Eulaliah P. Levack
1926 – 2007

MOREHEAD – Eulaliah Smith Levack, 80, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Monday, April 16, 2007 in the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, Ohio.

She was born on September 14, 1926 in Soldier, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Conley Smith. She was the niece of the late Rev. Russell Smith of Haldeman.

Ms. Levack was retired from General Motors and was a member of the Church of God in Mansfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Jarvis, two brothers, Harold Smith and Bill Smith and four sisters, Edna Smith, Elana Stamper, Dora Holbrook and Shirley Legg.

Survivors include two sons, Randolph Underwood of Mansfield, Ohio and Larry Underwood of Kansas City, Kansas, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Clifford Smith, a niece, Chlotene Noble and sister-in-law, Inez Smith.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors in Mansfield with Pastor Rich Hurles officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Memorial Park.

Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.

Cheri Scanlon Wagoner
1959-2007

MOREHEAD - Cheri Scanlon Wagoner, age 48, of Old Phelps Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born February 18, 1959, in Lexington Kentucky, and is the daughter of George and Shirley Perry Scanlon of West Liberty, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Kenneth Van Wagoner; one stepson, Bryan Craig Wagoner and wife Elizabeth of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one step granddaughter, Brianna Wagoner of Hillsboro, Kentucky; one brother, James Eric Scanlon and wife Wanda of West Liberty, Kentucky; two sisters, Betty Barker and husband Chris and Penni Scanlon Lyons all of West Liberty, Kentucky. She is also survived by one nephew, Cody Barker; one niece, Erica Shayne Lyons; several aunts, uncles, and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kendra Michelle Wagoner.

Cheri was a former secretary at Morehead State University in the Computer Center and was a member of the Index Community Church in Morgan County.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Mike Frisby officiating; burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bryan Craig Wagoner, Chris Barker, Cody Barker, James Scanlon, Kevin McCarty and Gene Wright.

Visitation is after 6 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

James Henry Dulin

James Henry Dulin, 74, of Fayetteville, N.C., died on March 15, 2007 at the North Carolina State Veterans Nursing Home.

Mr. Dulin was born in Rowan County, Ky. He was retired from the U.S. Airforce.

A memorial service was held March 18, 2007 at the St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Hope Mills Road, Hope Mills, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army.

Edna Ferguson

Edna Marie Ferguson, 82, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., formerly of New Castle, died Friday, March 16 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Center at Ft. Wayne.

She was born Feb. 7, 1925 at Morehead.

Funeral services are Wednesday, March 21 at 11 a.m. at the Marcum Community Funeral Home at New Castle. Send online condolences at www.marcumfuneralhome.com.

Elwood Walton
1937-2007

MOREHEAD - Elwood Walton, age 70, of Nicholas Branch, Clearfield, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2007, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky. Born January 13, 1937, in Clearfield, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Saylor Walton and Lola Mae Link Walton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Estil, John, and Albert Walton.

He is survived by three sons, Joey Walton and Elwood Michael Walton of Columbus, Ohio, and Bobby Walton and his wife Tina of Morehead, Kentucky; one daughter, Melissa King and her husband John of Hillsboro, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Casey, Mica, and Allison Walton, Beulah McKinney, Timothy and Amanda Swartz, and Taylor Salmons; and five sisters, Madeline Trotter of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Icy Shrout of Coleman, Alabama, Margie Roberts of Emmett, Idaho, Gloria Miller of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Brenda Hockstelter of Wisconsin.

Mr. Walton was a former employee of Harold Markwell Furniture and an appliance repairman.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Brother Flavis McKinney and the Rev. Guy McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in the Link Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Walton, Michael Walton, John King, Timothy Swartz, Dale Crawford, Brent Carter, Taylor Salmons, and Jeremy Crawford.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Gladys Davidson
1928-2007

WALLINS - Gladys Davidson 79, of Wallins, Ky. departed this life on Monday, July 23, 2007 at her residence. She was born February 15, 1928 in Morehead, Ky. Ms. Davidson was a homemaker and attended the Kentenia Full Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wallace & Ida Mae Jerdan Kiser; three husbands, Hubert Saylor, Otis Adkins and David Davidson; five brothers, Ivan, Glenmore, John, George and Charlie; six sisters, Dorothy Knapp, Nola Doyle, Loma Brewer, Mycleta Saylor, Mary Glover and Odella Bates.

Survivors include a niece whom she raised, Joyce Cole and husband Danny of Wallins, Ky., and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Houston & Rev. Ted Doyle officiating. Graveside services were held Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Cemetery of Keith, Ky.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eugenia Sanders Ingram
1926-2007

MOREHEAD - Eugenia Sanders Ingram, age 80, of Glenway Road, Winchester, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky. Born July 29, 1926, in Omaha, Nebraska, she is the daughter of the late John and Josie Bittle Sanders.

Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold C. Ingram; two sons, Robert A. (Sandra) Ingram of Wellington, Kentucky, and Thomas E. (Mona) Ingram of Vancover, Washington; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ingram was a teacher’s aide in Wichita, Kansas, a homemaker, and an active member of the senior centers. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Columbarium with Father Jay VonHandorf officiating.

Lottie Marie (“Dottie”) Scaggs Lewis
1916-2007

MOREHEAD – Lottie Marie (“Dottie”) Scaggs Lewis, 91, of Clearfield passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007 in the St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

Dottie was born on July 9, 1916 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William L. (“Will”) and Arvillie Crum Lambert. She grew up at the head of Dry Creek.

Many may remember Dottie as “The Avon Lady.” She also sold nursery stock for Stark Brothers Nurseries and was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing Company. Most of her life was spent on the Scaggs family farm off Route 173, raising cattle and chickens, hay, fruits and vegetables. She attended the Fraley Chapel Church and enjoyed raising a garden and working outside.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Murvel Scaggs, who passed away on October 5, 2003, an infant daughter, four brothers, James A. Lambert, John Lambert, Dock Lambert and Sidney Lambert and six sisters, Lucy Lewis, Ardelia Clark, Ethel Stamper McBrayer, Jessie Caskey, Hettie Berdar and Verna Quesinberry.

Survivors include her husband, Sidney Clay Lewis of Clearfield, step-children, Cloma Bowlin and her husband, James Wilburn of Springport, Indiana, Janet Butcher and her husband, James of Clearfield and Dale Lewis and his wife, Debra of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, one sister, Bessie Lambert of Clearfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Gayle Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Scaggs-Harr Cemetery on Oak Grove Road. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Friday.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
