TEAGUE, PATRICIA McGINNIS HENRIQUEZ

June 3, 2001

Patricia McGinnis Henriquez Teague, a retired licensed practical nurse, died Friday of cancer at her home. She was 56. Mrs. Teague was born in Mobile, Ala., and lived in Slidell. She was a member of Bayou Oaks Church of God. Survivors include her husband, Mark Teague; three sons, Emile Franklin, Daniel Blair and Alfred Donald Henriquez; two daughters, Emelia Consuela Jenning and Kathy Lynn Blohm; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Louisiana 41, Pearl River. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Hickory Memorial Gardens in Pearl River.

GOLDMAN, THELMA MARGARET JOSEPH

June 3, 2001

Thelma Margaret Joseph Goldman, a homemaker, died Saturday at her home. She was 83. Mrs. Goldman was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She was a member of Hadassah and the New Orleans Council of Jewish Women. She was a generous contributor to many special charities and organizations in and out of New Orleans. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Daniel Wilbur Goldman; two sons, Jeffrey H. and Marc A. Goldman; a brother, Marvin Joseph; and a sister, Cleo Greeson of Syracuse, N.Y. A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Chevra Thilim cemetery, 5000 Iberville St. Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JACKSON, MAXINE SHAW

June 3, 2001

Maxine Shaw Jackson, a nursing assistant, died Wednesday of heart failure at Tulane University Hospital. She was 46. Mrs. Jackson was born in Centerville, Miss., and lived in New Orleans for many years. She graduated from G.W. Carver High School. She was a sergeant in the Army. She was a member of Carver Desire Baptist Church and its Sanctuary Choir and Community Fellowship Mission Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Earl C. Jackson Jr.; two sons, Tyson D. and Earl C. Jackson III; a daughter, Rain M. Jackson; her mother, Hattie B. Shaw; two brothers, Melvin and Elvert Shaw; six sisters, Clara Hayes, Joann B. Rhodies, Betty McGill, Amanda Smith, and Francis Y. and Katie Shaw; and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Carver Desire Baptist Church, 3301 Montegut St. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

WUNSCH, ARTHUR K.

June 3, 2001

Arthur K. Wunsch, a retired custodian with Davenport, Iowa, public schools, died Thursday at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. He was 89. Mr. Wunsch was born in Davenport and lived in Lacombe for many years. He served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Grimmer Wunsch; two sons, Gregory L. Wunsch of Naperville, Ill., and Gary K. Wunsch; and two grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Runge Mortuary, 838 E. Kimberly Road, in Davenport. Visitation will begin at 8:45 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery in Davenport. Schoen Funeral Home of Covington is in charge of arrangements.

FOGG, JASON G.

June 3, 2001

Jason G. Fogg, a student of Bonne Ecole Elementary School, died Thursday of pneumonia at North Shore Regional Medical Center. He was 10. He was a lifelong resident of Slidell. Survivors include his father, Doug Fogg; his mother, Rose S. Fogg; a sister, Angela Ann Fogg; and a grandmother, Jackie Waguespack Sims of Carrollton, Ga. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West. Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 10 p.m. and Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery.

KESSLER, FORREST ALAN

June 3, 2001

Forrest Alan Kessler, an international management consultant and a vice president with Frontline Group, died May 17 of cancer in Little Rock, Ark. He was 45. Mr. Kessler was born in Orlando, Fla., and lived in Louisville, Ky., and Guam and in New Orleans for the past 22 years. He graduated from the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering. He co-authored the book "The 24 Keys to High Performance." He was an award-winning toastmaster and was recognized by the American Society of Training and Development for the design of his training programs. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Coleman Kessler; his father, Wendell Kessler of Louisville; and his mother, Rita Grubbs Kessler of Louisville. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 6201 Stratford Place. Roller-Chenal Funeral Home in Little Rock is in charge of arrangements.

ALLEN, DON TERRY

June 3, 2001

Don Terry Allen, a truck driver with Western Truck Co., died May 24 of a heart attack at a Red Roof Inn in Dallas. He was 44. Mr. Allen was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He attended Gateway One High School and Southern University at New Orleans. He was a Navy veteran. He formerly worked as a security guard with Peace Lake Towers. He was a parishioner of St. David Catholic Church. Survivors include a brother, Keith V. Allen. A Mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at St. David Catholic Church, 5617 St. Claude Ave. Visitation will begin Monday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Boissiere-Labat Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

ANTOINE, KAWON

June 3, 2001

Kawon Antoine, a chef, died Monday of undetermined causes at his home. He was 23. Mr. Antoine was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School and the New Orleans Job Corps. Survivors include his companion, Katrina Holmes; his father, Bernard J. Antoine Jr.; his mother, Mary Jane Antoine; a brother, Corey Antoine; and a sister, Chonda Antoine. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Magee Funeral Home, 2141 Washington Ave.

MEYNARD, RALPH A.

June 3, 2001

Ralph A. Meynard, vice president and co-owner of Otis-McAllister Export of New Orleans, died Thursday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 76. Mr. Meynard was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 46 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II, received two bronze stars and participated in the D-Day invasion at Utah Beach. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Michael and Richard David Meynard; two brothers, Alan and Lionel Meynard; four sisters, Marion Cannon, Naydine Fiegel, Joan Palmisano and Lynn Meynard; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.

BROUSSARD, RONALD J.

June 3, 2001

Ronald J. Broussard, a retired contractor, died Tuesday of liver cancer at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital. He was 67. Mr. Broussard was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He attended Straight Business College. He was a former staff sergeant in the Army. Survivors include his father, Albert Broussard Sr.; four brothers, Albert Jr., Stanley Sr., Arlington and Alvin Broussard Sr.; and three sisters, Clara Broussard Ford, Gail Broussard Johnson and Elvira Broussard Collins. A Mass will be said Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1835 St. Roch Ave. Visitation will be Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 1610 Lapeyrouse St. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.

HAND, PETER A.

June 7, 2001

Peter A. Hand, a retired lieutenant with the New Orleans Police Department, died Tuesday of cancer at his home. He was 68. Mr. Hand was born in New Orleans and lived in Terrytown for the past 33 years. He served with the Police Department for 33 years. He was state president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, president of the Police Pension Board, treasurer of the New Orleans Police Mutual and Benevolent Association, past president of the Louisiana State Lodge and Crescent City Lodge No. 2 of the Fraternal Order of Police, and past president of the Police and Firemen's Holy Name Society. He also served on the board of directors of the Friends of St. Alphonsus, was a member of St. Patrick Church's parish council and was awarded the St. Louis Medallion by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. He also was a member of the board of the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Committee and served as the grand marshal of its 1985 parade. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Gaynelle Collins Hand; a son, Jeffrey J. Hand; three brothers, James L., Lawrence J. and Harold F. Hand; two sisters, Anna Gaudet and Sister Mary Joecile Hand, R.S.M.; and a grandchild. A Mass will be said today at 12:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 724 Camp St. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. All Faiths Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

PETERSON, ROBERT JR.

May 23, 2001

Robert Peterson Jr. died Thursday of undetermined causes at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 59. Mr. Peterson was born in Goodbee and lived in Covington for the past 20 years. Survivors include two sons, Ron Peterson of Port Allen and Malcolm Peterson of Modesto, Calif.; two daughters, Jeanine Austin of Mobile, Ala. and Deneen Payne of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers, Isaac Peterson of Mandeville and Charles Peterson of Lacombe; three sisters, Clara M. Batiste of Lacombe, Celia Davidson and Deloris Peterson; and seven grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 123W. 28th Ave., Covington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in White Settlement cemetery. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

GAUDET, JULI ANNE MESAROS

May 16, 2001

Juli Anne Mesaros Gaudet, a dental hygienist, died Saturday of undetermined causes at her home. She was 44. Mrs. Gaudet was born in Colorado and lived in Violet for six years. She graduated from the University of Colorado. Survivors include her husband, Michael Gaudet; her father, Frank Mesaros of Arizona; her mother, Marilyn H. Mesaros of Arizona; and her grandmother, Agnes Hanneman of Arizona. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette.
