Kentucky Marriage Records by County

Nesbitt
Summer Jo Nesbitt, 23, of Marion, passed away March 16, 2005. She was a 2000 graduate of Crittenden County High School.
Surviving are her mother, Patsy Nesbitt of Marion; her stepfather, Joe Nesbitt of Marion; her father, Ron Grimes of Salem; a daughter, Kyonna White of Marion; a sister, Rachel Tabor of Marion; a stepsister, Miranda Grimes of Cincinnati, Ohio; maternal grandparents Ray and Ann Holloman and Sandra Holloman, all of Marion; and paternal grandparents Don and Geraldine Grimes of Salem.
Services were March 19 at Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. James Gray officiating. Burial was in White's Chapel Cemetery.

Hamilton
TAYLORSVILLE, Ill. - Jay Evan Hamilton, 43, passed away March 5, 2005 at his home when he was crushed by a tall wrought iron light post. He was project manager for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. He was the son-in-law of Pamala Smiley Eaton of Metropolis, Ill., and the grandson-in-law of Dorothy Norma Smiley of Paducah, both former residents of Salem.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Eaton Hamilton of Springfield; and 15-month-old triplets, Cole, Caleb and Clare; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hamilton of Moweaqua, Ill.; a sister, Lea Ann Oelfke; and a grandmother.
Burial was in Decatur, Ill.

Decker
Funeral services for Neoval L. Decker, 90, of Marion, will be held at 11 a.m., March 17, 2005 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Garvey and Rev. Russ Davidson will officiate. Burial will be in Dycusburg Cemetery.
Decker passed away March 15 at Crittenden Hospital. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonita Davidson of Marion; a granddaughter, Robyn Taylor of Marion; a grandson, Russ Davidson of Salem, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren, Lynsey Taylor of Marion and Cori Davidson of Salem, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell A. Decker; and a son, Ricky Decker. Her parents were Whorton and Ella Ferguson.

Yates
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - James C. Yates, 82, passed away March 13, 2005 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Marion.
He was a veteran of World War II and worked in the parts department with Rockwell International in California for 29 years and attended Gospel Tabernacle Church.
He is survived by a son, Richard Yates of Mission Viejo, Calif.; a daughter, Connie Whetstone of Peoria, Ariz.; and four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mattox-Wood Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Loyd
PADUCAH, Ky. - Gertrude Loyd, 90, passed away March 6, 2005 at Western Baptist Hospital. She owned Paducah Starter and Generator and was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynann Woodall of Marion; four sons, Bill Loyd Jr., of Cullman, Ala., and Kenneth Loyd, Charles Loyd and Alan Loyd, all of Paducah; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Loyd; a son, Ronald Loyd; four brothers; and three sisters. Her parents were J.T. and Josephine Rucks.
Services were March 8 at St. Francis de Sales. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery March 8.

Nelson
George E. "G.E." Nelson, 72, of Marion passed away March 14, 2005 in Clay.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Louise Nelson of Marion; and two nieces, Alma Dalton of Marion and Ernestine Love of Ledbetter.
His parents were George Ernest and Verna Newcom Nelson.
Services were March 16 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Grace officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.

Whitt
RICHMOND, Ky. - Willie Clark Whitt, 86, passed away March 11, 2005 at Telford Terrace in Richmond. She was a graduate of Lancaster High School and Western Kentucky University and was a home economics teacher in Hebron, Ky. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she was a deacon and was active in ladies circles. She was a member of the Homemakers Club, the WBCCI Airstream Club and had been instrumental in organizing the Pink Ladies.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, A.L. Whitt, Jr.; two sons, Clark Lewis Whitt of Key West, Fla., and William B. Whitt of Richmond; a daughter, Sandra Mushkat of Cincinnati; a brother, H.B Clark of Bowling Green; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse Clark and Thurman Clark; and two sisters, Doxie Cox and Ruby Ward.
Funeral services were March 14 at First Presbyterian Church in Richmond with Dr. WIlliam R. Young and Rev. Bill Bailey officiating. Burial followed in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Jessamine County.

Lowery
Funeral services for Ollie William "Pete" Lowery, 81, of Tolu, were March 15, 2005 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Rev. Herbert Alexander and Ted Perryman officiated. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Lowery passed away March 12 at his home. He was retired from the circulation department of the Detroit Free Press.
Surviving are a brother, James Herman Lowery of Bellevue, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ardell "Happy" Lowery; and three brothers. His parents were Dr. Ollie T. and Jennie Houston Lowery.

Highfil
Virginia Lou "Pert" Highfil, 91, of Marion, passed away March 13, 2005 at Livingston Hospital. She was the oldest, active member of Mexico Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Padgett of Marion; two sons, Tommy Highfil and Hugh Highfil, both of Marion; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Highfil; a daughter, Shari McDaniel; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services were March 15 at Mexico Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Travis and Rev. Tim Burdon officiating. Burial was in Mexico Cemetery.

Walker
Helen Walker, 97, passed away March 10, 2005 at New Haven Assisted Living in Marion. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Riley of Marion and Martha Edmondson of Round Rock, Texas; three grandchildren, Janice Heish of Georgetown, Texas, Andy Walker of Sadyville, Ky., and Mark Walker of Mt. Sterling, Ky; five great-grandchildren; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clyde Walker; and two sons, Charles A. Walker and George R. Walker. Her parents were George M. and Lulu Pickering Crider.
Services were March 14 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cortis Hill and Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial was in Piney Fork Cemetery.

Watson
Louise H. Watson, 83, of Marion, passed away March 9, 2005 at Crittenden County Rehab. She was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Don Watson of Marion; two sons, Bill Allen of New York City, NY and Bob Watson of Brentwood, Tenn.; two daughters, Barbara Roberts of Frostproof, Fla., and Paula Davis of Henderson; two sisters, Julia Gross of San Antonio, Texas and Olive Scott of Sparta, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William C. Allen. Her parents were Kelly and Bertie Herrin.
Funeral services were March 13 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
