Schwartz - 50th

Rheinard and Joan Schwartz will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. and a dance at 8 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 110 W. Second St., at Ellinwood on Aug. 2, 2003. Schwartz and the former Joan Henning were married on Aug. 4, 1953, at Willowdale. They resided at Ellinwood for over 35 years before moving to the Chase area after his retirement from the City of Ellinwood. Host for the occasion are their children and their spouses, grand children and great grandchildren of the couple. Honorary hosts for the occasion are Florinda Standlee of Chase, Anita Christiansen, Rod Schwartz, Curtis Schwartz and Renee Kasselman, all of Ellinwood, Shirley Schwartz of Seward and Janice Simmons of Newkirk, Okla. Knox - 50th

Ramon and Evelene Knox of Great Bend celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a private family dinner held July 4, 2003. Knox and the former Evelene Horyna were married on Aug. 2, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Great Bend. He was employed by Murphy Tractor as a John Deere Industry dealer. She was a caregiver and homemaker. The couple have two children. They are Brian and Narcisa Knox of Guam and Wesley Knox of Heizer. Pivonka - 50th

Bob and Geneva Pivonka of Larned will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They will celebrate with a come-and-go reception from 2-4 p.m. on July 26, 2003 at First United Methodist Church, 701 Main, of Larned. Pivonka and the former Geneva J. Phillips were married July 31, 1953, at Reno, Nev. Hosts for the occasion will be their children, John Pivonka of Manassas, Va., Mike and Jill Yeager of Larned and Gene and Laurie Spencer of Gore, Okla.
