David Edward White, age 72 years of W. Harrison, IN passed away Sunday, February 15, 2004 in Cincinnati, OH.

He was born April 1, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH; the son of Edward Thomas & Avanelle (Ramsey) White. He married Dorothy Kremer on February 12, 1955 in Harrison, OH and she survives.

He is also survived by his children Karen (Daniel) Bertelson of Midland, Tx; Denise M. White of Cincinnati, OH; Diana M. (Tim) Welch of New Albany, IN and Brian (Lisa) White of S. Dayton, KY; 14 grandchildren; brothers Richard White of Rising Sun, IN and Daniel White of Cincinnati, OH and sister Lynn Hack of Colorado.

Mr. White was an Allstate agent in Cincinnati owning his own agency on Glenway Ave. He was an Army Corporal during WWII, member of St. John the Baptist and American Legion Post 199.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 19, 2004 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist with Father Bill Dorrmann officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 4-8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Burial will be in St. Joseph New Cemetery. Memorial gifts are suggested to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN or masses.

Ruth Stirn

Ruth Stirn, age 86 of Batesville, died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at Margaret Mary Hospital. born on December 28, 1917 in Peppertown, Indiana to Louis & Anna (Stirn) Stirn. She retired from the Hill-Rom Co. and was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ. Ms. Stirn is survived by sisters, Helen Stirn of Batesville, Katheryn Mann of Phoenix, AZ, and Eileen Galinger of Cincinnati, OH. She also has 6 nephews, 1 niece and several great and great great nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Meyers Funeral Home, Sunday 12noon to 2pm. Services will be Sunday at 2:30pm at St. John United Church of Christ, with Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Church Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Carl Hall, Sr.

Carl “Papaw” Hall, Sr., has passed away after a courageously fighting an extended illness on December 22, 2003. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Betty L. (McNeil) Hall, his loving children, Keith (Julie) Hall of St. Leon, IN; Vicki (Steve) Hamilton of Corbin, KY; Rebecca (William) Glidewell of Brookville, IN; Jeannie (David) Bays of Brookville, IN; Carl Jr. (Michelle) Hall of New Trenton, IN; Beulah Mae (Kevin) Cable of Cleves, OH & Dessie (James) Tirey of Brookville, IN; 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sisters Polly Jane Bowels of W. Harrison, IN and Beulah Caudill of Bright, IN. Several nieces and nephews extending to the fourth generation. Preceded in death by his first wife Betty F. (Watson) Hall, his parents Rhodes Sr. and Easter (Turner) Hall and 14 siblings. He was a member of West Harrison Pentecostal Tabernacle, Lifetime member of State Line Coon Hunters Assoc., member of United Kennel Club, Indiana Hunting Dog Assoc., BBOA & BBCHA. Visitation will be Fri. Dec. 26, 2003 from 4-8 PM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. Services will be Sat. Dec. 27, 2003 at 10:00 AM at West Harrison Pentecostal Tabernacle with Rev. Hobert Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Brookville, IN. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Joseph Earl Campbell

Joseph Earl Campbell, age 83 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Friday, April 15, 2005 in W. Harrison, IN.

born Feb. 2, 1922 in Dearborn County, IN he was the son of Joseph & Nancy (Wells) Campbell. He worked as a carpenter and was a US Navy Veteran during WWII. Mr. Campbell married Dorothy Feller on July 4, 1947 in St. Leon, IN.

Mr. Feller is survived by his wife Dorothy Campbell, sons Ronald Campbell of Crescent Spring, KY & William (Debby) Campbell of W. Harrison, IN and daughter Diane (Randy) French of W. Harrison, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Ronald Getz, Michae, Jason, Marc, Austin, Alicia, Amanda & Crystal Campbell, Ryan & Tricia French and great grandchildren Jessica & Kevin Getz, Coby & Owen Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Elbert and Henry Campbell, Mae Mosmeier, Maude Campbell and Margie Enochs.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2005 from 10-1pm followed by services at 1:00 PM all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Rev. Dr. Harold Shackelford officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Dearborn Co. Hospice, American Cancer Society or Harrison Life Squad.

Rosella Adams (nee: Benge), age 87 of Dunnellon, FL formerly of Batesville, IN passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Brentwood Health Center in LeCanto, FL.

born January 6, 1918 in Letcher Co., KY, she was the daughter of Benjamin & Dora (Collins) Benge. She married Oceanus Adams on Oct. 9, 1936 in Letcher Co., KY. She retired from Hill-Rom.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughters Janice Jean Knight of Lynchburg, OH and Polly Ann Folton of Dunnellon, FL; 13 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren; brother Joe Benge of Charlestown, IN and sister Patricia Morgan of Charlestown, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Roger Adams, 2 infant children and brothers Jack & Roy Benge.

Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2005 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Fehrman officiating. Burial will be in St. John Church Cemetery Huntersville. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.

Clora Taylor (nee: Hall) age 55 of New Trenton, IN passed away Saturday, April 16, 2005 in Harrison, OH.

born August 14, 1949 in Ft. Thomas, KY she was the daughter of Harvey & Rosie (Shouse) Hall. Mrs. Taylor was a 1967 graduate of Harrison High School, a registered nurse for 20 years and attended the West Harrison Pentecostal Tabernacle.

She is survived by her daughters Anna Boone of New Trenton, IN; Melissa (Malcolm) Polk of Pearl River, LA; sons David William Hickman of Florence, KY and Harold Dean Taylor of New Trenton, IN. She will also be missed by her 15 grandchildren; sisters Depsie Cox, Lola Kersey, Wanda Gambrel, Janie Dole, Kathy Carlisle, Judy Hall and Margaret Denny and her brothers Gary Hall, Joe Hall & Larry Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Taylor, sisters Emma Irene Allen & Eva Miller and brother Harvey Hall, JR.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2005 from 9am-10am followed by services at 10am all at the West Harrison Pentecostal Tabernacle in W. Harrison, IN with Rev. Hobert Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia, KY. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Allyn Leah Harvey, age 53, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at her home.

She was born on April 21, 1950 to Duane & Charlene (Cook) Clippert in Davenport, Iowa.

On August, 10, 1968 she married John Harvey. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Oldenburg and worked as the Medical Staff Coordinator at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.

She is survived by Special Friend, Kenneth Davidson; Daughter, Tracy Dwenger; Son, Christopher Harvey; Grandchildren, Kayla, Christopher, Lyndsey, Lauren, Claire, Jordan & Sarah; Sisters, Karen Cawley, Dana Clippert, Terry Stockwell, Christie Clippert, Charlene Williams, & Amy Bernard; Brothers, David, Steve & Jeff Clippert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in March 1993.

Visitation is Saturday, 1-3pm at Meyers Funeral Home, immediately followed by funeral services at 3pm. Cremation will follow service. Father John Turnbull, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the J. Michael Hansen Oncology Center.

Luther Monsees Lindemann, age 88 years of Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, IN.

born October 29, 1916 in Smithton, MO he was the son of the late Claus & Lydia (Monsees) Lindemann. He was the former owner of Lindemann Co. in Batesville, a US Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII; former Batesville City Councilman and member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Batesville, American Legion and VFW both Batesville, Forth ET Eight and Batesville Lodge 668 F&AM.; He was married to Rita (Bauman) Lindemann then later married Juanita “Neetz” (Wonning).

Mr. Lindemann is survived by his daughter Kristy Salatin of Sunman, IN; sons Eric Lindemann and Greg Lindemann both of Batesville, IN and Jon Lindemann of Little Rock, AR; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2005 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Services will be Wednesday, August 17, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Batesville with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark Lutheran Church Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites. Memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the American Heart Assoc.

Margaret Sarah Wilson

Margaret Sarah Wilson, age 90 of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, April 8, 2005 in Columbus, IN.

born April 4, 1915 in Napoleon, IN she was the daughter of William & Margaret (Reckeweg) Abplanalp. She married Everett Wilson in Napoleon on August. 8, 1935. He preceded her in death on Nov. 2, 1990. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband with State Farm Insurance. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads, member of the church ladies aid and in the early days, the mothers club at the Batesville School.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter Dorothy Jean Anderson of Batesville, IN; sons Daniel (Sarah Jane) Wilson of Greensburg, IN & Stephen (Beverly) Wilson of Osgood, IN; grandchildren Linda Koon, Beth Miller, Beverly Wilson, Bonnie Weisenbach, Rebecca Bohman, Jennifer Wilson, Benjamin Wilson and William Wilson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings Esther Gunter, Grace Abplanalp, Edna Harm, Alice Wilson, Stella Abplanalp, Sylvia Frakes, Mabel Einhaus, Jacob Porter Abplanalp, Clarence Abplanalp & Elmer “Dutch” Abplanalp.

Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2005 from 5-8 PM at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2005; 1:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads with Pastors Robin Owen and David Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Church or Decatur County Hospice c/o the funeral home.

James Russell Clark

James Russell Clark, age 84 of New Trenton, IN passed away Friday, April 8, 2005 in Brookville, IN.

born Sept. 28, 1920 in Cleves, OH he was the son of James & Mabel (McClanahan) Clark. He was a US Army Veteran during WWII and member of the American Legion Post 199. He retired in Dec. 1980 from the Campbell Hausfeld Molding Dept. On Dec. 9, 1939 he married Betty Lou Maples in Lawrenceburg, IN.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife Betty Lou Clark; daughters Phyllis (Late Tom) Lane of Lawrenceburg, IN and Barbara (Robert) Rock of Batesville, IN; sons James R. (Gerri) Clark of New Trenton, IN, David K. (Sharon) Clark of St. Cloud, FL & Stephen R. (Margaret) Clark of New Trenton, IN; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren; sisters Nettie Bryant of Oklahoma & Catherine Goins of W. Harrison, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter, brothers John & Robert Clark and 2 infant brothers; sisters Etta Mae Werner, Dorothy Huneycut, Ella Selke & Edna Martin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from 5-8pm (fast time) at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Rev. Shawn Crisman officiating. Funeral Services will be Wed. Apr. 13, 2005; 11:00 AM (fast time) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to the New Trenton Volunteer Fire Dept.
