Celina GLADYS DAVIS, 92, of Urbana, formerly of Celina, died Wednesday at her daughter's home in Urbana. Born in Maywood, Ill., she was a homemaker. Her husband, Ervin S., died in 1975. Surviving are a son, Stan of St. Marys; two daughters, Carol Detrick of Urbana and Judy Davis of Celina; two sisters, Edythe Brooks of Santa Clara, Calif., and Eleanore Finkbeiner of LaGrange, Ill.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, Sharon Shumaker of Springfield. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jacquelyn Joyce Davis. Services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina. Calling from 4 to 7 p.m. today. Burial in State Line Cemetery, Mercer County. Memorials to Mercy Hospice, Urbana.

COL. FRANCIS "GABBY" GABRESKI, 83, who for many years was known as "America's Greatest Living Ace," died Thursday at his home in Dix Hills, on Long Island. Mr. Gabreski, who recorded 37 1/2 kills as a fighter pilot in both World War II and the Korean War, joined the Army Air Corps in 1941. He was credited with a record 31 downings of enemy planes in World War II. He added 6 1/2 more kills, sharing credit for one, during the Korean War, his daughter said. Mr. Gabreski was shot down over Europe and spent the last eight months of the war in a German prisoner of war camp. After the war, he spent several years in flight testing and in command of fighter units before being assigned as commander of the 51st Fighter Wing. Mr. Gabreski wrote about his military career in his autobiography, "Gabby, A Fighter Pilot's Life."

Marion Elmeda Miller, 93, of Jeffersonville, died March 5, 2001. Private graveside services will be held at Abundant Life Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1 PM at Celebration Tabernacle, 632 Eastern Blvd., Clarksville, Indiana. Expressions of sympathy to Celebration Ministries Television Outreach.

William Alvey Emmerke, 99, of Clarksville, died March 5, 2001. Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 PM, and after 9 AM Thursday. The funeral will be at 1 PM Thursday, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Utica.

Thurman C. Potter, 75, of Clarksville, died March 5, 2001. Visiting will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM, and after 9 AM Tuesday. The funeral will be at 1 PM Wednesday, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Anna Louise "Brasher" Keal, 87, of Bradenton, Florida, died February 22, 2001. Visiting will be held on Sunday from 4-8 PM, and after 9 AM Monday. The funeral will be at 11 AM Monday, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Stoy Marcum, 73, of New Albany, died February 22, 2001. Visiting will be held on Friday from 1-8 PM, and after 9 AM Saturday. The funeral will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Robert Ermil Nix, 71, of Jeffersonville, died February 21, 2001. Visiting will be on Sunday from 1 to 8 PM at Scott Funeral Home. Visiting will also be held on Monday from 11-2 at Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home in Lynnville, IN. The funeral will be there at 2 PM with burial in Lynnville Cemetery.

Helen Nachand Bennett , 69, formerly of Jeffersonville, now of Metairie, Louisiana, died February 15, 2001. Visiting will be on Monday from 2 to 8 PM at Scott Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 10:30 AM with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

Harry Keller, 85, of Jeffersonville, died February 13, 2001. Visiting will be on Thursday from 11 to 8, and Friday from 9 - 1:30 at Scott Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Friday at 1:30 PM with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.

Gloria Faye Wilson, 52, of Clarksville, died February 12, 2001. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM, and Thursday after 9 AM at Scott Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Thursday at 1 PM with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

Margaret Louise Allen, 78, of Jeffersonville, died February 12, 2001. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM at Scott Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Thursday at 10 AM with burial in Eastern Cemetery.

John Monihon, 72, of Jeffersonville, died February 11, 2001. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 1 to 8 PM at Scott Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 2 PM with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
