Tammy Jo Petersen and Lance Reed Ficken were married Oct. 29, 2005 at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert. The Rev. Kris A. Bjerke-Ulliman officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Robert and Connie Petersen of Albert and John and Deanne Ficken of Bison. Grandparents of the couple are Paul and Teresa Dolochek of Hoisington, Wayne Ficken of LaCrosse and Lee and Ruby Shank of LaCrosse. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Leslie Sweasy of Newton, cousin of the groom, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Debbie McConnell of Hutchinson and Maggie Ziglar of Olpe, cousin of the bride. Kirk Ficken of Hays, brother of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Chris Sohm of Satana and Eric Juno of Otis. Special music was provided by Vernie Bowyer, organist, and Jason Haberman, vocalist. Ushers were Tyler Kirk of Coldwater, LoRay George of Albert, Lance Ohnmacht of Nickerson and Shane DeWald of Olathe. Tapelighters were Kendra Alderdice of Wichita and Janessa Swalley of Great Bend. The bride is a 1993 graduate of Otis-Bison High School and is a registered pharmacy technician at Hays Medical Center in Hays. The groom is a 1996 graduate of Otis-Bison High School. He is employed by Sunflower Pest Control in Otis and is also a cattleman at Ficken Angus in Bison. The couple makes their home in Bison.
