Emery R. Kittle
Emery R. Kittle, 91, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 17, 2000, at Hospice Residential Care Center, Hutchinson.
He was born April 22, 1908, in Rush County, the son of Wiley W. and Nannie Knotts Kittle. He graduated from Abbyville High School in 1928. A Nickerson resident for most of his life, he was a retired farmer and stockman.
He belonged to Fairview United Methodist Church, rural Nickerson.
On May 19, 1930, he married Florence E. "Flo" Cook at Jetmore. She died Jan. 25, 1997.
Survivors include: a daughter, Blanche Pearce, Wichita; two brothers, Wesley and Archie, both of Hutchinson; a sister, Julia Ehling, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Frank and Glenn; and two sisters, Emma King and Susie Wallace.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Dr. Armour H. Evans and the Rev. Ed Furman presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, all at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Fairview United Methodist Church or the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Towers, both in care of the mortuary.

Dorris A. Brewer
Dorris A. Brewer, 96, of Hutchinson, died March 27, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1903, at Lehigh, the daughter of Gus and Hannah Geis Meschke. A resident of Hutchinson, she worked as a secretary for the Wichita Law Office, was membership secretary for former Wichita Art Association, secretary for Sedgwick County Cancer Society, and worked at Meschke's Men's Clothing, Hutchinson.
She belonged to First Congregational Church, Hutchinson.
Survivors include: a daughter, Johannah Becker, Hutchinson; two brothers, Robert G. Meschke, Hutchinson, and Tom Meschke, Garden City; three sisters, Orlean Duane, Hutchinson, Joanne Snyder, Edmond, Okla., and Maureen Duvall, Walnut Creek, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Addison, Herbert and Marvin Gus Meschke; and a sister, Clara Bauerle.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Richard D. Liles presiding. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be sent to First Congregational Church in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Marion Artes
Marion Artes, 102, of Hutchinson, died March 28, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Feb. 26, 1898, at Brookside, Ala., the son of Joe A. and Ida Spradling Artes. A resident of Hutchinson, recently of Golden Plains Skilled Nursing Center, he was formerly of McPherson and was a retired carman and car inspector with Union Pacific Railroad.
He belonged to the Hutchinson American Legion and was post commander of the American Legion in Junction City during World War II. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I.
On June 9, 1951, he married Waneta Witbeck at Junction City. She died April 25, 1998.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jan Hartung, Hutchinson, and Barbara Shehee, Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Lucille Pemberton, Dallas; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson & Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson, with family receiving friends from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice Home Health Care or Big Sisters of Reno County, both in care of the funeral home.

Sheila Manuela Crenshaw Walden
Sheila Manuela Crenshaw Walden, 28, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 12, 2000, in Coconino County, Ariz.
She was born July 5, 1971, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Jackie D. Crenshaw Sr. and Guadalupe Sanchez Palmatier. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and was a lifelong Hutchinson resident. She was a certified nurse's aide at Prairie Sunset Manor, Pretty Prairie, and worked at Pantry Plus in South Hutchinson and WalMart in Hutchinson.
Survivors include: her father; her mother and stepfather, Guadalupe and Frank Palmatier; a son, Holden Shawn Walden; a daughter, Amy Marie Walden; three brothers, Jason Welles Crenshaw and Jackie D. Crenshaw Jr., and Sam Palmatier; four sisters, Laura Crenshaw, Amerie Crenshaw, Jessica Doerfler, and Amanda Craigg, all of Hutchinson; grandparents, Ernestine F. Sanchez, Pablo D. Sr. and Teresa Sanchez, and Elsie Z. and Brice E. Evans, all of Hutchinson; four nephews; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Johnson & Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. W.J. Green presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Eastside cemetery, Hutchinson.

Laura King-Musser
Laura King-Musser, 85, of Hutchinson, died March 27, 2000, at her home.
She was born Nov. 18, 1914, at Partridge, the daughter of Frank and Alice Dellenbach King. A Hutchinson resident since 1988, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include: a daughter, Euima Henthorn, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
There are no services planned, as the body was cremated.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Donald L. Graham
Donald L. Graham, 73, of Hutchinson, died June 17, 2000, at Golden Plains Health Care Center, Hutchinson.
He was born Dec. 6, 1926, at Carter, Okla., the son of Hardy K. and Zona Hyder Graham. He was a graduate of Retrop, Okla., High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, moving from Carter, he was employed as a lead man at Cargill Salt Co., Hutchinson, retiring in 1992.
He belonged to First Baptist Church and Union Chemical Workers Local No. 188, both at Hutchinson.
On April 14, 1949, he married Dorothy Bell at Wheeler, Texas. She survives.
Other survivors include: four sons, Larry, Hutchinson, Danny and Scott, both of Sand Springs, Okla., and Jerry, Ringgold, Va.; a daughter, Deanna Graham Harbold, Mesa, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren, Kristen Harbold, Graham Raymond Harbold, Lee Graham, Mari Graham, Michael Graham, Tonya Graham, Angela Graham, Tamara Graham, Christina Graham, Matthew Graham, Dane Graham, Luke Graham, Jennifer Graham, Jeremy Graham and Dustin Graham; two great-grandchildren, Garrett Harbold and Destanie Garrett; and a foster son, Jesse Reed, Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Elmo Graham, Gerald Graham and H.K. Jr. Graham.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Chris Boaz presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, both at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, or Hospice of Reno County, both in care of the mortuary.

Deacon M. C. Mayberry Sr.
Deacon M. C. Mayberry Sr., 81, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 29, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Jan. 31, 1919, at Cranfield, Miss., the son of Harris and Ollie Harris Mayberry. A Hutchinson resident since 1988, formerly of Natchez, Miss., he was a farmer.
He was a former member of St. Peter Rock Baptist Church, Leesdale, Miss., where he was Sunday school superintendent, teacher, treasurer, choir member, and deacon. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and served with the U.S. Army during World War II, earning four medals.
On July 20, 1946, he married Murlee Scott at Natchez, Miss. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, M.C. Mayberry Jr. and Edward Mayberry, both of Hutchinson, and George Mayberry, Pasadena, Calif.; two daughters, Martha Hill, Hutchinson, and Jewel Williams, Pasadena; three sisters, Alberta Byrd and Catherine Cain, both of Natchez, and Rosa Lee Fowler, Gonzales, La.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Mayberry; and a sister, Minnie Easter.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Pastors W. J. Green, Mike Leichner, and Quintin Moore presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.

Lloyd S. Fuller
Lloyd S. Fuller, 83, of Hutchinson, died May 29, 2000, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
He was born Sept. 4, 1916, at Hutchinson, the son of George M. and Elsie Mae Rice Fuller, and was raised by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rice. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a projectionist at the Fox Theater for 30 years and a former manager of the Fox, retiring in 1980. He worked at local theaters for 48 years and at the Sports Arena and Convention Hall. He also worked on location for several movies filmed in Kansas, including the movie "Picnic."
He was a life member of American Legion Lysle Rishel Post No. 68, was a Gold Card member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and Moving Picture Operators of the United States and Canada, and AFL-CIO Local 368, where he was past president and secretary-treasurer. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II.
On Sept. 4, 1939, he married Edith E. Sutton at Hutchinson. She died Oct. 6, 1993.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Sue Barkman, Wichita, and Dee Layne Bisbee, Albuquerque, now residing in Stuttgart, Germany; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mildred Scoles.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Roger Beason presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Military graveside services conducted by a funeral detail from Fort Riley will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of the mortuary.

Jarrin Michael Kaiser
Jarrin Michael Kaiser, 18, of Hutchinson, died May 25, 2000, in rural Reno County as the result of injuries sustained in a car/train accident.
He was born May 17, 1982, at Hutchinson, the son of Johnnie M. and Nancy L. Foster Kaiser. He attended Buhler High School. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he worked at the Ramada Inn, Hutchinson.
He belonged to Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, and the Kansas Youth Choir.
Survivors include: parents, of the home; a brother, Todd, Windom; three sisters, Angie Winter, Wichita, Amanda Kaiser, Hutchinson, and Mary Kaiser, of the home; grandparents, J.R. Foster, Sun Rise Beach, Texas, and Bertha Kaiser and Jean Foster, both of Hutchinson; fiancee, Sheila Bolton, Stafford; a nephew; a niece; and several uncles and aunts.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, John Kaiser.
Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with Father Brian Egan presiding. Friends may sign the register book from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 5 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Birthright, in care of the mortuary.
