Bertha Runyon Trout, 87, of Center, KY, formerly of Sidney, KY, passed away January 21, 2011 in Glasgow, Ky.
She was born October 12, 1923 in Martin County, Ky. the daughter of the late Taulby and Ellen Horn Runyon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Trout, sisters, Kate Workman, Oma Workman and Patsy Burgett and brothers, Arrie Runyon and Jim Runyon.
Bertha was a homemaker and a member of the Big Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Sidney, Ky.
She is survived by her children, Phyllis (Lonnie) Rose of Center, KY, Sarah (Edward) Thomas of Waynesboro, Ga., Thomas (Diana) Trout of Lancaster, SC and Michael (Linda) Trout of Johnson City, Tn.; brother, Haskell (Josephine) Runyon of Borderland, WV; six grandchildren, Stephanie Rose of Center, KY, Jason (Amy) Thomas of Waynesboro, Ga., Patrick (Paige) Thomas of Macon, Ga., Mike Trout and Bobby (Stella) Trout of Johnson City, Tn., and Amanda (Ricky) Hicks of Rock Hill, SC and one step-grandchild, Dustin Dickerson of Lancaster, SC; three great grandchildren, Chloe Thomas, Preston Thomas, Mason Trout and two step great grandchildren, Gabriel Veldboom and Hannah Cham and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 24, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Saturday and Sunday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services Sunday night at 7 PM with Hacky Runyon and Freddie Runyon.

Richard Shane Carroll, 35, of Turkey Creek, KY passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at his residence.
He was born September 8, 1975 in Columbus, Ohio the son of Richard E. Carroll of Turkey Creek, Ky. and the late Alice Ford Carroll.
He was disabled, having been employed by Tramco and a member of the Church of God.
Besides his Father he is also survived by three children, Cody Carroll and Kayla Carroll both of Westerville, Ohio and Austin Carroll and his Mother, Melinda Jude of Canada, Ky.; on sister, Michelle (Rodney) Williamson of Huddy, Ky. and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11 AM at the Canada Freewill Baptist Church with Roger Williamson, Butch Williamson and Jack Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Rest
Memorial Gardens, Reynoldsburg, Ohio on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Visitation will be held after 6 PM on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Canada Freewill Baptist Church with special services at 7 PM.

Judy Faye Little, 68 of McCarr, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at her residence.
She was born May 8, 1942 at McCarr, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Fred and Pearl (May) Rife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving companion, Darrell Lockhart; one daughter, Wilma Jean Hyden; two brothers, Raven and Avery Rife; and three sisters, Mary Rife, Ethel Bailey and twin sister, Eula Faye Rife.
Judy was a retired cook at Food City and of the Church of Christ Faith. She is survived by three sons, William Avery Hyden of McCarr, Kentucky, Samuel Jonathan Hyden of Cincinnati, Ohio and Joshua Pauley of McCarr, Kentucky; two daughters, Rhonda Lynn Trent of Delbarton, West Virginia and Coetta Ford of Delbarton, West Virginia; two sisters, Sylvia Skeens of Charleston, West Virginia and Greta Mayhorn of Freeburn, Kentucky; Grandchildren, Walter Ford Jr., Anthony Ford, William Hyden, Katie Trent, Dustin Trent, Brandon Hyden and Ashley Hyden; great grandchildren, Hannah Hyden and Hailey Hyden; one great grandson on the way and a host of loving friends.
Funeral Services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, Kentucky with Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson-Hatfield Cemetery, McCarr, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 4 P.M. Monday, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home and anytime Tuesday.

Linda Darlene Johnson-Rolle (Rosebud), 47 of Miami, Fl. passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at Henry Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga. due to a brief illness.
She was born June 16, 1963 in South Williamson, Ky. the daughter of the late Rev. Carl Eugene Johnson Sr. and Evelyn Carter Johnson. She was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church of Huddy, Ky.
Linda graduated from Belfry High School, continuing her education at Eastern Kentucky University. Later in life moving to Miami, Fl. where she became the wife to Kevin Rolle and devoted mother to Brandon Johnson, Tiffany Rolle, Ashley Rolle and Kevin Rolle Jr.
Surviving are her two sons, Brandon Johnson and Kevin Rolle Jr. of Miami, Fl; two daughters, Tiffany Rolle and Ashley Rolle of Miami, Fl.; beloved daughter-in-law, Sheri Johnson and granddaughter, Saryah Jaida Johnson of Miami, Fl.; five brothers, Carl and Lisa Johnson of Harold, KY, Clifford and Debra Johnson of Belfry, KY, Joseph and Maria Johnson of San Marcus, Ca., Johnny and Geri Johnson of Kileen, TX, and Paul Johnson of Philadelphia, PA three sisters, Barbara Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Debra Johnson of Philadelphia, PA and Brenda Johnson of Philadelphia, PA; numerous nieces and nephews that she loved so very much.
If there is one thing that everyone could agree on, Linda was a God fearing woman after Gods on heart. She always said that nothing ever matters when you know God is in control and nothing ever did. Being the light that lead her husband, four children and many others to know Jesus Christ. Romans 14:8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Saturday January 29, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. G. C. Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

George Robert Rose, 60 of Hephzibah, Ga. formerly of Canada, KY passed away Sunday night, January 30, 2011 in Georgia. He was born February 8, 1950 in Pike County, Ky to the late Heston and Susie Juanita Farley Rose. He was retired from the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife; Chong S. Rose, one daughter; Hanna Lee Rose of Charlotte, N.C., one son; Robert Eugene Rose of Spartanburg, S.C., four brothers; Elbert H. Rose of Canada, Ky. Herman Rose of Albany, Ky. Wayne Alfred Meade of Akron, Ohio and Joseph Wayne Meade of Columbia, S.C. two sisters; Vivian Sue Rose of Canada, Ky. and Nyoka Rose Stanley of Canada, Ky. One grandchild; Kamden Michael Rose of Spantanburg, S.C. and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday February 5, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Cemetery at Canada, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers. D.A.V. graveside services will be conducted by Belfry Chapter #141. Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Thursday night and Friday night at the funeral home with special services both nights at 7 P.M.

George Washington May Jr. 81, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, formerly of McAndrews, Kentucky, graduated into life eternal on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Williamson ARH.
George was born in McAndrews, Kentucky, May 23, 1928, the beloved son of the late George Washington May Sr. and the late Bertha Blackburn May. He was preceded into Glory by his loving wife Reba May and a son Bruce May.
George was a UAW worker at Chrysler Motor Co. for 42 years in Trenton, Michigan. He was a loving Father and Grandfather. George will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
George is survived by his loving daughters; Gwendolyn Lee May Castro (Alex) of Plantation, Florida and Debra Lynn May Carter (Mark) of Turkey Creek, Kentucky. A sister Bernice May Cleghon (Richard) of Huddy, Kentucky a brother; William May of Ohio, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and one very special friend; Jan Glowinski.
Visitation begins at 6 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday January 6 & 7 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home in the Appalachian Plaza. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P..M. Friday January 8, 2009 at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Tackett Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Kentucky with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.

James Thomas Roberts, 51, of Raceland, Ky. passed away Sunday January 3, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1958 in Williamson, W.V. to Elijah Evans and Anna Lois Smith Evans of Columbus, Ohio.
He was an employee of Buckeye Steel.
Visitation will be at 12 noon Thursday January 7, 2010 at the Lonesome Dove Old Regular Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday at the Lonesome Dove Old Regular Baptist Church with Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery, Canada, Ky. with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers.

Lucien Douglas Savage Jr., 32, of Kenova, W.V. passed away Monday January 11, 2010 at the Hospice House of Huntington, W.V. He was born April 3, 1977 at South Williamson, Ky. to
Lucian Douglas Savage Sr. and Loretta Coleman Savage of Kenova, W.V. He is preceded in death by his grandmother; Besta Hager and cousin; Frankie Coleman.
He was a carpenter and a member of the Jesus Name Faith of Huntington, W.V.
Besides his parents he is survived by two sons; Brycen Douglas Savage and Tyler Charles Savage of Kenova, W.V. one daughter; Iasbella Frye of Chesapeake, Ohio, three half-sisters; Darlene Meadows of Marrowbone Creek, W.V., Donna Ratliff of Crum, W.V. and Debra Hunt of Marrowbone Creek, W.V., grandmother; Alva Savage of Chattaroy, W.V. special friend; Cindy Blanton of Kenova, W.V. and a host of Aunts and Uncles.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 Noon Friday January 15, 2009 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Appalachian Plaza with Bobby Young officiating. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery, Dan's Branch, Borderland, W.V. with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers. Vivitation will be from 6 till 10 P.M. Thursday night at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Appalachian Plaza.

Ruby Mae Walters, 73 of Varney, Ky. passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 at her home of a lingering illness. She was born April 28, 1936 in Pike County, Ky. to the late Jeff and Mary Robinette. She is also preceded in death by her husband; Bill Walters, one son; Danny Walters and eight brothers, Virgil, George, Ferrell, Leonard, Homer, Willard, Earl and Toney Robinette. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim Home Old Regular Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Michael (Connie) Walters of Zebulon, KY., Andrew (Kim) Walters of Varney, KY, and Bill (Tenna) Walters of Varney, Ky.; one daughter-in-law, Glenda Stanley Walters of Pikeville, Ky.; one brother, John Robinette of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; one sister, Marie Stratton of Lexington, KY, and six grandchildren; Angela (Sheridan) Spartman, Daniel Walters, Stephen (Alecia) Walters, Derick (Mandy) Walters, Brandi Walters and Billeigh Walters and two great grandchildren, Eva Grace Spartman and Harleigh Spartman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the Pilgrim Home Old Regular Baptist Church, Varney, KY, with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow at the Robinette Family Cemetery, Varney, Ky. with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 PM Friday and Saturday at Pilgrim Home Old Regular Baptist Church with special services both nights at 7 P.M.

Homer Justice, 77, of Ransom, Ky. who was a loving husband to all who knew him passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, Ky.
He was born March 30, 1932 at Phyllis, Ky. the son of the late Bill and Stella Hatfield Justice. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Willie Justice Jr.
Homer was a retired coal miner from Eastern Coal Corp., a member of the UMWA and the Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Jo Scott Justice of Ransom, Ky.; one son, Rocky Brian Justice and his Fiancee, Bonnie Chatman of Dunlow, WV; one daughter, Daphne Nancy (Barry) Maggard of Ransom, Ky.; five brothers, Bruce Justice of Belfry, Ky.; Ernie Justice and Ray Justice both of Hardy, Ky. and Mosco Justice and Bob Justice both of Ransom, Ky.; two sisters, Edna Dotson of McAndrews, Ky. and Mae Dotson of Lexington, Ky. and two grandchildren, Zachary Michael Maggard and Kevin Eugene Maggard both of Ransom, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Samaria Primitive Baptist Church with Elders, Mike Smith, Raymond Stanley and David Allen Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in the Alley Cemetery, Ransom, Ky. Visitation will be held after 6 PM on Sunday, January 17, 2010 and Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Church with a special singing service Sunday night and special service Monday night at 7 PM. Pallbearers will be Roy Justice, Phillip Justice, Mitchell Justice, Kevin Maggard, Zachary Maggard, Chris Justice and Jonny Scott.

Joseph Edward Pauley, 95 of 239 Shady Grove Road, Lawndale, NC formerly of Pike County passed away, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Pike County, Kentucky on June 1, 1914 to the late Joseph Cooper Pauley and Martha Varney Pauley. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, Lawndale, NC. He was a man who loved his family. He was a believer in hard work and retired from Eastern Coal Corp. as a heavy mechanic. He also enjoyed through his life, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 74 years, Reba Sammons Pauley; six brothers, Charles, Frank, Robert, Fred, James and Jack Pauley and a sister, Edna Mae Aaron.
Mr. Pauley is survived by his son, Larry Pauley and wife, Freida of Shelby, NC; two daughters, Janice Scott of Lawndale, NC and Margaret Runyon and husband, Harry of Dallas, NC; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston, NC on Thursday from 6 till 8 PM and at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry on Saturday from 10 AM till 11 AM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Kohari and Rev. Soctty Sumner officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. Memorials may be made to the Forest Hills Baptist Church.

Jerry David Nunley, 50, of Caney, W.V. passed away Friday January 22, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 14, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Virginia Diamond Nunley Wright of Naugatuck, W.V. and the late James David Nunley. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Nolan Church of God Acts 20:28.
He is survived by his wife: Rosetta Nunley, one son: David Scott Franklin (Beverly) Nunley of Caney, W.V. two sisters: Donna (Dale) Baisden of Marrowbone, W.V. and Sheila Hundley of Lenore, W.V. one brother: Terry (Sarah) Nunley of Grey Eagle, W.V. one grandchild: Zachariah David Nunley and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Sunday January 24, 2010 at the Nolan Church of God Acts 20:28 with Paul Ray Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. till 1 P.M. Sunday at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Maher, W.V. with Family and Friends serving as pallbearers. R. E. Rogers Funeral home of Belfry, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.

Hattie R. McCoy, 73, of Burnwell, Ky. passed away Saturday January 23, 2010 at her residence. She was born October 22, 1936 in Kentucky to the late Ida Mae Bevins. She is preceded in death by two sons; Michael McCoy and Robert McCoy, and one brother; Walter Robinson. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband; Virgil McCoy, one daughter; Betty Anne McCoy of Burnwell, Ky. two sons; Virgil Ray McCoy of Burnwell, Ky. and Vernon Richard (Lydia) McCoy of Hardy, Ky. two brothers; Jay Robinson of Florida and Roy Rogers Robinson of Wiliamson, W.V. one daughter-in-law; Penny McCoy of Canada, Ky. two grandchildren; Brian (Ashley) McCoy and Darrin (Gina) McCoy one great grandchild; Zack McCoy and one niece; Michelle McCoy and her daughter Selena.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Tuesday January 26, 2010 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Donnie Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at McCoy Cemetery, Burnwell, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Sunday and Monday night at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services at 7 P.M. Monday night.
