Bernadine Tassin Lemoine "MawMaw"
(September 28, 1939 - March 28, 2012)

A resident of Zachary, she died Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was 72 years old and was a retired Dental Assistant with John Ory, DDS. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc in Zachary on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and continues on Saturday, March 31,2012 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Baker from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Hubert P. Lemoine; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Liz and Sonny Devall, Treba and Ray Allen, and Sabrina and Bob Whitaker; 3 sisters, Euniceann Clark, Margaret Dessell and Patricia Dowden; a brother, Rodney Tassin; 5 grandchildren, Brandy Giroir, Cheri Whitaker, Bubbie Allen, Robbie Whitaker and Paul Dillion Allen; 7 great-grandchildren, Austin, Mason, Landon, Logan, Laryn, Tristan, and Gage. She is preceded in death by her parents, Abby and Hazel Tassin. Pallbearers will be Sonny Devall, Bob Whitaker, Ray Allen, Robbie Whitaker, Bubbie Allen, Paul Allen, Shannon Giroir and Austin Whitaker. She was a lifelong member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus #4085, Ladies Auxiliary, and the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed quilting at the Zachary Library with her quilting guild. She enjoyed her family Sunday Dinners and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks to Sharedean Robinson, Patricia Wilkinson and the entire staff at Oakwood Village. Her passion for the Lords Prayer was her strength.

Carrie Juanita Crawford Dixon "Juanita"
(September 28, 1930 - April 8, 2012)

Juanita Crawford Dixon, 81, a resident of Tunica, LA, died on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her home. She was a former employee of Louisiana State Penitentiary, where she worked for approximately 30 years, and she also worked as a nurse for Dr. Courtland Smith for nearly 16 years. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., in Zachary on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and then on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 9 am. until services at 10 a.m., conducted by Pastor Mike Clark. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bert Dixon; three daughters, Zula Cook Long and her husband Jeff Huey Long, Brenda Stilley and her husband Lenwood Stilley, and Debra Mulkey and her husband Mark Mulkey; four sons, Sam Felder, Ray Felder, James Felder and his wife Lisa Felder, and Johnny Bert Dixon and his wife Kim Dixon; one sister, Loretta McQueen; two brothers, James Crawford and his wife Gail, and Carlton Crawford; ten grandchildren: Corey Felder, Alex Felder, Sammie Felder, Lena Grace Felder, Jessica Felder, Jeremy Dixon, Connor Dixon, Ami Bagget, Keri Rogillio, and Mike W. Mulkey; two great-grandchildren, Mason Rogillio and Karley Bagget; numerous nieces and nephews; and Bubba Butler, whom she loved as a son. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Crawford and Mildred Kerr Crawford; her daughter, Janet Kay Cook; sister Barbara Jean Crawford, and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Crawford and Helen Crawford. Pallbearers will be Corey Felder, Alex Felder, Sammie Felder, Jeremy Dixon, Connor Dixon, Chad Butler, Trampus Butler, and Cody Butler. Honorary pallbearers are Hilton Butler, Bubba Butler, Danny Zalesky, Robert Tycer, and Bobby Joe Aertker. Thanks to Dr. Carl Lukehart at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and Jamie with Regional Hospice for their loving care.

Shelvie Floyd Mendoza
(November 21, 1936 - April 9, 2012)

Shelvie Mendoza died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Field Memorial Community Hospital in Centreville, MS. She was 76 years old, a native of Gloster, MS and a resident of Norwood. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Charlet Fu- neral Home, Inc., Clinton, from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Tony Hand. Interment will be in the Eastern Star Cemetery, Wilson. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Wheeler and wife Beth; 4 sisters, Kay Tate, Yancy Carruth, Gloria Runnels, and Judy Brown; and a brother, Cliff Floyd. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Floyd and Minnie Netterville; a daughter, Jennifer Mendoza; a brother, Jerry Floyd; and sisters, Janice Floyd and Virginia Bills.

Bernice Marian Hutton Slade
(January 29, 1924 - April 7, 2012)

Bernice Slade died on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Clinton. She was 88 years old and a resident of Clinton. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at The Rock Church, Zachary from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the church from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Rocky Bezet. Interment will be in Greenoaks Cemetery, Baton Rouge. She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Terry Slade & wife Darlene, and Jack (Christy) Slade & wife Linda, all of Clinton; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Slade, and 2 sons, Dale Slade, Jr. and Lynn Allen Slade.

Jennifer Marie Armstrong "Jen"
(Died March 30, 2012)

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died March 30, 2012. She was 40 years old and was employed with Red Stick Construction. There will be a graveside service at Bethany World Prayer Center Cemetery in Baker on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00am. She is survived by her fiancé', Winston Woodward, Sons, Stefan Myrick and wife, Macey Clayton, Kevin Gilbert, Balyx Armstrong, Adopted mother, Kathleen Armstrong, Sisters, Cynthia Armstrong, Stephanie Armstrong, and Melinda Armstrong, Brothers, Michael Pitts, John Stewart and James Stewart and wife, Kerri, 2 grandchildren, Baylie Alix Myrick and Lila Christine Strobl. She was preceded in death by her son, Blayze Joseph Armstrong, father, Jimmy D. Stewart, mother, Mellissa E. Armstrong. Pallbearers will be Logan Gross, Bailey Gross, Greg Haskins, Carlo Canova, Stefan Myrick and Kevin Gilbert. Donations may be made to defray funeral expenses.

Burrell S. Seal "Buddy"
(February 26, 1934 - May 2, 2012)

Burrell S. "Buddy" Seal died on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his daughter's home in Central, LA at the age of 78. He was a resident of Zachary and native of Poplarville, MS. He was a retired carpenter from Brown and Root Construction. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 12noon until service time at 2:00 pm conducted by Rev. Gene Rives. Burial will be in Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. He is survived by his daughters, Charmaine and spouse Mark Keltner and Cindi Mouton and Niece, Rhonda Conner, grandchildren, Brandilyn and Terry Childress, Brittany Keltner, Carly Mouton, Cory Keltner, April Mouton, Chase Mouton, Kaitlyn Conner and Michael Conner, great grandchildren, Peyton Childress, Jeanne Janise, Charlie Janise, and Ellisyn Jeansonne and Buddy's loving companion, Dixie Kilby. He is also survived by his brother, Rev. Hiram Ruben and Mary Burge, and Sisters, Mary Jane and Gene Singletary, Dorothy Mae and James Kennedy, Martha Lou Singletary, and Nelda and Whitt Blackwell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lura F. Seal, parents, Burrell and Nora Seal, Sisters, Velora Knighten Carlton, Verna Tarver, Vera Spiers, Velma Spiers, brothers, Vardaman Seal, Venson Seal, Vernell Seal and Virgle Seal.Pallbearers will be Mark Keltner, Cory Keltner, Terry Childress, Chase Mouton, Michael Conner and Terry Usry. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Singletary, Jimmy Fleming and Glynn Fleming. He was a member of Zachary Lions Club, First United Methodist Church of Baker and he was an avid sports fan of LSU, GEAUX TIGERS! Coach Buddy Seal leaves behind with love all of his softball girls of Zachary and Slaughter, etc.

William Penick Ilgenfritz III, "Buddy"
September 14, 1965 - May 1, 2012

Ilgenfritz, III, William "Buddy" Penick, 46, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. He was a deputy at East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Department for 12 years. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 4:00 pm until memorial service at 7:00 pm. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Krissy Ilgenfritz, three daughters, Alyssa Ilgenfritz, Nikole Ilgenfritz, and Victoria "Taylor" Ilgenfritz, father, William "Bill" Penick Ilgenfritz and wife Dolly and mother, Sharon Ilgenfritz, Father in law and mother in law, Mitchel and wife Linda Janes, Sisters, Debbie Ilgenfritz, Noel and husband EJ Hano, and Holly Greer, brother, Tracy Ilgenfritz, Grandmother in law, Barbara Jones, Brother in law and sister in law, Jeremy and wife Jessica Janes, grandchildren, Kade Nicholas Sparks and William Penick Ilgenfritz, IV, Guardian and close aunt and uncle, Brenda and husband Wyatt Fisher and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by Virgil Greer, Gladys Greer, William P. Ilgenfritz, Sr, Dorothy Ilgenfritz, Dawn Fisher Price and Dustin Greer. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Richard Crosbie Humphreys
(May 18, 1949 - May 3, 2012)

Richard Crosbie Humphreys, 62, died on May 3, 2012 at his home in St. Francisville. He was recently retired from LSU Facility Management as campus Arborist, a position he loved. He was a native of Boston, MA. Visiting will be at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, St. Francisville, on Tuesday May 8, 2012 from 10:00 am until Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Ellen McFarland Humphreys, daughter, Katherine Humphreys and son, William Humphreys, sisters, Karla McGrath and spouse, Michael and Valerie Lowe, Mother in law, Mary McFarland, brothers in law, Michael McFarland and wife, Yvette and Joseph McFarland and wife, Margaret and sisters in law, Anne McFarland and spouse, Thomas Freeman and Molly Pilgrim and spouse James Pilgrim and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by James Robert and Mary Lillian Humphreys. He was a graduate from University of Massachusetts and LSU.
