Stevens
Elizabeth A. Stevens, 71, of Crayne, passed away March 21, 2007 at her home. She was a member of Mexico Baptist Church, the Morning Glories Homemaker Club, 35-year member and former state treasurer of the Kentucky Extension Homemaker Association, Crittenden County Fair Exhibit Superintendent for 25 years, and award winner for volunteer service including state “Friend of Extension and 4-H Alumni” award.
Surviving are a daughter, Beth Todd of Marion Joan Hargis of Slidell, La.; two sons, John V. Sanders, Jr., of Madisonville; a son, William Sanders of Crayne; a brother, Perry Brookshire, Jr., of Marion; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Mitchell Brookshire and Perry Brookshire, Sr.
A memorial service was held March 25 at Mexico Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Brock officiating. Myers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mexico Baptist Church Building Fund, Crayne Cemetery Fund or Crittenden County 40-H.

Weldon
NEWBURGH, Ind. – Louise Cook Weldon, 78, formerly of Marion, passed away March 23, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Kay Reasor of Newburgh; two brothers, Percy Cook of Marion and Joe Cook of Vincennes, Ind.; three sisters, Janet St. Clair of Owensboro, Doris Brantley of Marion and Martha Kirk of Dawson Springs; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, I.W. and Harpye Cook, Sr.; a sister, Lena Ruth Walden; two brothers, Austin Cook and I.W. Cook,, Jr.
Services were at 10 a.m., March 28 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Garvey officiating. Burial was in Mapleview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 333 Guthrie St., Suite 207, Louisville, KY 40202 or to In His Hands Humane Society in Crittenden County.

Woodall
SMITHLAND, Ky. – Brenda Woodall, 59, passed away March 15, 2007 at Livingston Hospital.
Surviving are her husband, John Woodall; two daughters, Teresa Shuecraft and Lisa Holloman, both of Salem; a son, Keith Woodall of Smithland; two sisters, Donna Croft of Paducah and Joann Thompson of Knoxville, Tenn.; four brothers, Billy Watson, Jimmy Watson, Johnny Watson, all of Marion, and Mike Watson of Middleton, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Woodall, Jr., and her parents, George and Willa Belle Watson.
Services were March 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hardesty officiating. Burial was in Crayne Cemetery.

Harris
SALEM, Ky. – Bro. Jack “June Bug” Harris, 70, passed away March 19 at Livingston Hospital. He was a retired minister and member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sammie Jewel Harris; a daughter, Kara A. Harris of Providence; two sisters, Billie L. (William “Sonny”) Travis of Providence and Margaret H. Smith of Clay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer “Jack” Harris and Hattie Beatrice Glore Harris; and four brothers, Thomas Harris, Milburn “Bug” Harris, Elmer “Toby” Harris and Carrol “Chubby” Harris.
Services will be at 11 a.m., March 22 at Myers Funeral Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Keeling officiating. Burial will be in Rosebud Cemetery.

Lanham
WEIRSDALE, Fla. – Duke Lanham, 100, formerly of Marion, passed away March 16, 2007 in Leesburg, Fla.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m., March 23 at Union Cemetery. Gilbert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lanham is survived by two daughters, Faye Shaw of Weirsdale and Donna Kanopsky of Livonia, Mich.; a sister, Laverne Davidson of Lincoln Park, Mich.; six grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lanham.

Hughes
PRINCETON, Ky. – Burnace Hughes, 76, passed away March 9, 2007 at Princeton Health and Rehab Center following a long illness.
He attended St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was a retired machine operator of Special Metals. He is survived by his wife, Ledley Lee Hughes of Princeton; one son, Thomas Hughes of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Lorna Hollowell of Owensboro and Terry McDonald of Evansville; two step-sons, Byron Boyd and Quentin Boyd, both of Princeton; one brother, Garland Hughes of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Thelma Momon of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Bertha Copeland of Princeton; his mother-in-law, Ann Lee of Morganfield; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Kenneth Hughes and Robert Douglas Hughes. His parents were Lacy Hughes and Narcissia Mills Hughes.
Services were March 16 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. Oscar Powell. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Hazzard
Roy Hazzard, 81, of Marion, passed away March 18, 2007 at Crittenden Hospital.
Survivors include his daughter, Pearl Swift of Eddyville; a son, Franklin Hazzard of Princeton; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Hodge and Patricia Wilson, both of Marion; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Hazzard.
Services were March 20 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Rev. Roy Little, Rev. David Winders and Rev. David Vannatter officiated.

Bruce
MORTON’S GAP, Ky. – Lois Bruce, 71, formerly of Crittenden County, passed away March 19, 2007 at Regional Medical Center. She was a retired emblem assembly line worker at Shawnee Plastics. She was a member of Suwanee Furnace Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Gina Groves of Nortonville; three sisters, Mary June Shaffer of Princeton, Norma “Penny” Rice of Hamilton, Ohio and Dorothy Foster of Salem; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Odell Fletcher and Wayne Fletcher; her husband, Jewell Bruce. Her parents were Claud Fletcher and Vada Oliver Fletcher.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., March 22 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. J. Bill Jones officiating. Burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery.

Tracy
PADUCAH, Ky. – Graveside services for Shirley G. Tracy, 60, will be held March 24, 2007 at Leeper Cemetery in Livingston County. Rev., Chad Morreau will officiate.
Tracy passed away March 19 at Western Baptist Hospital.
She is survived by a son, Bruce Tracy of Mayfield; two brothers, Robert Black and John Black, both of England; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Tracy; and two sons, John Tracy and William Tracy.
Memorial contributions may be made to McCracken County Humane Society, 4000 Coleman Rd., Paducah, KY 42001; or to the American Cancer Society, 33140 Parisa Dr., Paducah, KY 42003.
Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Worthington
SALEM, Ky. – Patsy A. Worthington, 66, passed away March 16, 2007 at Livingston Hospital. She was of Baptist faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Ronda Barbee of Baytown, Texas; two sons, Ray Worthington of Montrose, Colo., and Terry R. Worthington of Evansville; and several grandchildren.
There will be no local services. Boyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Barnes
SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – Beulah Mae Barnes, 88, of Springfield, Tenn., formerly of Salem, passed away March 7, 2007 at Oakwood Nursing Home in Lewisburg, Tenn. She attended Greenbrier United Methodist Church in Greenbrier, Tenn.
Survivors include a son, Wayne (Sandra) Barnes of Shelbyville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Andrea Hatfield of Barren Plains, Tenn., and Thomas (Terri) Barnes of Gulfport, Miss.; and one great-grandchild, Hayley Hatfield of Barren Plains, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Barnes; five brothers and two sisters. Her parents were William Utly and Ida Belle Shirley Stubblefield.
Services were held March 10 at Boyd Funeral Home with burial in Tyner’s Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Mike Grimes officiated.
