Brenda Gay Cary, 58, of McAndrews, KY, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her home.
She was born July 19, 1953 in Pike County, Ky. the daughter of
the late Robert Brittian and Mary Magdalene Elkins Brittian Trent. She
was also preceded in death by her step father, Virgil Trent; grandparents, Russell and Fonnie Elkins and nephew, Wesley Jenkins.
She was a longtime employee of Stewart's Drive Inn and she was
an avid bowler.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Cary of McAndrews,
KY; sons, Virgil (Karen) Cundiff and Ron (Denise) Cundiff all of
Stone, Ky. and Michael Cundiff of McAndrews, KY; daughter, Cindy Gibson and Fiancée, Don
Gilbert of Indianapolis, IN; step son, Steven Cary of McAndrews, KY; step daughter, Hedy Jo
Johnson of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Lillian (Bobby) Jenkins of Pineville, WV and Reca (Glenn)
Carroll of McAndrews, KY; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Appalachian Hospice, the Doctors and Nurses at Pikeville
Medical Center and all her friends who prayed for her.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 11 AM at the Octavia Freewill
Baptist Church with Earsel Ray Taylor and David Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in
the Trent Family Cemetery, McAndrews, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 4 PM till 8 PM Saturday at the Church.

John Jacob Fry, 27 of Slaters Branch, KY, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital, South Williamson, KY.
He was born February 11, 1985 at Williamson W.V. to Barbara
Sue Hatfield Fry of Newtown, W.V. and the late John Arthur Fry. He
is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Jake and Margaret Hatfield and his paternal grandparents; Kenneth and Edna Fry.
He was employed by the Mingo County Board of Education as
a teacher at Gilbert Middle School, an assistant football coach at
Mingo Central High School and a member of the New Vision Assembly of God Church.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Leigh Ann
Pollis Fry; two step-children, Fon Ethan McCoy and Jadyn Bailey McCoy of the home; one sister, Angie (Allen) Fry Ables of Logan, WV; nephew, Stephen Whitt; nieces, Allison Whitt and
Jonda Whitt; great nephew, Bentley; aunts, Patricia (Roby) Pope, Estalene (David) Lester and
Mazie (Ellis) McCoy; special aunt and uncle; Nancy (Butch) Collins and a host of other family
and friends.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Sunday at Mingo Central High School.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 PM, Monday, June 18, 2012 at Mingo Central High
School with Ron Pruitt and Herb Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Family Cemetery
at Merrimac, W. V. with Timmy Kane, Terence Pruitt, Brian Newsome, Mark Dean, Josh Fry,
Todd Adkins and Terry Stafford serving as pallbearers. Mingo Central High School coaching
staff and football players will serve as honorary pallbearers.

James Robert Sellards Jr. 84, of Turkey Creek, KY passed away Sunday June 17, 2012 at
Pikeville Medical Center. He was born February 5, 1928 at South Williamson, KY to the late
James Buck and Flora Collins Sellards. He is also preceded in death by one brother; Troy
Sellards. He was employed by J. D. Westcotts for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife; Winnie Lee Canada Sellards, three daughters; Marquita Martin of
Delbarton, W.V., Carolyn Sue Stanley of Turkey Creek, Ky, and Lisa Marie Varney of Stone,
Ky., three sons; Danny Troy Sellards of Turkey Creek, Ky, James Keith Sellards of North Carolina and Bennie Dean Sellards of North Carolina, five sisters; Ruby Chapman of Turkey Creek,
Ky, Carol Coleman of Virginia, Madeline Spillman of Columbus, Ohio, Bob Smith of
McVeigh, Ky., and Geraldine Smith of McVeigh, Ky., ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted 12 Noon, Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home with Joseph Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Sellards Family Cemetery,
Turkey Creek, Ky., with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday and Tuesday night at the funeral home.

Claude William "Brother" Wolford, 74, of Fort Lawn, SC
died Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at his Sister's residence, who has
been his caregiver for the past several months. He was born January
28, 1938, in Pike County, Kentucky, a son of the late Claude and
Edna Wolford. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his
wife, Margaret Miller Wolford; three brothers, Edgar Wolford, Billy
Gene Wolford and Chuck Wolford; two sisters, Joann Jessie and
Betty Jane McGee.
Claude was an avid horse trainer, worked as a brick mason
and coal miner and was a former employee of Norfolk-Western
Railroad. He attended schools in Mingo County, West Virginia.
Claude is survived by two sons, James Wolford of Forest Hills, Kentucky and Roger
Wolford of Lancaster, South Carolina; three daughters, Barbara Simpkins of Winchester, Virginia, Laura Wolford of Matewan, West Virginia and Marla Taber of Purcillville, Virginia; one
brother, Leon Wolford of Lancaster, South Carolina; two sisters, Mildred Leggett of Fort Lawn,
South Carolina and Judy Whorton of Rixiville, Virginia; seven grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at R.E. Rogers Funeral
Home, Belfry, Kentucky with Archie Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Wolford
Cemetery, Devon, West Virginia with James Wolford, Roger Wolford, Randy Baldwin, Thomas Simpkins, Darrell Leggett, Paul Simpkins and Jessie Wolford serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC, 29210 or to Hospice Care of SC, 173 Columbia St., Chester, SC 29706.

Aiden Memphis McIntosh, age 2, of Mammoth Spring, AR, was born July 9, 2009 in
Mtn. Home, AR, and passed away June 17, 2012.
Survivors include: his parents, James and Rachel McIntosh Jr., and Dana Carroll; 1 sister,
Haylie McIntosh; 1 brother, James McIntosh III; his parternal grandparents, James McIntosh Sr.
and his wife Diana, of Mammoth Spring, AR., his maternal grandparents, Peggy Taylor and her
husband Terry of Couch, MO., and Bill Kelley and wife LaDell of Sparta, Mo., 3 great grandmothers, Eleanor Westinghouse, Joyce Mauldin and Lorene Langley; his aunts and uncles, B. J.
(Melvin) Privett, Angela Meredith (Andy Goans), Quiana (Lonnie) Farmer, and Tiffany (Peter)
Pancescu; his cousins, Jenny, Jacob, Jason, Tessa, Diana, Tommy, Kevin, Dakota, Jordyn,
Cheyenne, Nevaeh, Keyleya, Khole and Kyra; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was
preceded in death by one uncle; Tommy McIntosh and great uncle, James Langley.
Visitation will be from 5 till 9 PM Saturday night at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be conducted, 1 PM, Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the funeral home
with Jeff Dotson, Shawn Dotson and others officiating. Burial will follow at the ColemanMcIntosh Cemetery, Sidney, Ky. with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Woodrow "Woodie" Hampton Jr. 66 of Chattaroy, WV
passed away June 22, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Huntington,
W.V. He was born June 14, 1946 in Matewan, W.V. to the late
Woodrow Hampton Sr. and Virgie Smith Hampton. He is also preceded in by his adopted parents; Hubert and Hazel Grant, sisters;
Loretta Hampton Francis and Annette Hampton Ratliff, brother;
Tommy Thompson, father-in-law; Robert Robinson Sr. and brother-in-law; Robert Robinson Jr.
He was a conductor for N & S Railroad for 29 years, a Christian and a member of the Turkey Creek Freewill Baptist Church. A
veteran of the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army from 1967 till 1969
receiving the following medals; The National Defense Service
Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Safe
Driving Badge. He loved going to old car shows and his old cars.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Robinson Hampton, daughters; Paula Hampton of Turkey Creek, Ky and Sharon (Chris) Blevins of Turkey Creek, Ky., grandchildren; Kaylee Nicole
Blevins and Caleb Franklin Blevins of Turkey Creek, Ky., sisters; Ruth (William) Edwards of
Ocala, Fl., Sherry (Jerry) Sluss of Bluefield, W.V., Rita (Roger) Stanley of Huddy, Ky., and
Sandra Varney of Roanoke, Va., brother; Jeff (Barbara) Hampton of Pounding Mill, Va., mother-in-law; Ora Robinson of Turkey Creek, Ky., stepmother; Mildred Hampton of Pounding
Mill, Va. and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Monday June 25, 2012 at R. E. Rogers
Funeral Home with Mikie Smith, Butch Williamson and Danny Swafford officiating. Burial
will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher, W.V. with military graveside services conducted by Belfry Chapter #141 D.A.V. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hover Varney, Ray Dove, Steve Dove, Bill Smith, Gary Smith
and Steve Terry.
Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Sunday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 P.M.

Larry Michael Smith, 38 of Richfield, NC formerly of Canada, KY, passed away
Wednesday June 27, 2012 in North Carolina.
He was born March 1, 1974 in Pike County, Ky. the son of Larry T. Smith of Canada,
Ky. and the late Sandra K. Williams Smith. Besides his Mother, he was preceded in death by a
brother, Roy Smith and grandparents, LeRoy and Mae Smith and Ralph and Gladys Williams.
Larry was an engineer for the Railroad.
Other than his Father, he is survived by two sisters, Kimberly (Jonathan) Bogar of Canada, Ky.
and Sonya (Scott) Beard of Charleston, WV; a special friend, Lauren Wicker and a host of other
family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 PM till 9 PM Thursday, July 5, 2012
at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

Pamela Lynn Adkins, 54 of McCarr, KY, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at the South Williamson Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born October 3, 1957 at South Williamson, Ky. the daughter of the late Milton and Lillian June Barrett Fletcher. She was also preceded in death by her son, Channing Dwayne Adkins; brother, Darrell
Fletcher and sister, Linda Kay Fletcher.
Pamela was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include her husband, Terry "Rick" Adkins of McCarr,
Ky.; daughter, Sabrina (Brandon) Estep of McCarr, Ky.; sister, Brenda (Joe) Tomsovic of Williamson, WV; brothers, Therman Fletcher of Glendale Heights, IL and Larry (Irene) Fletcher of
LakeVilla, IL: grandchildren, Brandon Adkins of Washington, PA, Kirsten and Megan Thompson and Deborah Estep all of McCarr, Ky.; a special friend, Roger Duty of McCarr, Ky. and a
host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home Chapel with Carl Butler officiating and special singing by Ruth James.

Ronald Scott Wolford, 42, of Belfry, KY, passed away Tuesday
July 3, 2012 at the ARH Emergency Room. He was born February 18,
1970 in Pontiac, Mi. to Betty Ruth Tilley Wolford of Ransom, Ky., and
the late Ronald Wolford. He was also preceded in death by one sister; Rhonda Caudill.
He was a disabled and a member of the Assembly of Gods Faith Church.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife; Donna Jean Phillips Wolford of Belfry, Ky.; one son; Joshua Lee Wolford of Belfry, Ky., one daughter; Brittany
Racine Wolford Smith of Williamson, W.V., two brothers; Mark Wolford of Stone, Ky., and
David Wolford of Stone, Ky., one sister; Kathy Jean Phillips of Ransom, Ky., and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Friday July 6, 2012 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Jim Ed Whitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Tilley Cemetery, Ransom, Ky.
with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Thursday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 P.M.
