Mildred Bate Molton
1918-2007

MOREHEAD - Mrs. Mildred Bate Molton, Age 89, of Haldeman, passed away Wednesday evening October 17, 2007 in the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville following a brief illness.

She was born April 20, 1918 in Rowan County, Kentucky to the late Harry A. Bate and Sophia Stone Bate. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Henry Molton, two sons, James David Molton and George Harry “Joe” Molton. Five brothers, Elwood, Edgar, Fielden, Maurice and Lawrence, Three sisters, Hazel, Mina and Mae. Also, a Grandson, Chris Molton.

Mrs. Molton attended the Haldeman Church of God and was retired from Cowden’s Manufacturing Company after 27 years of service. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafts and reading.

She is survived by two sons, Duke (Jill) Molton and Bill (Janie) Molton both of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Two daughters, Barbara Waggoner and Etta (Jack) McHugh both of Maysville, Kentucky. Fourteen grandchildren, two great-grand-daughters and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2007 in the chapel of the Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home with Rev. Don Rivers officiating.

Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.

Friends may call at Lane-Stucky-Gray Funeral Home after 5:00 PM Friday, October 19, 2007.

Serving as pall bearers will be Duke Molton, Bill Molton, John McHugh, Ricky Parker, George Molton, Scott Molton, Greg Molton, Tim Molton and Cameron Molton.

Curtis Stevens
1930-2007

MOREHEAD - Curtis Stevens, age 77, of Stamper’s Trailer Park, Farmers, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the Greenbriar Health Care Center in Wheelersburg, Ohio.

He was born June 25, 1930, in Elliott County, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Vess and Emma Jerrals Stevens. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester Edward Stevens and Lester Boyd Stevens, and two sisters, Edna Nadine Stevens and Mary Elouise Caudill.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldean Cox Stevens; one son, Junior Ray and Debbie Stevens of Clearfield, Kentucky; three daughters, Patty and Charlie McIntosh of Clearfield, Kentucky, Carol and Tim Helterbrand of Morehead, Kentucky, and Connie and Lawrence DeWitt of Clearfield, Kentucky; one stepdaughter, Linda Smith of Morehead, Kentucky; one brother, Billy Cline Stevens of Pebbles, Ohio; one sister, Pauline Stamper of Morehead, Kentucky; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Curtis was a former employee of a cabinet factory in Michigan.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Billy T. Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason DeWitt, Dustin Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Tim Helterbrand, Lawrence DeWitt, Charlie McIntosh, and James Stamper.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Mary Ann Rowe Reed
Age: 71
Visitation: Pikeville, Kentucky visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Call Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday
Interment: Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery, Shelbiana, Kentucky.

Mary Ann Rowe Reed, the daughter of the late Milder and Glema Goff Rowe, passed away Friday July 29, 2011 at the age of 72, in Residence Union Township, and was formerly of New Richmond, Ohio.

Mary was the loving wife of Mitchell Reed, loving mother of Jeffrey (Jeanette) Dunn and Wendy (Alex) Staley, and was the step mother of Donna (Dale) Rue. Her grandchildren include; Alexander and Aidan Staley, Luke Rue, and Noah Dunn. She was a sister of; Rosalie Rawlings, William Jack Rowe, Kathleen Kinsel and Middy Veal.

Mary Ann Reed was a teacher and artist, who retired from New Richmond Schools in 1992.

VISITATION will be in Ohio Monday August 1, 2011 from 5 till 7 P.M. at the E.C. NURRE FUNERAL HOME, 177 West Main Street (St. Rt. 125) Amelia, Ohio. Funeral services in Ohio will be at 7 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.

VISITATION in Kentucky will begin at 1 P.M. Tuesday August 2, 2011 at J. W. Call & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service begining at 2 P.M., Rev. Brad Smart will be officiating.

Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery, East Shelbiana-Pikeville, Kentucky.

Mary Elizabeth “Nuge” Filson Walton
1917-2007

HILLSBORO - Mary Elizabeth “Nuge” Filson Walton, age 90, of Grange City, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 8, 2007, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

Born July 25, 1917, in Fleming County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late James Blaine Filson and Emma Adkins Filson. Her husband, Noel Walton, preceded her in death in 1989.

Mrs. Walton is survived by two daughters, Betty Howe of Grange City and Nancy Corbin of Flemingsburg; five grandchildren, Kevin Walton Corbin, Kent Corbin, Jan Howe Brown, Jacquelyn McCord, and Jeffrey Howe; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Walton was a homemaker and member of the Grange City Christian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007, at the Hutton Funeral Home with Dr. David Barnett and the Rev. Randy Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Corbin, Kent Corbin, Jeffrey Howe, Blake Brown, Adam McCord, Daniel McCord, and Christopher Corbin.

Rosemary Smith Ramsey
Age: 71
Visitation: Visitation will be in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel after 6 p.m. Thursday, with evening services at 7:30p.m Thursday and visitation Friday after 8:30 a.m.
Funeral Service: Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Main Street Church of Christ with Josh Allen officiating.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Ramsey Cemetery at Weddington Branch Road, Coal Run, Kentucky.

Rosemary Smith Ramsey, age 71, of Pikeville, passed away, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She was a homemaker and a retired business owner. She was a faithful member of the Main Street Church of Christ, since 1962.

She was born in Pike County, Kentucky on May 1, 1940 the daughter of the late Ira North Smith and Gladdeus Burnette Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Joe Ballard Ramsey, Sr. and two sons, Robert Wayne Ramsey and Joe Ballard Ramsey, Jr. both of Pikeville and one daughter, Linda Fae Hall (Freddie Clayton Hall) of Pikeville.

She is also survived by one brother, Glenn Archie Smith (Gail) of Gallipolis, Ohio and one sister, Carolyn Asbury (Charles) of Pikeville and two grandchildren, Emily Rose and Mary Elizabeth.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Paul Allen, Keith Slone, Kent Walters, Bart Williams, Jerry Reed, JR Damron, Danny Blackburn, Wes Taylor, Phil Heffington and David Akers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to the Main Street Church of Christ Mission Fund, P.O. Box 2747, Pikeville, Ky. 41502 or the American Cancer Society, 4338 13th Street, Ashland, Ky. 41102.

Gretta Hazel Ison Williams
1919-2007

WEST LIBERTY – Gretta Hazel Ison Williams, 88, of West Liberty, widow of E.T. Williams, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty.

She was born April 4, 1919 at Morgan County to the late Dockie B. Ison and Nevada Hayes Ison.

Gretta was a homemaker, an avid gardener and quilt maker. She based her life upon the teaching of the Holy Bible by demonstrating a great love for God, family, friends and neighbors. She always saw the best in everyone and expressed kindness to all. During her illness, she so often was heard to say “I’m going to Heaven some sweet day.” She has now arrived at that wonderful place she so often spoke.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters, Minta Ferguson, Monnie Fraley and Nancy “Dottie” Conley; three brothers, Arnold Ison, Earl Ison and Leslie Ison.

She is survived by two daughters, Deloris and Wayne Stinson of Morehead, and Kay and Larry Gilliam of West Liberty; one son, Bob and Sue Williams of West Liberty; one brother, Fred and Yvonne Ison of West Liberty; one sister-in-law, Ella Williams of West Liberty; one brother-in-law, Walker Williams Jr. of Isonville; five grandsons, Philip and Emily Stinson of Hebron, Lance and Jenny Williams of Austin, Texas, Eric and Wendy Stinson of Morehead, Kelly and Vickie Gilliam of West Liberty and Keith Gilliam of West Liberty; two granddaughters, Lana and Michael Price of West Liberty and Amy and Chris Baldwin of West Liberty; five great-granddaughters, Madison Price, Corryn Williams, Haylee Baldwin, Bailey Stinson and Clara Williams; and two great-grandsons, Conner Gilliam and Jarrett Price.

Services were conducted Friday, Oct. 5 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Chris Baldwin, Rick Pelfrey and David Ison officiating. Burial at Paint Valley Memorial Gardens at Crockett.

Pallbearers: grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Sandra Patrick Needham
1947-2007

MOREHEAD - Sandra Patrick Needham, 60, of Conroe, Texas, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at home in Conroe.

She was born February 11, 1947, in Greenville, West Virginia, and is the daughter of Ethel (Rogers) Patrick of Carlsbad, CA and Clyde Patrick.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard S. Needham of Conroe, TX, whom she married on March 28, 1970; a daughter Kim (Mark) Toms of Dekalb, IL; and a son Brandon (Karla) Needham of Spring, TX.

Also surviving are grandchildren: Tara Kay, Ashley, Tyler, Rachelle, Cody, Jose Antonio, and Julianna; and great grandchildren: Elias and Adiana.

Additional survivors include siblings: Brenda Patrick-Price of Carlsbad, CA; Larry Patrick of Lake Villa, IL; and James Patrick of Tinley Park, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Patrick, and her brother, Terry Patrick.

Services and entombment will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Patrick Cemetery in Carter County with Brandon Needham officiating.
