Elma Jean Wilmoth
Elma Jean Wilmoth, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at her residence. The Hardin County native was a member of Locust Grove Baaptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Frances Goodman Klinglesmith and by a sister, Loretta Mae Smothers. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Hutcherson of Ashland, AL, two brothers, Horace Lee Klinglesmith and Marshall M. Klinglesmith both of Elizabethtown, three sisters, Thelma Faye Thompson of Glasgow, Lillian E. Tuller of Ostrander, OH and Lyda M. Barnes of Louisville, three grandchildren, Chuck, Terry and Daniel Hutcherson and five great grandchildren, Tyler, Trent, Gavin, Zach and Jesse. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Minnie Ruth Cornett
Minnie Ruth Cornett, 88 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Kensington Manor. She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gertie Lawson Tanner; five brothers, Damon Tanner, Roy Tanner, Alton Tanner, Woodrow Tanner and Owen Tanner; a sister Helen Jackson and a son-in-law, Gilbert Blan. She is survived by four daughters, Linda (Cleatus) Dillingham, Marlena (Ronald) Brown and Janice (Raymond) Vannatter all of Elizabethtown, Maxine (Darrel) Morgan of Cecilia; four grandchildren, Frances Newport and Beth Mink both of Elizabethtown, Lori Howlett of Glendale and Glenn Harrington of Cecilia; three great grandchildren, Austin, Billy and Logan and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Keys officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

William Joseph Kramer
William Joseph Kramer, 66 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Schenectady, NY and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #1455, Monsignor McGee General Assembly 4th Degree of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post #113. He worked for Superior Cable for 25 years and for Summit Polymer for 3 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anna Mae Tedisco Kramer and one sister, Jeanette Kramer. He is survived by his wife, Paula Kay Stringer Kramer; one daugher and her husband, Tammi and Clifford Miller of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Calli Miller and Codi Miller; one step brother, Wayne Kramer of Scotia, NY and one step sister, Roberta Jackson of Scotia, NY. The funeral will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Batcheldor and Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home. There will be a Prayer Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Harold R. Marshall
Harold R. Marshall, 78 of Magnolia, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his home. He was a native of Chico, CA and served in the U.S. Navy. He was an Electrician for the city of Clearwater, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita Jenkins Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Carol McCall Marshall; two sons, Timothy A. Marshall of Anderson, SC and David T. Marshall of Clearwater, FL; three daughters, Jennifer Lobik of Magnolia, Pamela A. Andrews of Bellevue, NE and Celeste A. Duplain of Tarpon Springs, FL; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildlren. Memorial services will be held in Live Oak, FL.

Reynold Murray
Reynold M. "Bummie" Murray, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his residence. The Hart County native was a member of Bethel Full Gospel Church in Cecilia and was a truck driver for Cowley, Inc. for over thirty years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey L. and Beatrice Wells Murray and by a brother, Walter Bledon Murray. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Riggs Murray, two sons, Harvey L. Jurray (Mary Ellen) of Upton and Eddie Lee Murray (Patty) of Upton, one step son, William H. Butler of Patoka, Ind., 3 step daughters, Doline Butler Ard (James) of Hodgenville, Barbara Butler Kendall and Donna Butler Lewis (William) both of Shepherdsville, two sisters, Alma King and Lucy Bailey both of Munfordville, a special niece, Helen Bailey of Munfordville and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral home with Rev. Danny Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Bonnieville cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Frank Joseph Day
Frank Joseph "Joe" Day, 70 of Elizabethtown, originally from Pretty Prairie, KS, passed away, Monday, February 22, 2010 at his home. Born in Kingman, KS, he was in the Army for 8 1/2 years, retired in 1993 from Ft. Knox Civil Service and then retired from his own lawn and yard excavating company in 2008. He was a member of the American Legion and First Christian Church and was a Kentucky Colonel. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and W.W. Day, Sr.; three sisters, Louise Freeman, Rose Parkhurst and Toni Legleiter and two brothers, James Day and Marion Day. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Day; a daughter, Deirdra (Ed) Evans of New Carlisle, OH; a son, Dusty (Annette) Day of Flintville, TN; four grandchildren, Justin Evans, Austin Evans, Dustin Day and Brandi Day; two sisters, Fran Wilson of IN and Laura Duncan of KS; two brothers, Bill Day and Lester Day both of KS and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Kennedy officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Mary Kay Foundation for Cancer Research, P.O. Box 799044, Dallas, TX 75379-9044.

Andrew Williams
Andrew Williams, 76 of Rineyville, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Breckinridge County, an Army Veteran and a member of Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church. He retired from International Harvester. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva Poole Williams; three brothers, W. R. Williams, Payton Williams and Wilbur Williams and four sisters, Jane Chancellor, Evelyn Jarboe, Aurelia Brineger and Donnie Miller. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hart Williams; five daughters, Sharon (Bill) Wood of Elizabethtown, Julia (Chuck) Freed of Glendale, Elaine (Dickie) Maulden and Bonnie Greenwell all of Rineyville and Donna (Gale) Bickett of Vine Grove; one brother, Lonnie B. Williams of Hardinsburg; two sisters, Ernestine Mattingly and Amy Sloan both of Louisville; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Creek Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday and continue after 10 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Henry E. Borders
Henry E. Borders, 87 of Glendale, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at North Hardin Health and Rehab. in Radcliff. He was a native of Hardin County and a member of Sand Springs Church of God of Prophecy. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was the owner of Border's Salvage Yard. He was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Borders; his parents, Claude and Iva Snelling Borders; a brother, Alvin Borders and a sister, Edna Brown. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janie Dailey Borders of Glendale; two sons, Wayne (Susan) Borders of Elizabethtown and Leonard (Martha) Borders of Glendale; one daughter, Brenda B. Hughes of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Maydell Davis of Louisville and Essie Slaughter of Swansboro, NC; eleven grandchildren, Rhonda McClure, Frankie Riggs, Trisha Pfeiffer, Susie Monroe, Nikki Enlow, Joey Borders, Charlene Barnes, Hope Staley, Mike Smallwood, Melissa Schroeder and David Borders and 21 great grandchildren. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Clarence Howard Wiggins
Clarence Howard Wiggins, 82 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Kensington Manor. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 3, 1927 and was a graduate of the Chicago Bible Institute, where he met his wife Rose. He attended Rutgers University and wrote some elementary school textbooks. He had his Masters in Education and loved history. He had many jobs and careers over the years, including being a bi vocational pastor in TN while he was the Jr. High and High School Principal and Superintendent in Lobelville, TN. He owned a logging plant and retired from being a very dedicated educator as the Oakland Elementary School Principal in Royal Oak, Michigan. When he retired to Kentucky, he was a gentleman apple farmer in Hodgenville and volunteer Chaplain at Hardin Memorial Hospital and a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. He served the Lord all his life with the way he dedicated his days to being a persistent prayer warrior, generous giver, Elder, Sunday School Teacher, loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be truly missed. A man of integrity who served on many mission and church boards over the years. As a prayer warrior, he prayed daily for his family, nieces and nephews, people he had known since children, those who influenced his life, the spiritually lost, and every missionary he had ever supported, which were many. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rose Esther Puckett Wiggins from Owensboro; his parents, Charles and Anna Johnson Wiggins and his only sibling, a brother, Herbert Wiggins all of Cleveland, OH. He leaves behind his children, Tim and Lynn Wiggins of Elizabethtown, Bruce and Denise Wiggins of Laguna Beach, CA and Laura (Wiggins) and Franc Samosir of CA; grandchildren, Dan and Amelia Wiggins of Chicago, IL, Becky (Wiggins) and Garret Wall of Louisville, Erin (Wiggins) and Blair Illingworth of San Diego, CA and Scott Wiggins of Laguna Beach, CA and many nieces and nephews in Elizabethtown and Louisville and Georgia. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Pryor and Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest giving to "Operation Centruion" for Bibles for the military in Germany and Russia, "Campus Crusade for Christ" to the Univeristy of Louisville Student's account 2581287 or "Amor Ministries" so God's work may continue.
