Martha Jane Saylor Lyons
May 11, 1938 - May 24, 2017
Martha Jane Saylor Lyons, 79, of Staffordsville, passed away Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 at her home.
Martha was born May 11, 1938 to the late Grant and Bessie Blair. Also, preceding her death is her late husband, Melvin Saylor; three brothers, Manuel, Merkel and Marvin Blair; two sisters, Maggie Saylor and Margaret Burgess; one daughter, Christine Zometa; one special granddaughter, Katlin Elizabeth Daniels.
She is survived by husband, Clarence E. Lyons; three sons Allen (Phyllis) Saylor of Flat Gap, Ray (Crystal) Saylor of Staffordsville, and Kenny Lyons of Staffordsville; one son-in-law, Felix Zometa of Richmond: 15 grandkids, Janet (Vince )Skaggs, Jessica (Richard) Bentley, Cheyanne Castle, Bradley Saylor, Zoey Saylor, Kenny (Maranda) Lyons, Jeffrey (Megan) Lyons, Karlyn Forseca, Justin Zometa, Genna Zometa, and Kalena Zometa; 11 great grandkids, Lee Skaggs, Apryl Skaggs, Alexis Bentley, Kelsey Bentley, Sabastian Lyons, Kadence Lyons, Katie Lyons and Savannah Lyons, Jaylen Fonseca, Xander Fonseca and Kayden Fonseca; and a great, great grandchild due June 2017. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews along with many special friends she considered family. Martha was a loving wife, mother and granny. She was a faithful Christian for 50 plus years and a member of Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and listening to many church programs, she had
numerous notebooks filled with Christian songs she had written down over the years. Along with the date and time she completed them. Martha Jane nursed many during her life and would always put the needs of others before her own. She was so strong in her Faith, her love for the Lord and her family. She loved having all her family together for holidays, dinner or just a slice of her famous homemade apple pie. She had a big heart and a smile that would brighten anyone’s day.
Visitation for Martha will be held at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Thursday, 5-9 p.m. for the public and Friday, May 26th, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
Funeral services were held 11a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville, with burial at the Blair/Saylor cemetery on Grassy Creek, Staffordsville.

Paul Dutton
1925-2017
Our precious father, Paul Dutton, 92, was taken home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29, 2017. He was a resident of LaGrange, Ohio for over 40 years. He was born May 15, 1925 in Pike County, Ky. He later left the coal mines of Kentucky and worked as a Class A machinist at Brown Fintube Co. in Elyria, Ohio, until the company dissolved. He worked for the Nordsen Co. in Amherst until retirement.
Most of Paul’s life was devoted to the church. He was instrumental in building the Vincent Freewill Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio in the mid 50’s and the Good Hope Baptist Church in Elyria in 1966. His greatest joy in life was traveling and singing southern gospel music. He adored his whole family whom he loved and was very proud. He was a member of the Wellington Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter; Darlene (Charles) Sallee of Elyria, son; James (Sandra) Dutton of Wakeman, and brothers; Gene (Ruth) Dutton of Amherst, Mitchell (Betty) Dutton of Elyria and Walter (Mandy) Dutton of Inez; grandchildren; Kimberly (JT) Withrow of North Ridgeville, Kelly (David) Thompson of Vermilion, Ohio, Christine (David) Ash, of Wakeman, Brian (Vanessa) Scott of North Olmstead, and Darla (Chris) Daily of Columbus, Ohio; and step grandchildren; Mike and Matthew Sallee. He was a great grandfather to 13 and great-great grandfather to 8. He will be greatly missed by all of us. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Opal in 2005, parents; Willie and Emma Dutton, brothers; Palmer and BJ Dutton, and sister; Louise Melvin.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4-7 at the Freewill Baptist Church, 205 Woodland Street, Wellington, where a service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11 am. Calling hours will again be held at Jones-Preston Funeral Home, 807 South Mayo Trail, Paintsville, KY 41240 from 11 until 1 pm with burial following at Highland Memorial Park. Joe Russell Music
1955-2017
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 2 p.m. at the Auxier Free Will Baptist Church for Joe Russell Music, 61, of Van Lear, who passed away Tuesday, May 23 at his residence.
Mr. Music was born Dec. 20, 1955 in Floyd County, son of the late Frank Music and Dorothy Wells Music. He was also preceded in death two brothers, Dexter and Rex Music.
Surviving are his wife, Melinda McKenzie Music of Van Lear; one daughter, Kerri Nuccio of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, James David Music of Van Lear; one sister, Vivian Spencer of Leesburg, Fla.; two grandchildren, Elio Marcano and Emmalyn Nuccio.
The service will be officiated by Bobby Joe Spencer, with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.

Jack D. May
1938-2017
Jack D. May, 78, of Carey, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at 3:22 a.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio.
Born on August 2, 1938 in Carey, he was the son of the late Curtis James and Donnie (Conley) May, Sr. Jack married Monrovia Grimes. She preceded him in death in May, 2004 after 39 years of marriage. He is survived by his sister, Ruth J. Blanton, of Carey, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Jack was a graduate of Oil Springs High School. He was a drywaller by trade for many years. He was a veteran the U.S. Marine Corps.

Lola Collins
1933-2017
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 26, 11 a.m., at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home Chapel for Lola Collins, 83, of Van Lear, who passed away Saturday, May 20 at Mountain Manor Nursing Home of Paintsville.
Ms. Collins was born Dec. 14, 1933 in Scioto County, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas Delong and Gertrude Messer. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Edith Carver.
Surviving are three daughters, Karen Cantrell of Paintsville, Sharon Daniels of Merritt Island, Fla., and Teresa (Bano) Campbell of Banner; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by B. Joe Hill and Roger Hill, with burial to follow in the Goble cemetery at Van Lear.

Daniel Keith Nealy
1961-2017
Memorial services were held Saturday, May 20, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Lake State Park for Daniel Keith Nealy, 56, of Paintsville, who passed away Thursday, May 11.
Mr. Nealy was born Feb. 2, 1961 in Fort Gay, W.Va., son of the late John and Alma Dawden Nealy. He was a laborer with Paintsville Rent-A-Tool. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Karen Nealy Spears.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Gillespie Nealy; one son, Benjamin (Jessica) Nealy of Canton, Ohio; one daughter, Amy Nealy Scott of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Penny Nealy Nessel of California; six grandchildren; maternal grandmother, Martha Dawden; and many special cousins.
The service was officiated by Larry Blair.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 21, 12 p.m., at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for John Graham Turner, 68, of Paintsville, who passed away Tuesday, May 16 at Riverview Health Care.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park cemetery at Staffordsville.
