her garden. She collected angels and had an extensive and lovely assortment.

Grace is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen "Kathy" G. and Dan Ambrose of Grovertown.

A brother, Joseph Everdon, Hermon, Mo., a sister-in-law, Beverly Falconbury of Plymouth, a special niece, Karen Everdon of South Bend and several other nieces and nephews survive as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Mary Lawmaster and a brother, Jack Everdon.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 25 from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Funeral services for Grace will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26 in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Memorial gifts in Grace's memory may be made to the Marshall County Cancer or Marshall County Heart Associations.

Cora F. Krueger

May 20, 2004

LAKEVILLE - Cora F. Krueger, 83, of S. Grand St., Lakeville, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004 in her home.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Hensley of Warsaw and Donna E. (Mark) Baldwin of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sons, Ronald (Marlene) Krueger of South Bend and Henry (Lynda) Krueger of Lakeville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine (Howard "Bud") Eastwood of Lakeville, Lenice Arnce of Davenport, Iowa, Vilara Bell of Golden City, Mo.; and two brothers, Clair Galloway of Des Moines, Iowa and Burton Galloway of Phoenix, Ariz.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today in Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend. Rev. Russ Graf, pastor of Community of Christ Church, South Bend, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.

Millard "Mike" W. Lemler

May 20, 2004

BOURBON - Millard "Mike" W. Lemler, 85, who was a resident of Bremen Health Care Facility and formerly of Bourbon died at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2004 in Bremen Health Care Facility.

He is survived by his sons, Richard L. (Marie) Lemler, Bourbon and Kenneth (Gerry) Lemler, Florence, S.C.; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Celia Montague of Bremen and Lois Garman of Warsaw.

Visitations will be Thursday, May 27 from 4-8 p.m. in the Deaton Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon and Friday one hour before services in the church.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 28 in The Country Church, north of Bourbon on SR 331.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Country Church in his memory.

William L. Geisleman

April 20, 2004

PLYMOUTH - William L. Geisleman, 42, of Plymouth died Tuesday at 6:36 p.m. in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

He is survived by his parents Virgil and Judy Geisleman of Plymouth; his sons William V. Geisleman of Plymouth and Dustin Huff of Fort Reily, Kansas; his sisters Crystal (Mike) Keller of Marshall, Mich., Lisa (Rodger) Green of Chickamauga, Ga., and Debra Geisleman of New Orleans, La.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, with Rev. Steven Resner officiating.

Burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
