Curtis Bell, 79, of Cynthiana, KY, formerly of Belfry, KY, Loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday November 25, 2011 at his residence in Cynthiana.
He was born December 20, 1931 in McCreary County, KY, to the late Lora and Salena Coffee Bell. He is also preceded in death by three sisters; Shirley Bell, Neiman Cox and Grace Turnbolt.
He was a retired coal miner of 42 years from Island Creek Coal Company, a member of the UMWA, a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Belfry, KY, and a current member of Union Baptist Church of Cynthiana, Ky.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years; Glendine Hatfield Bell of Cynthinan, KY, son; Gregory Bell of Lexington, KY, grandchildren; Lisa (David) Bell Strunk of Lexington, KY, and Gregory Scott Bell of Richmond, KY, great grandchildren; Adam and Caleb Strunk, siblings; Gladys Hunter of Indiana, Mornie (Mike) Thomas of Indiana, Carol (Travis) Hackney of Tenn. Judy (Stirl) Hatfield of McCarr, KY, Ruby (Larry) Little of Ohio, Kenneth (Janet) Bell of Ohio and Vernon Bell of Ohio., and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday November 28, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Brother Mark Helton and Brother Arnold Kiser officiating.
Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Neil "Bud" Wilson Rose Jr. 59, of Sharondale, KY, passed away Saturday November 26, 2011 at Pike Medical Center.
He was born October 10, 1952 in South Williamson, KY to the late Neil Wilson Rose Sr. and Lucille "Luddie" Evans Rose. He is also preceded in death by his daughter; Crystal Dawn Rose and granddaughter; Chasity Dawn Anderson.
He was a retired coal miner, a member of the American Legion and of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife; Paula Marie Ray, children; Victoria Ann (Anthony) Lane of Gate City, Va., Anthony Neil Rose of Virginia, Timmy Lee Rose of Sharondale, KY, Linda Smith of Sidney, KY, Angel Grimett of Matewan, W.V., Jonathan Cook of Williamson, W.V. and Gary Michael Rose Jr. of Blackberry, KY, brother; Gary (Wanda Lee) Rose of Sharondale, KY, sister; Irene (Roy) Hylton of McCarr, KY, special cousin; Elmer Kevish of Forest Hills, KY, thirteen grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday November 30, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday and Tuesday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 PM Tuesday night with Buddy Kendrick officiating.

Daniel Allen Cline Jr., 49, of South Williamson, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at his residence.
He was born February 12, 1962 at Mullins, WV the son of the late Daniel Allen Cline and survived by his mother; Doris Cline Wingler of Williamson WV and his step-father; Burl Lester Jr. of Williamson, WV
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Elby.
He was a former coal miner and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Besides his Mother he is survived by a daughter, Danielle (Daniel) Bow of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Carolyn (Roby) Lyons of Hatfield, Ky. and Veleda (David) Marcum of Hatfield, Ky.; two grandchildren, Jesse Allen Bow and Cloey Elizabeth Bow and a third grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 1 PM at the Lynco Freewill Baptist Church, Lynco, WV with Jay Blankenship and William Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Cline Family Cemetery, Sun Hill, WV with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Friday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with special services at 7 PM with Buddy Kendrick and after 1 PM Saturday at the Lynco Freewill Baptist Church in Lynco, WV with special services at 7 PM with Jay Blankenship and William Cook.

Thelma Marie Thacker, beloved wife and mother, 66, of Hardy, KY, passed away Thursday December 1, 2011 at her residence.
She was born February 28, 1945 at Williamson, WV to the late William and Alice West Adkins. She is also preceded in death by two sisters; Margaret Gibson and Jean Footo.
She was retired from the U. S. Bank after 34 years at Johns Creek and South Williamson branches. She was baptized at the East End Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; Donald Thacker, daughter; Belinda Elswick of Knoxville, TN, step-daughter; Rita McGuire of Belfry, Ky, step-sons; Ray (Norma) Thacker of Hardy, Ky. and Terry (Judy) Thacker of Inez, KY, Nana's sweethearts; Olivia and Aubrey Lynch, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sister; Sue Runyon of Mentor, Ohio., brothers; Bill (Ann) Adkins of South Williamson, Ky and Warner (Nancy) Adkins of Redford, MI, special nieces; Tabitha Elswick Lynch, Melissa Quizenbeury, Freda Gibson and Joyce Phillips, and also survived by a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Sunday December 4, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Bob Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Saturday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 PM with Bob Norman officiating.

Raymond Justice, 76, of Pinsonfork, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky.
Born March 30, 1935 at Red Jacket, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Eldie and Bracie (Abshire) Justice. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magdeline (O'Brien)) Justice.
Raymond was employed by the Pike County Board of Education for forty four years as a Teacher; He also taught Adult Basic Education at Southern Community College for 25 years; and at Pikeville College and Morehead State University. He was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by one son; Raymond (Bethany) Justice Jr. of Hindman, KY, one daughter; Felicia (Wendell) Justice Varney of Pinsonfork, KY, one brother; Quincy (Barbara) Justice of Pulaski, TN., two sisters; Melita Cool of Huddy, KY, and Anita Duncil of Titusville, FL. three grandchildren; Austin Dotson, Camron Justice and Caleb Justice and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M., Monday, December 5, 2011 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 P.M. Sunday night at the funeral home with special services at 7 P.M.

David Maynard, 73, of Stone, KY, passed way Tuesday morning, December 6, 2011 at his residence.
He was born March 26, 1938 at Chattaroy, WV the son of the late Millard and Annie Bowen Maynard. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Maynard and several infant brothers and sisters.
He was a retired salesman from the Armour Meat Company and attended the First Baptist Church of Belfry.
Survivors include his wife, Joann May Maynard of Stone, Ky.; two daughters, Dlorah (Jeff) Handy of Pinsonfork, Ky. and Regina Maynard of Asia; son, Michael David (Julie) Maynard of Stone, Ky.; five grandchildren, Adam Handy, Trevor Michael Maynard, Kelly (Steve) Mahon, Lexie Facemyre and Annie Facemyre and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 1 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mark Helton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY with Jeff Handy, Michael Maynard, Adam Handy, Terry Webb and Chris Fite serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held after 6 PM Thursday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

Vada Salmons Childress, 83 of Pinsonfork, KY, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Mountain View Healthcare Center, Elkhorn City, Ky.
She was born January 23, 1928 at Sharondale, Ky. the daughter of the late Melvin and Edna Lee Barbour Varney. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Salmons and second husband, Robert Childress, three brothers, Tommy, Jack and Melvin Varney and one sister, Edith Smith.
Vada was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Pinsonfork Church of God, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was a member of the Women's Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline (Arch) Runyon of Pinsonfork, Ky.; sister, Alice Nakamura of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-laws, Leona McCall and Augustine Varney both of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Beth Bevins and Chris (Angela) Runyon; great grandchildren, Christy (Jonathan) Browning, Matthew Estep, Jacob Adair, Joseph Adair, Sarah Runyon and Seth Runyon; great great grandchildren, Melissa Estep and Matt Estep and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 12 Noon at the Pinsonfork Church of God with Rev. Rick Hisle and Rev. David Kilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky. with Matthew Estep, Matt Estep, Chris Runyon, Seth Runyon, Jacob Adair, Joseph Adair and Randall Cantrell serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Eric Hubbard, Terry Richardson, Tim Williamson, Kenneth Williamson, Dean Tony, Charles Runyon, Fred Varney, Jonathan Browning and Bruce Coley.
Visitation will be held from 6 till 9 PM Friday, December 9, 2011 at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

Dennis Wilson (Keymaker) Pinson, 62, of Stone, KY, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in the Emergency Room of the Appalachian Regional Hospital.
He was born November 25, 1949 at Williamson, W.V. to the late Woodrow Wilson and Betty Slone Pinson. He is also preceded in death by his daughter; Sherry Lynn Pinson.
He was a retired from Pike County Fiscal Court, former park manager at Grants Branch Park and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife; Judy McCown Pinson of Stone, KY, two daughters; Denise (Ron) Cundiff of Stone, KY, and Ashley Nichole Pinson of the home. sister; Beth Jones of McAndrews, KY, three grandchildren; Brittany Cundiff (Cody Roblee) of Belfry, KY, Brandon Cundiff of Stone, KY, and Katlyn Cundiff of Stone, KY, two great grandchildren; Caden and Jordyn Roblee of Belfry, KY, and a host of loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with John Wellman and Chad Hackney officiating. Burial will follow at Pinson Cemetery, Rockhouse, KY, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 6 PM Thursday and Friday night at the funeral home with special services 7 PM Friday with Rick Preece officiating.
