Louise Davis Spears
1939-2006
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, 2 p.m. at the Childers Funeral Home in Meally, Ky., for Louise Davis Spears, 67, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, June 7 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.
Mrs. Spears was born April 17, 1939 in Johnson County, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Chester Spears.
Surviving are one son, Charles Russell Spears of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Geneva Wiley of Paintsville and Linda Wiggins of Staffordsville, Ky.; three brothers, James Kenneth and Randall Davis, both of Hager Hill, Ky., and Larry Douglas of Wittensville, Ky.
The service was officiated by Ronnie Spriggs, with burial in the Smith Family cemetery at King Addition in Paintsville.
Arrangements under the direction of the Childers Funeral Home of Meally.

Thomas N. Cox
1933-2006
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 17, 1 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Thomas N. Cox, 73, of Paintsville, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, June 14 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Mr. Cox was born April 26, 1933 in Johnson County, son of the late Ben and Ethel Wheeler Cox. He was owner and operator of Cox’s Auto Parts, a masonic lodge master, Grand Perservant-Grand Lodge of Kentucky in the 1970s; past Paintsville Comman-dery #48. He was a member of the Grand Council of Kentucky; the Royal Order of Scotland; Red Cross of Constantine; Scottish Rite 33º; El Hasa Shrine-Potentate 1980; Royal Order of Jesters – Court 172; Big Sandy Shrine Club and the Elks Lodge. He was also High Priest – Paintsville Chapter 131; Illustrious Master Fred McKenzie 98; and a member of the Elks’ Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Joe Chandler Cox of Paintsville; two sons, William Thomas “Bill” Cox of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Steve Cox of Paintsville; one brother, James Cox of Paintsville; and five grandchildren, Kris, Steven, Nathan, Shawnee, and Cheyenne Cox.
The service will be officiated by Don Barnett, Wayne Price and Pat Caniff, with burial in the Lower Mayo cemetery in Paintsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southside Free Will Baptist Church or First United Methodist Church by contacting Jones-Preston Funeral Home at 789-3501.

Dennis Castle
1923-2009
Funeral services were held Monday, March 30, 2 p.m. at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service in Wabash, Ind., for Dennis Castle, 85, of Wabash, who passed away Wednesday, March 25 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla.
Mr. Castle was born Dec. 20, 1923 in Offutt, Ky., son of the late Marion and Gertrude Bowling Castle. He was a graduate of Van Lear High School in Van Lear, Ky., and he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, retiring as a Master Sergeant.
Surviving are his wife, Dortha M. Castle of Wabash; four children, Dennis M. Caster of Culver City, Calif., Joann (Michael) Coburn of Lake Jackson, Texas, Mary (Michael) Kirk of Alvin, Texas, and Ellen (Dennis) Tyner of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, John Castle of Sun City, Ariz.; two sisters, Gertrude Preston of Paintsville, Ky., and Alice Waterman of New Gloucester, Ma.; one grandson; and many nephews and nieces.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Phil Lake, with burial in the Paw Paw cemetery in Miama County, Ind.

Gary L. Jackson
1963-2009
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 1, 1 p.m. at the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Gary L. Jackson, 45, of Oil Springs, Ky., who passed away Friday, March 27 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky.
Mr. Jackson was born Sept. 13, 1963 in Paintsville, son of the late Carl and Ruie Blair Jackson. He was a mill wright worker in construction. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Neal Jackson.
Surviving are his daughter, Trish, and several cousins.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Terry Lykins, with burial following in the Jackson Family cemetery at Oil Springs.

Gregory E. Sagraves
1956-2009
Funeral services were held Monday, March 30, 1 p.m. at the Richard, Raff & Dunbar Memorial Home for Gregory E. Sagraves, 52, of South Vienna, Ohio, who passed away Wednesday, March 25 at his residence.
Mr. Sagraves was born Oct. 25, 1952 in Springfield, Ohio, son of Elwin and Jean Ferguson Sagraves. He was employed by Honda of America in the weld maintennance department.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Rhonda Davis Sagraves South Vienna; two sons, Benjamin (Libby) Sagraves of South Charleston and Brian Sagraves of South Vienna; one sister, Bev (Mike) McConnell of Bethesda, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Patty Davis of South Vienna and Sheri (Rick) Ehnie of Springfield; one brother-in-law, Roger (Susan) Davis of South Vienna; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
The service was officiated by the Rev. Clayton Brooks, with burial in the South Vienna Cemetery.

John W. Picklesimer Sr.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 4, 1 p.m. at the head of Pickle Fork for John W. Picklesimer Sr., 95, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 11 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Picklesimer was born March 28, 1917 in Johnson County, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Ameilia Mason Picklesimer, and six children.

Larry Gene Fitzpatrick
1949-2009
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, April 1, 11 a.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Larry Gene Fitzpatrick, 59, of Louisa, Ky., who passed away Saturday, March 28 at Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was born May 12, 1949 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late John and Mildred McCloud Fitzpatrick. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran. He was also preceded in death by one son, James “Smurf” Lemaster.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy Greene Fitzpatrick of Louisa; six sons, Kelly Fitzpatrick of Florida, Jesse Lemaster of Paintsville, Ky., Jason Lemaster, Larry Joe Fitzpatrick, and Mark Fitzpatrick, all of Louisa, and Mikia Rowland of Salyersville, Ky.; five daughters, Klorissa Fitzpatrick of Florida, Misty Lemaster of Prestonsburg, Ky., Shasta Lewis of Hazard, Ky., Brenda Bailey of Salyersville and Sara Swanson of Colorado; one brother, Gary Fitzpatrick of Salyersville; three sisters, Mary Fitzpatrick of Paintsville, Teresa Sisco of Indiana, and Kimberly Fitzpatrick of Prestonsburg, Ky.; and several grandchildren.
The service will be officiated by Bro. Benny Slone, with burial following in the Fitzpatrick cemetery at East Point, Ky.

Linda Lou Blanton Ramey
1954-2009
Funeral services were held Monday, March 23, 2 p.m. at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Linda Lou Blanton Ramey, 54, of Hager Hill, Ky., who passed away Saturday, March 21 at Staffordsville, Ky.
Mrs. Ramey was born Nov. 22, 1954 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of Maxine Blanton of Staffordsville, and the late James Cook.
Surviving are one daughter, Starlie “Star” Driskill Castle of Staffordsville; three brothers, Jimmy and Eddie Blanton, both of Staffordsville, and Ronnie James Cook of McDowell, Ky.; and three grandchildren.
The service was officiated by John F. Ramey.
