Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Golas
Helen L. Golas, 81, of Marion, died Dec. 21, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital. She was the owner of Antiques on Main Street in Marion.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Oswald of Clinton Township, Mich., Sandra Sloan of Diamond City, Ark., and Paula Collins of Marion; a son, Dennis Stegall of Houghton Lake, Mich.; a brother, Leck Gillim of Marion; a sister, Clara Allen of Lutz, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Dec. 26 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating.

Cowan
Melba "Meb" Cowan, 83, of Marion, died Dec. 25, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital. Funeral services were Dec. 28 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Bro. Geoffrey Deibler officiating. Burial was in Pythian Ridge Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Judith Cowan of Marion; a daughter, Mary Lou Sizemore of Marion; a son, Harry Lee Cowan of Sturgis; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Walker
Courtney "Dude" Walker, 78, of Marion, died Dec. 23, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital. He was a World War II veteran and was retired from Hansen Aggregates.
Surviving are three sons, Courtney Ray Walker of Walterboro, S.C., Bradley Alan Walker and Michael Lynn Walker, both of Marion; two sisters, Dorothy of Dawson Springs and Lucille of Marion; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Walker, and a grandson, Joey Capps.
Funeral services were Dec. 27 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. Rev. Darrell Clarke officiated. Burial was in Rosebud Cemetery.

Johnson
TILINE, Ky. ­ Raleigh "Dinks" Johnson, 86, died Dec. 25, 2004 at Calvert City Convalescent Center. He was retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation, was a U.S. Navy veteran, a retired farmer in Tiline and a member of Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Dec. 28 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland. Rev. Allen Jones and Rev. Russell Joiner officiated. Burial was in Groves Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Edith Mae Hudson Johnson; a son, Keith Johnson of Symsonia; a daughter, Carolyn Tracy of Tiline; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; a great-granddaughter; and his parents, Rube and Mae Devers Johnson.

Tipton
NEW ORLEANS, La. ­ Jewell Elizabeth Paris Tipton, 99, died Dec. 22, 2004 at her home.
She was a retired seamstress, past queen of the Golden Agers Mardi Gras Ball, a member of the 50-plus Golden Agers Club and a member of the Luthern Ladies Guild for the Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Surviving are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Tipton, Sr.; two sisters, Wanda Lee Tipton DiGiovanni and Anita Tipton Krekel; and a son, John W. Tipton, Jr. Her parents were Charles Henry Paris and Mary Letitia Conger.
Services will be held in New Orleans Dec. 30 at Tharp Funeral Home at 600 Moss Street, New Orleans. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, La.

Riley
Helen Ann "Angela" Riley, 58, of Marion, died Dec. 16, 2004 at Western Baptist Hospital
She was a member of Indiana Presbyterian Church, in Vincennes, Ind., and attended Barnett Chapel General Baptist Church. She was employed by the Kentucky State Police, Henderson Emergency 911 and Marion City Police.
Funeral services were Dec. 19 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Pruitt, and Rev. David Winders officiating. Pallbearers were Henry Bobe, Bill Bobe, Robert Bobe, Bill Atkinson, Daryle Riegle and Martin Dreiman. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband Rickey D. Riley, Crittenden Co. Jailer; a son, Airman First Class James D. Riley, stationed in Ramstein, Germany; one aunt and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Wilma Atkinson Hedge.

Springs
SALEM, Ky. - Funeral services for Norman Anthony "Tony" Springs, 39, were Dec. 19 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Timothy Fouts officiated. Burial was in Lola Cemetery.
Springs died Dec. 14, 2004 at Lourdes Hospital.
Surviving are his father, Norman Springs; his mother, Irma Springs; and a brother, James Timothy Springs, all of Salem; two daughters, Tessala Moon Springs of Reidland, Laken Danielle Springs of Sharp; and two sons, Kye River Springs of Reidland and Chandler Springs of Eddyville.

Orenduff
Timothy Mark Orenduff, 38, of San Francisco, Calif., and formerly of Marion, died Dec. 12, 2004 at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco.
Funeral services were Dec. 21 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. James Gray officiating. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Ann and Ray Holloman of Marion; his father and step-mother, T.W. and Judy Orenduff of Hardin; a brother, Tom Orenduff of Joy; three sisters, Clara Spurlock, Barbara Wilson and Merri Seals, all of Illinois; and several step-brothers and step-sisters.
He was preceded in death by his grand parents; Olga and Ernest Hopper and Russell and Mima Jones.

Littlepage
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Funeral services for Beulah Littlepage, 74, were Dec. 15, 2004 at Browning Funeral Home. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Littlepage died Dec. 10. She was born in Marion and graduated from Marion High School.
Surviving are her mother, Katie Belt Hodge of Evansville; a daughter, Cathy Hoke of Evansville; two sons, Rick Littlepage of Indianapolis and Keith Littlepage of Michigan; two sisters, Mary Meek of Nashville and Ann Clifton of Clarksville, Tenn; twin brothers, Ronnie Wells of Sullivan and Donnie Wells of California; a half brother, Larry Hodge of Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Brenda Barnett of Evansville; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She is survived locally by a first cousin, Barry Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Claude.

Golas
Helen Golas, owner of Antiques on Main Street in Marion, died Dec. 21, 2004 at Crittenden Hospital.
Arrangements are incomplete at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Tindell
EVANSVILLE, Ind. ­ Pam Tindell, 38, died Dec. 14, 2004 in a car accident in Evansville. Funeral services were Dec. 18 at Browning Funeral Home. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Don Tindell; two daughters, Amber Tindell and Alexis Tindell; a son, Noah Tindell; her mother, Judy (Gilbert) McDowell of Evansville; and a sister, Angela Mills-Roberts of Owensville, Ind.; and an uncle, Barry Gilbert of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles E. McDowell; and her grandparents, Edith and Elliott McDowell and Anna and Crawford Gilbert.

Scott
Bethany B. Scott, 55, of Marion, died Dec. 21, 2004 at Crittenden County Care Center.
Funeral services are Dec. 23 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Sister Judy Warren and Rev. Tim Fouts officiating. Burial is in Mapleview Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter Beth Hackney of Marion; a son, Eugene McKinney of Smithland; three sisters, Dorothy Langdon and Sue Pangman of Paducah, and Peggy Anderson of Joppa Ill.; two brothers, Randall Baker and Reedie Baker of Sharp; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bethany Baker; 2 sisters, Nyoka Baker and Beulah May Perchez; and one brother John Frank Baker.
