Vivian H. Armour
Vivian H. Armour, 91, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 19, 2000, at her home.
She was born Feb. 12, 1909, at Burrton, the daughter of Melvin L. and Bessie Barnes Howell. She graduated from Burrton High School and Salt City Business College, Hutchinson. A longtime Hutchinson and Burrton-area resident, formerly of Little Rock, Ark., and Dallas, Texas, she was a retired office manager and secretary at the former Wiley's Department Store and Star Clothiers, both at Hutchinson.
She attended First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas, and was a member and past Worthy Matron of Silver Leaf Chapter No. 464 Order of Eastern Star, Hutchinson.
On Feb. 13, 1932, she married Carlton M. Armour at Hutchinson. He died Dec. 4, 1984.
Survivors include: a brother, Melvin Howell, Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister, Veva Navrat, Marion; and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Burrton cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund, in care of the mortuary.

The Rev. G. Weise
The Rev. G. Weise, 88, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 20, 2000, at Silver Oak Health Care Center, Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 26, 1911, at Eikton, Minn., the son of Ernest Gerhard and Magdalene Ivee Lessiger Weise. He graduated from Lutheran College and Seminary, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1941 and was ordained in 1941. A Hutchinson resident for 20 years, moving from Hoisington, he was a retired pastor.
On Jan. 15, 1942, he married Ellen W. Shoquist at Saskatoon. She died Nov. 21, 1999.
Survivors include: five daughters, Mary Ellen Sanders, Bakersfield, Calif., Barbara Hofferber, Des Moines, Iowa, Carol Robison, Hutchinson, Cathy LaPrade, Orange Park, Fla., and Melba Tipton, Mexico Beach, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerry; a daughter, Victoria; four brothers, Johannes, Martin, Theodore and Erich; and three sisters, Clara, Gertrude and Ella.
Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, in care of the mortuary.

Robert E. Mann Sr.
Robert E. Mann Sr., 90, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 15, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Sept. 12, 1909, at Hutchinson, the son of Arthur R. and Ida Smith Mann. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1928 and the University of Kansas in 1932. A lifelong Hutchinson resident, he was the former owner of Mann and Co. Architects and Engineers, Hutchinson.
He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson Rotary Club, a board member of Eastside cemetery, and past president of the Kansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
On Feb. 19, 1938, he married Shirley Jones at Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Robert E. Jr., Boulder, Colo.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Calvert.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson.

Marceline A. 'Marcy' Klein-Weeks
Marceline A. "Marcy" Klein-Weeks, 73, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 14, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Dec. 11, 1926, at Yoder, the daughter of Harold and Ruby Shuff Klein. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1944, Hutchinson Community College, and Kansas State University in 1948. She was the former secretary for the Hutchinson Law Enforcement Center and managed her farm land.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, Chapter D. PEO and Kappa Delta Sorority at Kansas State University, and was a docent at the Kansas Cosmosphere & Space Center.
On June 7, 1992, she married Francis C. "Bud" Weeks at Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Winter, Wichita; a stepson, Alan Weeks, Hutchinson; three step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, with Father Mike Milliken and the Rev. John Schroeppel presiding. There will be a register book to sign at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the church or the American Heart Association, both in care of the mortuary.

Robert G. 'Bob' Cameron
Robert G. "Bob" Cameron, 86, of Hutchinson, died Sept. 9, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born July 13, 1914, at Denver, the son of John F. and Lota Todd Cameron. He attended Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo. A Hutchinson resident since 1946, moving from Iola, he served as Reno County soil conservationist from 1946 to 1977.
He was active in Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, had served on the board of St. Francis Academy in Salina, and received the Episcopal Church Diocese's highest honor for service. He was a member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, the Soil Conservation Society of America, and was a 55-year member with York Rite Freemasonry of Kansas - Esdraelon Commandery No. 49, Iola.
Hutchinson Junior College named Cameron Hall in his honor for his help in developing its south campus and agricultural program.
On Sept. 3, 1939, he married Reba C. Miller at Manhattan. She died May 29, 1998.
Survivors include: son John and wife, Jolene, of Salina; daughter L. Clare Cox and husband, Dennis Cox, of Maple Grove, Minn.; grandchildren Michael Cameron and wife, Kristi, of Wylie, Texas; Christopher Todd and wife, Tiffany, of Maple Lake, Minn.; Cynthia Cox of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Kathy O'Malley and husband, John. and great-grandson Tyler Michael Cameron-Troute of Manhattan; nieces Rita Parker and husband, Ramon, of Iuka; Karen Hunt of Mesquite, Texas; and nephew Monte Miller and wife, Sally, of Houston.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today at Grace Episcopal Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Michael P. Milikin presiding. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Friends are invited to share "Bob" stories during the service, and all guests are invited to a celebratory buffet supper in the church.
Memorials may be sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, designated for The Bob Cameron Nursing Education Fund at Hester Care Center, Wesley Towers, or for Grace Church.

Agnes V. Moulds
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Agnes V. Moulds, 96, died March 26, 2000, at Mennonite Friendship Manor, South Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 10, 1903, at Hoisington, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Hanson Anderson. A Hutchinson resident since 1950, moving from Minneola, also formerly of Bloom, she was employed in the kitchen of the former Grace Hospital.
She belonged to Minneola Church of Christ and to Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ, Hutchinson.
On Sept. 11, 1921, she married Charles Wendell Moulds at Mound Valley. He died on May 7, 1943.
Survivors include: three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn; a daughter, Ruby Irene; three brothers; and six sisters.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Minneola cemetery, with the Rev. Kip Ryherd presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Mennonite Friendship Manor, in care of the mortuary.

Elizabeth A. Ontjes
HUTCHINSON - Elizabeth A. Ontjes, 88, died June 21, 2000, at Thorne Care Center, Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Eloise M. Rayl-Childs
HUTCHINSON - Eloise M. Rayl-Childs, 85, died May 24, 2000, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.
She was born January 1, 1915 in Chanute, the daughter of Arthur L. and Florence M. Ross Hill She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1934. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, the Jefferson-Janes Extension Homemakers Unit, and had served on the Hutchinson High School Alumni Association Board of Directors.
On June 6, 1935, she married Walter G. Rayl at Hutchinson. He died March 1, 1974. On Jan. 20, 1985, she married Robert C. "Bob" Childs at Bella Vista, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Carol Haines, Kansas City, Mo.; and Connie Ratzlaff, Westminster, Calif.; a stepson, Robert C. Childs III, Seattle, Wash.; stepdaughter, Marilee Voetmann, Seattle, Wa.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: four brothers, Chester R., Harold "Pop, " William H. and Melvin Hill.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin and Dr. D. Allen Polen Jr. presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, all at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Good Samaritan Center or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.

Marvin Dale Sheffler
HUTCHINSON - Marvin Dale Sheffler, 60, died May 24, 2000, at Lindsborg Community Hospital.
He was born December 27, 1939, at Halstead, the son of Carl and Pearl Stahlhever Sheffler. He graduated from Halstead High School in 1957. A Hutchinson resident since 1961, moving from Halstead, he was a serviceman for National Cash Register and a retired maintenance man for Jackson's Ice Cream.
He belonged to the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 982.
On Aug. 27, 1960, he married Clarice W. Cox. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Bill C., Hutchinson, and Eric D., Pittsburg; two brothers, Carl Jr., Halstead, and Eugene, South Hutchinson; a companion, Betty J. Boltz, Hutchinson; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral will be 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Glen A. Holman presiding. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
