Lillie H. Whitlow

Lillie H. Whitlow, 67, of Bowling Green, Ky., died on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Daughter of the late Vird Lewis Henderson and Ermine Gupton Henderson, she was born in Taylor County, Ky., and was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.

Whitlow was a retired Warren County Schools food service employee.

Survivors include her husband, William Clayton Whitlow; three sons, William Craig Whitlow, Kevin Clayton Whitlow and Shawn Lee Whitlow, all of Bowling Green; two sisters, Juanita Wolford of Campbellsville and Paula Lynn Grumbles of Greenville, S.C.; one brother, Gary Dale Henderson of Panama City, Fla.; and one grandson.

Funeral was at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13 at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home. Burial was in Bowling Green Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or Forest Park Baptist Church.

Louise Morrow Dabney

Louise Morrow Dabney, 79, of Lowell Avenue in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, in Liberty, Ky.

Daughter of the late Joseph Morrow and Mary Bowlin Morrow, she was born on Sept. 27, 1923 in Wayne County, Ky.

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Russell County.

In 1965, she married James S. Dabney who survives.

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters, Ray Morrow, Marshall Morrow, Hugh Morrow, Ora Clayton and Opal Gaskins.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Lester B. Carter officiated.

Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Billy Dabney, Terry Dabney, Bill Gardner, Larry Gilpin, Chris Kidwell and Sie Parrish.

Frances Campbell

Frances Margaret Campbell, 72, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Owensboro, after an illness.

Daughter of the late Lawrence Mitchell and Josephine LaComb Mitchell of Ohio, she was of the Baptist faith and was a residential care provider for Adanta.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Campbell; two sons and their spouses and two daughters and their spouses, John Thomas and Sherry Rainwater of Campbellsville, Joe and Donna Rainwater of Hunstville, Ala., Susan Rainwater of Hartford, Ky., and Patty and Rick Mounce of Georgetown, Ky.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister, Lawrence Mitchell Jr. and Thomas Mitchell, both of Akron, Ohio, and Bonnie Alderman of Ohio.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jim Mitchell.

Funeral was at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 21 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Clarence Bertram officiated.

Pallbearers were Mike Kerns, Mike Milby Jr., Troy Clark, Jamie Malone, Gerald Scott and Mike Spears.

Honorary pallbearers were Nancy Wise, Ruthie Martin, Peggy Hatcher, Sue Munday, Rachael and Freddie Reinitz and Sharon Lacy.

Gracie Abigail Burton

Gracie Abigail "Abby" Burton, 21 months, of Columbia, Ky., died on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville.

She was the daughter of Levi and Brandy Smith Burton of Columbia, who survive.

Other survivors include one brother, Levi Anthony Burton of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Melissa and Doyle Stearns of Greensburg and Barry and Minnie Smith of Milltown; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Janet Gentry of Columbia; maternal great-grandparents, Nellie Keltner of Columbia, George Keltner and Ruth Smith, both of Milltown; paternal great-grandparents, Bobby Burton of Little Cake; special aunts and uncles, Adam and Karen Darnell of Clay Ridge, Heather Barnes of Burkesville, Gerad Gentry of Columbia and Rhonda Smith of Milltown; cousins, Evan Darnell, Kinley Darnell, Dominique Banter and Laura Smith; special friends, Kevin Burton, Christy Burton, Brooklyn Burton and Kaylee Burton, all of Columbia, Chris Wall, Chery Wall and Blaise Wall, all of Sparksville, Keith Johnson, Holly Johnson, Kendra Johnson, Alison Johnson and Isaac Johnson, all of Russell Springs, and Jason Warren and Sarah Warren, both of Columbia.

She was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Faith Gabrielle "Gabby" Burton; maternal great-grandfather, Rob Smith; paternal great-grandparents, Thelma Burton and John and Edna Gentry; and a special friend, Haili Alexis Wall.

Funeral was at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at Columbia United Methodist Church. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Foster officiated.

Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Louisville and can be made at the church.

Pallbearers were Mitch Magnus, Kevin Burton, Jason Warren and Keith Johnson.

Ellen L. Shipp, 84

Ellen L. Shipp, 84, of Shawnee Drive in Campbellsville, Ky., died on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Emmett Sallee and Fannie Chapman Sallee, she was born on March 20, 1918 in Green County, Ky., and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Shipp was formerly employed at Shipp's Seed House and Taylor County Airport Restaurant.

She was married to Odgen O. Shipp in 1953. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1994.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Linda Fisher of Elizabethtown, Ind.; one step-son and one step-daughter, Louis Shipp and Brenda Wilkerson, both of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Mark Fisher, Mendy Fisher and Mary Noblitt, all of Columbus, Ind.; seven step-grandchildren, Debbie Bailey of Lexington, Jarrod Wilkerson of Franklin, Tenn., Andrea Russell of Canton, Ga., the Rev. J.D. Shipp, Terry Shipp and Jerry Shipp, all of Elizabethtown, and David Shipp of Louisville; three great-grandchildren, Michael Fisher, Michaela Fisher and Christopher Noblitt; seven step-great-grandchildren, Dustin Bailey, Aaron Shipp, Laura Shipp, Ashley Shipp, Jason Shipp, Zachary Shipp and Joshua Shipp; two sisters, Eva Bowman of Campbellsville and Ada Margaret Daily of Indianapolis, Ind.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Charles Sallee, Marshall Sallee, Lewis Sallee and Spencer Sallee.

Funeral was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. The Rev. John Carroll Coomer and the Rev. Dick Francis officiated.

Pallbearers were Mark Fisher, Mendy Fisher, Ronnie Morrison, Mary Noblitt, Todd Noblitt, David Shipp, the Rev. J.D. Shipp, Jerry Shipp and Terry Shipp.

Ricky Dale Bowles, 22

Ricky Dale Bowles, 22, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, in Green County, Ky.

Bowles was born on March 15, 1980 in Taylor County, Ky.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Mary Ann and Ed Milby of Green County; one daughter, Ashley DeAnn Bowles of Green County; one brother, Steven Bowles of Green County; his grandparents, James Arvin Ray and Ethel Beatrice Ray of Green County; his aunt, Patsy Cox of Green County; his uncle, Jerry Ray of Green County; a special aunt, Carol Ray of Green County; and one step-sister, Chrissy Milby of Green County.

Funeral was at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Gary Ervin officiated.

Pallbearers were Jim Miller, Todd Brown, Scotty Brown, Earl Jessie, Coy Scott and Eddie Yates.

Honorary pallbearers were Lonnie Ray, Wayne Ray, Adam Cox, Steven Bowles, Rusty Morris, Ed Milby and Jerry Ray.
