Loyd G. Leachman

OWENSBORO -- Loyd G. Leachman, 82, Owensboro, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2001, at Owensboro Mercy Health Systems.

He was retired from the Coca-Cola Co. of Owensboro. He attended St. Martin Catholic Church in Rome, Ky. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II who carried out 33 missions in the European Theater as a top turret gunner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Leachman, who died May 3, 1995.

Survivors include nieces and a nephew.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. The Rev. Walter Hancock will officiate. Entombment will be in the Leachman Family Mausoleum at Calhoun Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Hospice Association, Inc., 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY, 42301.

Edna Marie Lilly

Edna Marie Lilly, 79, Henderson, died at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Silvertones Adult Fellowship Group, and the Henderson County Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon Lilly Jr., who died Aug. 25, 1994.

Survivors include one daughter, Diane Rightmyer of Henderson; three sons, David Lilly of Owensboro, and Bob Lilly and Tom Lilly, both of Henderson; one sister, Doris Loge of Evansville; two brothers, William "Billy" Elmendorf of Westfield, N.J., and Gilbert Elmendorf of Shorewood, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Revs. Jeff Coursey and Alan Chamness will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Edith Grigg

WHEATCROFT -- Edith Grigg, 90, Wheatcroft, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville.

She was a member of Wheatcroft Cumberland Presbyterian Church for more than 74 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Grigg, who died in 1979; and one son, C.R. Grigg, who died in 1987.

Survivors include one son, Tom Grigg of Wheatcroft; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay. Brother John Shirey will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay.

Friends may call after 8 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Marie C. Kruse

Marie C. Kruse, 96, Henderson, died at 6:58 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Methodist Hospital.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin J. Kruse, who died in 1975.

Survivors include three daughters, Marian Kruse of Henderson, Evelyn Coleman of Brentwood, Mo., and JoAnne Ochsner of Evansville; two sons, Alvin J. Kruse of Hawesville, Ky., and George Kruse of Van Nuys, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Ouellette will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Daylon Matthew Margelot
Dillon Alexander Margelot

Daylon Matthew Margelot and Dillon Alexander Margelot, twin infant sons of Ernie IV and Leslie Margelot of Henderson, died Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Deaconess Women's Hospital in Newburgh.

In addition to the parents, survivors include grandparents, Tony and Debbie Bullock of Henderson and Ernie III and Brenda Margelot of Sebree; great-grandparents, Louise Goodley of Henderson, Dalton Brack of Michigan, Byron and Joann Bullock of Evansville, and Ernest Jr. and Beatrice Margelot of Hanover, Pa.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson. The Revs. David Alexander and Eddie Davis will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Tompkins Funeral Home's Sebree-Poole Chapel in Sebree is in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn Joyce Homier

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Evelyn Joyce Homier, 79, Punta Gorda, formerly of Clay, died of cancer Thursday, July 26, 2001, at New Horizons Adult Living in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Of the Baptist faith, she was an opera singer and a legal stenographer.

Survivors include one sister, Jacqueline H. Robertson of Punta Gorda; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay. Bro. Bill Scritchfield will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

Vanover Funeral Home in Clay is in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Loney Williams

Ethel Loney Williams, 86, Henderson, died at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2001, at Redbanks nursing home.

She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She was also an avid Ellis Park patron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Williams, who died in 1981; and one son, Ralph G. Williams, who died in 1938.

Survivors include six sons, James Williams Jr., Robert L. Williams, Norman G. Williams, Darrell W. "Pokie" Williams, and Steve L. Williams, all of Henderson, and Jack E. Williams of St. Louis; 20 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. D. Andrew Garner will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. today.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be Jay Williams, Mark Williams, Jeff Williams, Brian Williams, Eric Williams, Chris "Tater" Williams, Mike Williams, Jason Williams, Josh Williams, and Joey Williams.
