Jennings

BURNA, Ky. – Carl C. Jennings, 73, passed away Jan. 21, 2007 at Livingston Hospital. Services were j\Jan. 24 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Wring officiating. Burial was in Hampton Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary June Jennings; two daughters, Darlene Adams of Blackford and April Guthrie of Evansville; a stepson, Ron Nall of Paducah; two stepdaughters, Denise Bebout of Salem and Carla Holeman of Corbin; two brothers, J.O. Jennings of Ledbetter and Claude Jennings of Hampton; five sisters, Mina Gainey of Ledbetter, Dorothy Durkot of Hampton, Rachel Adwell and Bertine Young, both of Salem, and Suzie Robertson of Princeton; three grandchildren; and six step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Jennings; a brother; and his parents, William and Gertrude Johnson Jennings.

Hall

SMITHLAND, Ky. – Funeral services for Doris Hall, 74, will be at 11 a.m., Jan. 25, 2007 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland. Rev. Kerry Crowl will officiate with burial in Cothran Cemetery.
Hall passed away Jan. 22.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Gonzalez of Smithland; a son, Donnie Owens of Smithland; a brother, Davis Hughie Hall of Chicago; four sisters, Maxine Paris, Katherine Rednour and Mamie Jones, all of Smithland, and Edna Mae Ramage of Ledbetter; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Howard and Gertrude Hall.

Linzy

EVANSVILLE, Ky. – Jerry E. Linzy, 83, passed away Jan. 19, 2007 at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.
He was born in Crittenden Count, served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He was a Mason and member of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky F.& A.M. He was also a member of the Eugene Pate American Legion Post No. 265 and a lifelong Republican. He was superintendent of Vanderburgh County Highway Department when he retired in 1985.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Ethel Campbell Linzy; a daughter, Lana Linzy Baker; a son, Jerry A. Linzy; three sisters, Betty Young and Mary LeFan, both of Marion, and Juanita Green of Eddyville; a brother, Lafe Linzy of Marion; two grandsons, Chad D. Linzy and Anthony “Tony” Goffinet; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Linzy and Hoover Linzy; a sister, Catherine; and his parents, Ray and Vada Linzy.
Services were Jan. 23, 2007 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Dycusburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, 1610 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47714.

Rogers

Robert Rogers, 70, of Marion, passed away Jan. 20, 2007 at Western Baptist Hospital. Services were Jan. 22 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Cortis Hill officiating. Burial was in Piney Fork Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Rogers; two sons, Steve Rogers and Donald Rogers, both of Marion; a daughter, Ann Stewart of Marion; two sisters, Betty Davenport of Missouri and Isabelle Cole of Kansas; a half sister, Debbie Shewcraft of Florida; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mick

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Charles E. Mick, 64, passed away Jan. 12, 2007.
He was born in Owensboro and was a member of the Methodist Church. He was a 1960 graduate of Madisonville High School and a 1967 graduate of Arizona State University where he received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. His career as a navigator led him to service in Japan, Vietnam, Korea and Germany and several stateside bases. After retiring as a Major in 1982, he continued his avid interest in aviation as a pilot and instructor with Flight Safety, Paul Broyhill of Broyhill Furniture, Providence Boston Airlines and Eastern Airlines. Community service included church van service, senior citizens center computer instructor and morale booster and continued serving veterans by providing medical transportation for the Veterans Van Service while living in Clarksville, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Mick; a daughter, Leslie Ellen Morrow of Madisonville; a son, Brian Edward Mick of Reno, Nev.; three grandsons, Nathan Morrow of St. Mary’s, Ga.; Nicholas Morrow of Madisonville; Timothy Mick of Reno; two granddaughters; Brianna and Naomi Mick of Reno; and one great- grandson, Lucas Morrow of St Mary’s, Ga.; two nieces, Allison Evans of Marion and Andrea Mick of Brownsville, Texas; a nephew, Lucas Mick of Marion; and three cousins Doug Morris of St. Louis, Jean Gross of Paducah and Everett Morris of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evers and Lucille Mick, and by his brother Paul Evers Mick, all of Marion.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 20 at Covenant Community Church, Madisonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Relay for Life team of First Christian Church in Madisonville.

Kirk

Hayden Kirk, 74, of Marion passed away Jan. 15, 2007 at his home. He was a retired mechanic and longtime employee of the Crittenden County School District.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Jan. 18 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Mac Dossett and Rev. Nicky Davis officiating. Burial is in Dunn Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Louise Belt Kirk; seven daughters, Juanita Saunders of Gilbertsville, Leshia Lady of Kuttawa, Diana Jo Kirk of Evansville, Renee Cox of Hawkpoint, Mo., Sheila Kolich of Evansville, Susie Murray of Cadiz and Heather Kirk of Marion; a son, Robert Hayden Kirk of Fredonia; 28 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Harold Wayne Kirk; two granddaughters; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. His parents were Joseph and Novella Kirk.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gilbert Funeral Home, 117 W. Bellville St., Marion, KY 42064.

Moxley

Rosa L. Moxley, 74, of Marion, passed away Jan. 16, 2007 at Crittenden County Health and Rehab. She was a member of Atlanta Christian Centre of Atlanta, Ill.
Surviving are three daughters, Geneva Norin of Metropolis, Ill., Patsy Murphy of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Rosemary Teddy of Pleasant Plains, Ill.; a son, Joseph Leon Moxley of Marion; two sisters, Esther Garrett of Marion and Virginia Green of Ferndale, Mich.; three brothers, Vestel Murray and Kenneth Murray, both of Marion, and Richard Murray of Chandler, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Given Moxley; a brother; and her parents, Azle and Mae Lynn Murray.
Services will be Jan. 20 at Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Murray and Rev. Hillis Jones will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Adams

Harlin Daryl Adams, 48, of Marion, passed away Jan. 10, 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Adams; two children, Adam and Autumn Larsen of Fredonia; three brothers, David Joseph Adams of Providence, Nathan Wade Adams and James Eugene Todd, Jr.; three sisters, Lorie Ann Fernandez and Shellie Patrice Jenkins, both of Marion, and Lisa Michelle Holeman of Fredonia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harlin Edward Adams; and two brothers, Raymond Edward Adams and Michael Harrison Adams.

Barnes

SALEM, Ky. – Ruby B. Barnes, 90, passed away Jan. 11, 2007 at Livingston Hospital. She was the oldest member of Pinckneyville Baptist church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher and WMU member.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda (Kenneth) Peterson of Cookeville, Tenn.; a son, Gerald Barnes of Salem; a granddaughter, Karen Peterson of Cookeville; two grandsons, Mark Barnes of Chatsworth, Calif., and Michael Barnes of Nashville; two nieces and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hadley Rudell Barnes; a brother; and three sisters. Her parents were Thomas and Mable Moreland DeBoe.
Services were Jan. 13 at Boyd Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Rice officiating. Burial was in Pinckneyville Cemetery.

Spencer

LEDBETTER, Ky. – Services for Betty Jo Spencer, 72, were Jan. 15, 2007 at Boyd Funeral Home. Rev. John East officiated. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Spencer passed away Jan. 12 at her home. She was of Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Bill Spencer; a daughter, Debbie (Casper) Hosick of Smithland; two sons, Randy Spencer and Steven Spencer, both of Godfrey, Ill.; three sisters, Johnnie Houston of Sparta, Ill., Barbara Boyd of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Peggy Lane of Fenton, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Pat Glendening of Kokomo, Ind.; three brothers, Troy (Pauline) Glendening of Granite City, Ill., Thomas (Shaun) Glendening of Tulsa, Okla., and Bill (Clara) Glendening of Bixby, Okla.; two grandchildren, Chris (Debbie) Hosick of Ledbetter and Jason Hosick of Smithland; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Hosick of Ledbetter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Quinton “Bud” Glendening and Dan Henry Glendening; and a sister, Geraldine Payne. Her parents were John Glendening and Dora N. Bell Glendening.
