Rudolph Ireland Stepp, 94, of Sidney, KY. departed this life on July
14, 2015.
He was born September 1, 1920, at Heisey, KY. He was the son of the
late Ireland and Annie (Kennedy) Stepp. He was preceded in death by
two sisters; Thelma and Ethel Mae; six brothers, Mont, Charles, Irvin,
David, Jonah and Oscar; one half-sister, Sophie; three half-brothers,
Arlie, Carlie and Ira and a great granddaughter, Alexa Deskins. Surviving
is one sister, Doris Green of Sidney, KY.
Rudolph was a retired foreman from the Pike County Board of Education transportation department. He was the oldest living member and trustee emeritus of the Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church, at Sidney, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ann (Gugelchuk) Stepp; three children, Geraldine
(William) Akers of Sidney, KY, Patsy (Don) Gibson of Hatfield, Ky., and Jerry Stepp of Sidney, Ky; five grandchildren, Melissa (John) Marcum of Sidney, Ky., Greg (Lisa) Gibson of
Ivel, Ky., Suzanne (James) Byrd of Pineville, WV, William Rudolph (Gina) Akers of Irvine,
Ky., and Vera Deskins of Williamson, WV; seven great-grandchildren; Christian Tyler Marcum, Cailee Marcum, Shaina Deskins, Anna Deskins all of Sidney, KY, Alexis Gibson and Jacob Gibson of Ivel, KY and Addison Akers of Irvine, KY.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15th, from 6 - 9 PM at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home in
Belfry, KY.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 16th at 11 AM also at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home. The Reverend William E. Akers will officiate. Interment will follow at the Mountain
View Memory Gardens, at Huddy, KY. The pallbearers will consist of Greg Gibson, Don Gibson, Rudy Akers, John Marcum, Christian Tyler Marcum and James Bryrd. The honorary pallbearers will include Paul Gene Williamson, Fonso Bogar, Jerry Stepp, Ricky Skeens, Frank
Gugelchuk, Shann Stepp, Rick Green, Claude Smith, Clarence Smith and his brothers and sisters in Christ at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the building fund of Mt.
Zion Freewill Baptist Church in memory of Rudolph. These can be placed in care of the church
by mailing to PO Box 236, Sidney, Ky. 41564.

Rufus Bostic, 93, of Belfry, Ky., went to his heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on July 14, 2015, at ARH Skilled Nursing Facility.
He was born at John's Creek, Ky. on September 22, 1921, to Ella Varney Bostic and Leonard Bostic who preceded him in death. He was also
preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Edna Bostic; one daughter, Judi
Wallace; one granddaughter, Mikerry Stanley; six brothers, Claude, Floyd,
Clyde, John, Henry, George and one sister, Marie Adams.
He is survived by one son, Buddy (Diane) Bostic of Pikeville, KY and
five daughters, Marilyn Bostic of Belfry, KY, Sharon (Mike) Kline, Susan
(Mike) Stanley both of Goody, KY, Sandy (Rodney) Brewer of Huddy,
KY, Audrann (Michael) Brewer of Nolan, WV and son-in-law, Gordon Wallace of Belo, WV.
He is also survived by one brother, W.L. (Lucy) Bostic of Williamson, WV and one sister,
Quinnie Workman of Kokomo, IN; thirteen grandchildren, Devonna (Keith) Stratton, Robyn
(Alan) Bays, Chastity (Joe) Woolf, Cherona (Richard) Owens, Mikila (James) Carroll, Gordi
(Star) Wallace, Leslie (Daniel) Carter, Ashlie (John) Yates, Kristin (Matt) DeBoard, Cliff (Angie) Wallace, Beth (Jonathan) Wright, Ryan Bostic and Robbi-Ann Brewer. He also leaves behind 20 beloved great-grandchildren, a very special friend, Joanna Copley and a host of loving
family and friends.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved having his family
around him. He was a self-employed trucker and owner of Bostic's Trucking Co. He was a
World War II Army veteran and a Kentucky Colonel. After his retirement, he dedicated his time
to working in his garden. He was a member of the Chattaroy Missionary Baptist Church and a
former member and deacon of the Stone Baptist Church.
Services will be held Friday, July 17, at 1 PM at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with
his brother, Pastor W. L. Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at the Bostic Family Cemetery at
Coburn Point, Huddy, KY, with his granddaughters serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, from 6 - 9 PM at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

Catherine Anne King Barker, 51, of Turkey Creek, KY, passed away
Thursday July 16, 2015, at her residence.
She was born January 11, 1964, at South Williamson, KY the daughter
of Joe and Peggy King of Forest Hills, KY.
She was a former billing clerk at the Williamson Memorial Hospital
and had worked for the Discover Card in Columbus, Ohio.
Other than her parents she is survived by her children, Courtney Barker and Allison Barker both of Columbus, Ohio; siblings, Libby King of
Lexington, KY, Tommy King of Speedwell, TN, Cheryl Andrew of
Springboro, Ohio and Freddy King of Lawrenceburg, KY; grandchildren,
Nathan and Jacob Lee of Columbus, Ohio and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 20, 2015, at 11 AM in the Sacred Heart Catholic
Church with Father Thomas Chacko officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View
Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY. Pallbearers will be Jerry Hurley, Herbie Dotson, Charles Hult,
Brian King and Michael Vance.
Visitation will be held on Saturday and Sunday night from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Rosary services will be recited at 7 PM on Sunday evening.

Lassie Jean Smith, 83, of Hardy, KY, passed away Friday July 24, 2015, at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Tug Valley Regional Medical Center.
She was born June 14, 1932, at Ransom, KY, to the late Clayton and Lida Hatfield Smith.
She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Jane Smith and Sally Smith.
She had worked at G. C. Murphy, SS Kresgels and the Dollar General Store.
She is survived by her brothers, Landon Smith of Louisa, KY, Ballard Smith of Hardy, KY,
and Clayton Smith Jr., of Wixon, MI; one sister, Marie Busman of Dayton, OH; niece, Barbara
Sue Holyfield of Walled Lake, MI and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, July 27, 2015, at R. E. Rogers Funeral
Home with Lee Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens,
Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Sunday night at the funeral home.

Lilly Baker Ailiff, 60, of Williamson passed away Friday July 31, 2015, at the residence of
her sister in Chesapeake, OH.
She was born March 9, 1955, at Williamson, WV, to the late Willard and Lou Coleman
Baker. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Luther "Bevo" Baker, Edsel "Pete"
Baker and Woodrow Baker.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Frank C. Ailiff. One son, Richard Keith Baker of North
Carolina, sisters, Virginia Stanley of Pikeville, KY, Zeda (Marvin) Mills of Temperance, MI,
Marie Mull of Columbus, OH, Hilda (Gene) Anderson of Johnson City, TN, Ruth Compton of
Columbus, OH, Anna Blackburn of Hardy, KY, Lottie (Joe) McVey of Ansted, WV, and Nannette Walsh of Chesapeake, OH. One brother, Sam Baker of McVeigh, KY special buddy, Max
and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 PM, Monday, August 3, 2015, at Mountain View
Memory Gardens with Eric Rakes officiating. Burial will follow the service.

Deloris Irene Noe, 70, of Fort Gay, WV, passed away Friday July 31,
2015, at the residence of her sister.
She was born August 31, 1944, at Thacker, WV, to the late Jake and Vesta Mahon Coleman. She is also preceded in death by her daughters, Debra Irene Noe and Carolynn Noe, sisters, Shirley Burton, Brenda Dillon and Darlene Curry and one brother, Bobby Coleman.
She was a dietitian at Trinity Healthcare and a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by three daughters, Louise Smith of Williamson, WV,
Barbara Kay Diamond of Chattaroy, WV, and Leigh Ann Noe of Fort Gay,
WV. Sisters, Dalphine Slone of Lucasville, OH, Joann Burton of Matewan, WV, Vernetta Cline
of Fort Gay, WV, and Lorretta Savage of Williamson, WV. Brothers; John L. Coleman of OH,
and Charles Coleman of Red Jacket, WV. Five grandchildren, David Noe, Samantha Noe, T. J.
Diamond, Bruce Dillon and Marsha Stacy and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM, Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Earl White officiating.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday night at the funeral home.

Mary "Mag"aline Hatfield Dotson, age 96, of Ransom, KY went
to her heavenly home on August 4, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. at Pikeville
Medical Center.
She was born on October 18, 1918, however she celebrated her
birthday as November 12. We were blessed that she was born to the
late Albert and Elzie Hatfield also of Ransom, KY.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. She
was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis Dotson,
whom she loved so very much and celebrated 68 years together. Her
sons, infant son Larry Gilford, Charles "BoJo", Wendell "Wilkie" and
Eugene Dotson. Her daughter in law, Shirley West Dotson, whom she thought of as her own,
and her grandson, Clinton "Little Butch" McCoy.
She is survived by her sons, Burl (Glenna Mae) and Dwight (Kelley) Dotson of Ransom, Ky.
Her daughters, Helen Dotson, Lola Mae McCoy, Gail (Eugene) Gibbs all of Ransom, Ky. and
Janet Flo (Larry) Scott of Whitesburg, KY. Her grandson Joey Dotson made his home with her,
and she thought of him as her own, her "Joe". Her daughter-in-laws, Martha Dotson of Ransom,
KY and Margaret "Annie" Dotson of Bristol, TN, also survive. She had 21 Grandchildren, 33
Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren whom she loved dearly and thought of all
of them as her own. She is also survived by her sister, Beatrice Hager of Ransom, Ky.
She was a member of the Samaria Primitive Baptist Church for 65 years and the oldest active senior at the Blackberry/McCarr Senior Citizens. She loved going to church and seeing all
her church family and worshipping The Lord. She loved her Jesus. She lived everyday of her
life to visit her friends and family at the senior center. She looked forward to going each week.
She participated until 2014 in the senior games and won several gold medals. She also loved her
family and anyone that came to visit her. She made sure that you were fed before you left. She
always said, she loved everybody and that was what it was all about, Love, and it showed cause
lots of people would call her their second mommy. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Samaria Primitive
Baptist Church with Shawn Dotson, Jeff Dotson, Paul Varney and Other Primitive Baptist Elders officiating. Burial will follow at Willie Jake Hager Cemetery, Ransom, KY, with her
Grandsons, Jerry Dotson, Duane "Archie" Dotson, Chad Dotson, Van Gibbs, Dennis Gibbs,
Mitchell Scott and Joey Doston and her grandson-in-law, Billy Yates serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 3 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015, at Samaria Primitive Baptist Church
with special services at 7 PM.
