Herbert Bounds

Herbert Bounds, age 76, of Leitchfield died Monday, October 18, 2004.

He was born December 3, 1927 in Grayson County as the son of Lucy and Harry Bounds. He was a retired electrician out of Local 369 in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Nell Bounds of Leitchfield; one son, Dennis Bounds of Leitchfield; and two daughters, Leta Bounds and Rita Sanders, both of Leitchfield. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Bounds.

He donated his body to the University of Louisville Medical Science Department.

Tonya Michele Johnson

Tonya Michele Johnson, age 33, of Clarkson, Ky., died Monday, September 6, 2004 at the University Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born November 4, 1970. She was disabled.

She is survived by her mother, JoEtta Johnson of Clarkson; her father, Jerry Johnson of Leitchfield; one brother, Shannon Johnson; one sister, Chasity Johnson; a special angel, Savannah of Leitchfield; a special friend, Shannon Dale Harris of Leitchfield; and paternal grandmother, Fannie Johnson of Clarkson.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Emma Cannon; and her paternal grandfather, Fred Johnson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Rogers-Oller Funeral Home with Bro. David Brown officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

James Robert Priddy, Sr.

James Robert Priddy, Sr., age 86, of Leitchfield, died Thursday, September 30, 2004 at his residence in Leitchfield.

He was born February 26, 1918 in Edmonson County, Ky., as the son of the late Pleasant Pirtle and Emma Phillips Priddy. He was a member of the Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Green County., and was a WWII Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delpha Harp Priddy; and his son, James Robert Priddy, jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Freddy) Wells of Leitchfield; his sister, Margaret Blair of Leitchfield; his granddaughter, Melissa Hawks and grandson, Freddy Wells, both of Hart County. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Spencer, Corbin and Olivia.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 2, 2004 at the Dermitt Funerarl Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Earnie Priddy officiating.

Burial was in the Union Light Cemetery in Edmonson County.

Helen Harris

Helen Harris, age 75, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Providence Nursing Home in New Albany after a long battle with cancer.

She was born May 5, 1929 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a member at Holy Family Catholic Churh in New Albany. She was employed at Brown and Williamson Inc. until 1959 when she became a full time homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Marie Lusk Frisch and her sister Lavonne Bryant.

She is survived by her husband of fifty seven years, Johnie "Red" Harris, of New Albany; two sons, John Michael (Djuana) Harris, of New Albany, Mark (Christine) Harris, of Buckner, MO.; three brothers, Bill (Betty) Frisch, of Colorado Springs, CO., Bob (Francie) Frisch, of Windsor, MO., and Ron (Nancy) Frisch, of Polo, MO.; three sisters, June (Jim) Ratliff, of Kansas City, MO., Joy (Pat) Jones, of Osceola, MO., and Sherry Sue Stone, of Butler, MO.; six grandchildren, Heather Harris, Christopher Harris, Daniel (Jacqui) Brown, Joshua Brown, Elizabeth Harris, and Alaina Harris; two step-grandchildren, Jim (Michelle) Dunham, and Erin Dunham' two great grandchildren, Vanessa Dunham, and Kainoah Diaz-Dunham. Also surviving were several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 17, 2004 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Leitchfield.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Hospice of Southern Indiania or Providence Nursing Home.

William "Buster" Stone Jr.

William "Buster" Stone Jr., age 62, of Goshen, IN., passed away Thursday, September 2, 2004 in Indiana.

He was born on January 11, 1942 in Grayson County, Ky. as the son of William Andrew Stone Sr. and Susan Ada Rankin. He was a retired factory worker.

He is survived by one sister, Mary Aitken of Leitchfield; and one brother, Audra Stone of Michigan. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 6, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Delmar Williams officiating.

Burial was in the Duff Cemetery.

James E. Studer

James E. Studer, age 72, of Big Clifty, Ky. died Tuesday, September 4, 2004, at Greenview Hospital.

He was born August 2, 1932. He was a licensed Master Plumber, and a Minister of New Hope Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Studer of Big Clifty; three sisters, Margie Buchannan of Oklahoma, Joyce Hunter of Texas, and Renee Sperry of Alabama; one brother, W.L. Studer of Missouri; two daughter and son-in-laws, Dena and Billy McCubbin of Leitchfield, and Drenda and Larry Hodge of Big Clifty; granddaughter and grandson in-law, Stephanie and Daniel Priddy of Leitchfield; two granddaughters, Ellie Hodge of Big Clifty and Jennifer McCubbin of Leitchfield; two grandsons, Andy Hodge of Big Clifty and Michael McCubbin of Leitchfield; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gabby, and George Priddy of Leitchfield, Dawson Hayse of Big Clifty, and Logan Bagshaw of Leitchfield. Also surviving are future grandchildren, Kevin Hayse, Jamie Burden, and Ashley Bagshaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Struder and Agnes Garner Struder.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at the Rogers-Oller Funeral with Bro. Gerry Sandusky.

Burial was in the Flatwoods Cemetery in Butler County, Ky.
