Lt. Col. Marvin O. Pope, 94, Webster, Fla., formerly of Harlan, died May 26, 2003, in Webster, Fla.
Pope is retired from the U.S. Air Force and served in the World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. He believed in the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Pope and Lula Walters Pope.
Survivors include his wife, Golda Pope, Webster, Fla.; one son, J.Y. Sizemore, Webster, Fla.; one daughter, Gayle Schwartz, Las Vegas, Nev.; one stepdaughter, Candice Webb, Lincoln, Calif.; two grandchildren: Teresa Breyman, Seattle, Wash.; and Michael Hill, Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Landis officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pope Cemetery in Bobs Creek with full military honors.
Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Patsy Blevins Creech, 81, Evarts, died Aug. 5, 2003, at her home.
A native of Harlan County, she was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Napier and Dewey Creech; her mother, Lillie Neff Blevins; her father, Ransom Blevins; and four brothers: Walter Middleton, Ed Blevins, Hubert Blevins and Lewis Blevins.
Survivors include eight children: Jody and Don Lundy, Harlan; Loretta Middleton, Evarts; Johnny Wayne Napier, Cotes; Edward Napier, Tazewell, Tenn.; Nannie and Oral Nantz Jr., Jacksboro, Tenn.; Barbara Hansel, Ages; Sue Napier, Beaver Dam; and Jack Napier, Jacksboro, Tenn.; one brother, James Blevins, Louisville; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Evarts Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Gregg Eldridge officiating.
Burial will follow in Evarts Memorial Gardens.
Bryan Lundy, John Lundy, Roger Bishop, Oral Nantz Jr., Jack Napier and Eddie Nantz will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers include Johnny Wayne Napier, Edward Napier, Don Lundy, Vaughn Daugherty, Oral Nantz and Skip Eldridge.
Evarts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce Lee Pryor Reel, 75, West Liberty, died Aug. 5, 2003, at her residence.
A native of Loyall, Reel was a homemaker and a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas L. and Carrie Wilson Pryor; and her husband, Jim Reel.
Survivors include her son, Nick Reel and wife, Leah, Staffordville; her daughter, Myra R. Huesman, West Liberty; four grandchildren: Nathan Reel and Megan Reel, both of Staffordville; Amy Reel, Lexington; and Melanie Huesman, West Liberty.
Visitation will be held today after 6 p.m. at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Garry Jones and the Rev. Earl Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow in Salyer Cemetery in West Liberty.
Jackie Prater, Steve Roy, Mark Walter, Mark Johnson, Grady Kegley, Eric Allen, Rusty Collinsworth, Scott Terrill, Roger Jarrell and Hank Allen will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Denzil Elliott, Bobby Cox, Emory Smith, Lenville Cantrell, Bill Joseph, Billy Perry, Graden Walter and Charlie Perry.
Memorial gifts are suggested to the made to the West Liberty United Methodist Church, West Liberty, KY 41472.
Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty is in charge of arrangements.

Rachel Elizabeth Shipman, 91, Bell County, died Aug. 5, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Shipman and a son, Patrick Shipman.
She believed in the Baptist faith and lived many years in Harlan County.
Survivors include a daughter, three sons and a daughter-in-law: Wilma Jeann and her husband, Leon Parrott; Herbert Shipman and wife, Alene; James Shipman and wife, Ernestine; Luther Shipman and wife, Judy; and Rita Shipman Gessells and her husband, Richard; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. at O'Neil Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Brother Barry Farris officiating.
O'Neil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Gola Louise Sturgill, 75, Blair, died Aug. 5, 2003, at her home.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church for over 50 years and a member of the womans Missionary Union at the church. She was also a member of the Mothers Against Drunk Driving. She was a secretary at Valley View Hospital for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Sturgill; a son, John Edward Sturgill; and two grandsons: Kyle Edward Sturgill and Wesley Clint Sturgill; and her parents, Charlie and Henrietta Blair Stone.
Survivors include two sons: Stanley Sturgill and wife, Sharon, Lynch; and Stephen Sturgill and wife, Karen, Cumberland; and a daughter-in-law, Lucille Sturgill, Lynch; one brother, Guy Stone, Baltimore; a devoted sister, Ina Joyce Arenett, Oakland, Md.; a special niece, Nadine Calvez, Morgan Hill, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Central Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Bruce Walzer and the Bob Yaden officiating.
Burial will follow in the Blair Family Cemetery in Blair.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Day & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery.

A native of Alabama, she was a homemaker and believed in the Church of God faith.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Thornton; her husband, Eugene Davis; and a granddaughter, Patsy Chambers.
Survivors include three children: Mattie Vick, Coxton; Flint Smith, Columbus, Ohio; and Christine Hicks, Gary, Ind.; three grandchildren who she raised as her children: Jimmie Chambers, Robert Chambers and Joyce Cole; one brother, two sisters: Lena Thornton, Chicago and Phoebe Terrell, California; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are incomplete at Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
