Mr. Charles Wilson Strader

Interment: Browder Church Cemetery

Mr. Charles Wilson Strader, 93, of Madisonville, KY died at 9:05 P.M. Sunday, March 26, 2006 at the Regional Medical Center.

Born February 9, 1913 in Muhlenberg County, KY he was the son of the late L.C. Strader and Wilma Tinsley Strader. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Marie Groves Strader on May 12, 1998.

He retired as a coal miner with Peabody Coal Co. and was a member of the Browder United Methodist Church. He also attended the Parkview United Methodist Church. He was a fifty - six year member of the John T. Crandell Masonic Lodge # 457; a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star #390 and was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by one daughter, Joyce Roberts of Madisonville; one son, Bobby W. Strader of Madisonville; three sisters, Lela Shanks of Greenville, Rena Roark of Owensboro and Virginia Towery of Owensboro; one brother, John A. Strader of Greenville; eight grandchildren and twenty - one great - grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Barnett - Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Browning and Pastor Lonnie Strader officiating. Burial will follow in the Browder Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Gamblin, Jared Gamblin, Barret Holloway, Grant Strader, Robert Strader, Adam Strader, Quentin Lomache and Matthew Strader. Honorary Pallbearers will be Noah Strader, Jacob Strader, Alex Strader, Garvin Sheets and Tyler Gunther.

Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday and on Wednesday after 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the Gideon’s International. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sue Frances Jent, 89, of Madisonville, KY, died at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at her residence.

Born April 4, 1916 in Madisonville, she was the daughter of Claude and Robbie Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Crawford Lee Jent, on January 8, 1997and her son, Robert M. Jent.

Mrs. Jent was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church. She was a teacher in the Hopkins County Schools System and a member of Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the National Music Association and a Kentucky Colonel. She taught private music lessons for many years and loved to travel and read.

She is survived by her caregivers, Chuck and Brenda Gibson of Manitou, KY, Oda Clements, Lorene Norman and Maymie Dorris and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Barnett - Strother Funeral Home.

Mr. Harold Joseph Carron

Mr. James Joseph Carron, 93, of Madisonville, KY and formerly of Detroit, Michigan, died at 1:59 P.M. Friday, March 24, 2006, at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville.

Born May 24, 1912 in Detroit, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel A. Nance Carron.

He was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church and was a US Army World War II Army Veteran. He had been a truck driver for Kroger.

He is survived by his caregiver, Bonnie Burns of Hanson, KY; a step daughter, Patricia Zeomono of Mexico and two step grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Odd Fellows Cemetery with burial to follow. Father Gerald Calhoun will be officiating.

Barnett - Strother Funeral Home is in charge of the service.

Rev. Sandra “Sandy” Kay Corbin, 56 of Madisonville, KY died at 10:50 A.M. EST, Friday, March 24, 2006 at the University of Louisville Medical Center.

Born November 29, 1949 in Columbus, IN she was the daughter of the late Russell Helt. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Helt.

She worked as an administrative and accounting assistant for many local business in Columbus and Madisonville, including Boyer Machine and Tool, East Columbus Christian Church, Roseberry’s Printing, Schneider Implement, Findlay Industries, Landstar - Ligon and Cole’s Office Supply. She was an agent for United Insurance Company; owner of Sandy’s Tax Service and original owner of Dance Time Studio in Columbus. She was a minister of Pastoral Care and founder of the dance team at Life Christian Center. She volunteered with the Door of Hope Pregnancy Crisis Center and the Relay for Life Teams. She enjoyed dancing, quilting, gardening and spoiling her grandson. She was an ordained minister with Pentecostal Assemblies of God of America. She was a devout Christian and beloved member of her church, having dedicated her life to helping the less fortunate.

She is survived by her husband, Rev.John David Corbin; two sons, Kirt Fiesbeck of Dayton, OH and Kevin Fiesbeck, Columbus; her mother, Joan Helt of Columbus; two stepsons, Charley Corbin of Indianapolis, IN and David James Corbin of Orlando, FL; one sister, Linda Bennett of Columbus; one brother, Randy Helt of Columbus; one grandson, William Clark Fiesbeck of Dayton and four nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Life Christian Center with Dr. H. O. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, IN.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. Monday until the service at the Life Christian Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Barkes, Winlow and Weaver Funeral Home in Columbus.

Friends may call there from 11:00 A.M. until the services Wednesday.

Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Life Christian Center.

Mr. Robert L. “Bob” Walker, 84, of Madisonville, KY died at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Princeton Health Care Manor.

Born December 14, 1921 in Lone Tree, Iowa he was the son of the late Edwin Harvey Walker and Eva Laverne Thomas Walker. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Estill.

He retired from Andalex Coal Co. where he was a tipple operator. He was a member of the Madisonville First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lottie Franklin Walker; three daughters, Barbara Holland of Cadiz, KY, Bonnie Kington of Madisonville and Brenda Guess of Marion, KY; seven grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Barnett - Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Lon Lorton officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday until the services.

Memorial gifts may take the form of donations to the Madisonville First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edna May Wright, 88, of Madisonville, KY died at 2:00 A.M. Thursday, March 23, 2006 at her home.

Born September 15, 1917 in Neshoba County, Mississippi she was the daughter of the late Clark James and Clara Penegar James.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Richard A. Fee of Nortonville, KY; one daughter, Diane Schmidt of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one sister, Vivian James of North Miami, FL; five grandchildren and four great - grandchildren.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
