Cletus "Clete" J. Yoder

Cletus "Clete" J. Yoder, 59, of Goshen, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Monday January 12, 2009. He was born on September 5, 1949 in Goshen, Indiana, the son of late Joseph J. and Ida (Lehman) Yoder. He was the youngest of seven siblings. On December 12, 1970 in Ft. Wayne, IN. he married Cheryl Linn Peck, she survives. He served as the Practice Administrator for Midwest Cardiology, Inc. in the nineteen nineties. He was an employee of Goshen Hospital and served for several years on the LaCasa Board in Goshen. He is survived by his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tillman King of Goshen, IN; daughter, Jeanette Yoder of Goshen, IN; grandchildren, Jackson and Andrew King of Goshen, IN; brother, Floyd (Anna) Yoder of Shipshewana, IN; brother, Pete (Shirley) Yoder of Sarasota, FL; brother, Owen (Peggy) Yoder of Munford, TN; brother, Daniel (Edna) Yoder of Middlebury, IN; sister, Nettie (Verlin) Miller of Middlebury, IN; sister, Sadie (Perry) Miller of Middlebury, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Thursday from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home in Middlebury, IN. Family and friends may gather on Friday January 16, 2009 at the Silverwood Mennonite Church, 1712 West Clinton St. Goshen, a funeral procession will leave the church at 9 AM for a graveside service at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. A memorial service will follow the burial beginning at 10:30 AM Friday at the Silverwood Mennonite Church. Services will be conducted by the Rev.'s Ron Guengerich, Janice Troyer and Aimee Wieshaupt. Memorial contributions in memory of Clete may be given to LaCasa of Goshen.

Frances (Krider) Vollom

Frances (Krider) Vollom, 88, of 1225 Greencroft Blvd. Goshen, IN. formerly of Middlebury died at 9:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Greencroft Health Care Center Goshen, IN. She was born January 21, 1920 in Middlebury, IN, to Vernon and Erma (Artley) Krider. In 1966 in Ely, MN she married Marv Vollom, he died on February 19, 1973. She helped run the family business, Krider Nursery in Middlebury for several years. She was a 1937 graduate of Middlebury High School. Survivors include 2 Sisters, Beatrice Krider of Goshen, IN., Violet Krider of Goshen, IN.; Step-Daughter, Dorothy Odland of Minneapolis, MN; Step-Son, Doug (Judith) Vollom of Ely, MN. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, 5 sisters and a brother. There will be no services at this time. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury, IN.

Katie Miller

Katie Miller, 82, of 13131 CR 28 Middlebury, IN died at 9:20 AM on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 13201 CR 28 Middlebury, IN, she had been in declining health the past 7 weeks. She was born October 21, 1926 in LaGrange County, IN, to the late Chris J.M. Miller and the late Abbie (Lehman) Miller. On March 14, 1946 in Shipshewana, IN She married Lloyd J. Miller he died August 31, 2008. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Old Order Amish Church. Survivors include 3 Daughters, Esther (Perry Jay) Miller of Middlebury, IN, Ruby (Clarence) Schrock of Middlebury, IN, Marilyn (Mose) Miller of Middlebury, IN; 2 Sons, LaVern (Barbara) Miller of Middlebury, IN, Marlin (Freida) Miller of New Paris, IN; 18 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren; 4 Sisters, Wilma Mast of Goshen, IN., Mary Ellen (David) Beachy of Goshen, IN., Esther (Emanuel) Miller of Halfway, MO, LeAnna (Marion) Kauffman of Middlebury, IN; 3 Brothers, John (Gladys) Miller of Goshen, IN., Obie (Joan) Miller of Bristol, IN., Chris Miller of Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by parents, step mother, Anna Brenneman, husband, a granddaughter, Verba Miller, a great granddaugher: Mari Esther Miller, sister, Ida Mast, 2 brothers, Elmer C. & Omer Miller. Visitation will be after 12 noon on Sunday and all day Monday at the LaVern Yoder Residence. 12921 CR 26 Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Calvin Mullet Residence, 13320 CR 28 Middlebury Services will be conducted by Bishop Marvin Kauffman, Home Ministers. Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen, IN.

Ryan Lee Krontz

Ryan Lee Krontz, 25, of 66043 Emma Lane Vandalia, MI died at 7:14 AM on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 his residence, his death was very unexpected. He was born March 29, 1983 in Sturgis, MI, to Mack and Lorrie (Longacre) Krontz. He had worked at Var Industries for 3 years. Ryan attended the Middlebury School systems and graduated from Northridge High School in 2001. He served in the US Marine Corps for four years and enjoyed working out at the gym and kayaking. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include Mother, Lorrie Krontz of Middlebury, IN; Fiancée, Betsy Collins of Vandalia, MI; Step-children, Zoey, Aden, Nolan & Hunter; 3 Sisters, Mandy & Brian Straight of Elkhart, IN, Chelsea & Dani, both of Middlebury, IN; 2 Brothers, Eric & Christie Krontz of New Orleans, LA; & Jesse; 2 Grandmothers, Sharon Longacre of Middlebury, IN and Marge Close of Broson, MI. He was preceded in death by a son Coban Krontz, his father Mack Krontz and his grandfather Jack Longacre. A memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at River Of Life Fellowship Church, Middlebury, IN. Services will be conducted by Rev. Gordon Henke. Memorials may be given to Ryan's Fiancée, Betsy Collins. These funds will be divided between the raising of his step children and making a donation to a child abuse prevention fund.

Barbara Mullet

Barbara Mullet, 81, of 410 West Middlebury Street Shipshewana, IN. died at on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at her residence in Sarasota, FL, her death was unexpected and due to natural causes. She was born August 8, 1927 in LaGrange County, IN., to Levi C. and Fannie (Beechy) Yoder. On October 31, 1946 in LaGrange County, IN. she married Alvin O. Mullet. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Survivors include her husband, Alvin O. Mullet and 3 Daughters, Loretta (Richard) Miller of Goshen, IN., Kay Ellen (Elmer) Kauffman of Shipshewana, IN., Martha Fern Mullet of Middlebury, IN; 2 Sons, Merle (Nora) Mullet of Middlebury, IN and Ernest (Katie) Mullet of Shipshewana, IN.; 10 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, 5 Step Grandchildren, a Step-Great Grandchild; 4 Sisters, Martha Troyer of Goshen, IN., Mary Gingerich of Goshen, IN., Irma Troyer of Shipshewana, IN., Edna Miller of Centreville, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, and 5 brothers: Alvin, Perry, Aaron, William and Levi Yoder. Funeral services will be held in Florida at 6 PM on Wednesday evening. Local visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Friday and 1 - 8 PM Saturday at the David Wingard Residence, 3715 North State Road 5, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the same residence. Services will be conducted by the Bishop Jerry Miller and the home ministers. Pallbearers for burial in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana will be her grandson; Gerald Mullet, Gordon Mullet, Brian Mullet, Stanley Kauffman, Tim Kauffman, Shane Mishler, Larry Herschberger, Jonathan Yoder and Craig Colgin.

Lloyd E. Miller

Lloyd E. Miller, 70, of 402 Crystal Valley Dr. Apt. # 12 Middlebury, IN died at 11:03 AM on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Maples at Waterford Crossing Goshen, IN, where he had stayed since Saturday December 27, 2008. He was born May 29, 1938 in Middlebury, IN., to Tobe K. and Elizabeth (Yoder) Miller. He lived in Sarasota, FL. For 31 years returning to this area in 2004. He worked for 43 years in construction as a trim man. He was a 30 member of the Masons and was a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, he was an US Army veteran serving in the 82 Airborne Division. He loved to read his Bible and work on Sudoku puzzles and was an avid bowler and enjoyed making stone jewelry. Survivors include Daughter, Kathleen Bowlby of Middlebury, IN; Son, Steve L. Miller of Goshen, IN.; 6 Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Loretta (Lloyd) Troyer of Middlebury, IN, Mary Ellen Miller of White Pigeon, MI; 2 Brothers, Ernie Miller of Goshen, IN., Danny & Denise Miller of Cassiville, WI. He was preceded in death by Parents. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 PM on Thursday, January 8 at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends may gather at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury on Friday January 9th at 10:00 AM for burial of the cremains. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Donald Chesher. Memorials may be given to the Riley's Children’s Hospital.

Noah A. Schrock

Noah A. Schrock, 72, of 312 Mill Street PO Box 442 Middlebury, IN died at 11:55 AM on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Elkhart Hospice House, Elkhart, IN, where he had stayed since Sunday December 28th, 2008. He had been in declining health the past 5 years. He was born March 21, 1936 in Fair Banks, IA., to Amos and Elizabeth (Miller) Schrock. On August 26, 1956 in Goshen, IN he married Florence Schmucker. He was a Co Owner/Operator of the Middlebury Service Station with his wife and was the Middlebury Fire Chief for 13 years and served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for Elkhart County from 1967 - 2002. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Award upon his retirement from the Elkhart County Sheriffs Department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Middlebury, and was a beekeeper. He was a member of the 8 Loones (a fishing group including: Denny Cripe & Rod Cripe, K. Marion Miller & Randy Miller, Chuck Teall & Rick Teall, Noah Schrock & Chris Gorney). Survivors include his wife, Florence Schrock and 2 Daughters, Pamela (Chris) Gortney of Syracuse, IN, Sheila (Ron) Getz of LaGrange, IN; Son, Steve (Beth) Schrock of German Town, WI; 4 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson; 3 Sisters, Mabel (Glen) Graber of Millersburg, IN., Loretta (Ivan) Wagler of Irwin, OH, Star Schrock of (address Unknown); 6 Brothers, Clemens (Monita) Schrock of Winter Haven, FL, Freeman Schrock of South Bend, IN, Amos (Nancy) Schrock of Millersburg, IN., Leroy Schrock of Jimtown, IN, Raymond (Leah) Schrock of Goshen, IN., Orva & Jenny Schrock of Goshen, IN. He was preceded in death by Parents. Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM on Saturday and 1 - 7 PM Sunday at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 5, 2009 at First United Methodist Church, , Middlebury, IN. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Linda Craig. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury, IN. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church, Middlebury or the Elkhart Hospice House of the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care of Elkhart County.
