Bolivar "Lew" Lewelyn Overton
(September 24, 1933 - July 23, 2012)

Bolivar Lewelyn "Lew" Overton, 78, died July 23, 2012 at Maison de Lafayette in Lafayette, LA. He was a retired Boilermaker with Local 582 and a resident of Slaughter, LA. He is survived by 3 daughters, Connie Kelly and husband Michael of Magnolia, TX, Rita Wohlgemuth and husband Bill of Slaughter, LA and Virginia "Ginny" Dunn and husband Rodney of Zachary, LA; 2 sons, Johnny Overton and Christopher Overton and wife Staci Drost Overton of Youngsville, LA; 1 brother, Samuel Overton; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents, John E. Overton and Katie Goff Overton, 3 sisters, 1 brother and 1 daughter, Sandra Spencer. Visiting will be Sunday July 29, 2012 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. with a 4 p.m. Rosary at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc, Zachary, LA and will continue on Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary from 9 a.m. until Mass at 10 a.m. conducted by Father Matthew Mc- Caughey. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Baton Rouge, LA. Pallbearers will be Johnny Overton, Christopher Overton, Bill Wohlgemuth, Daryl Pritchard, Blake Overton and Michael Kelly. Honorary pallbearer is Logan Overton. He was a graduate of Redemptorist High School and a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church and Men's Club in Zachary, LA. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed farming, raising cattle and his family. We Love You, Dad. Please make memorial donations to www.alz.org/tributes.

Raymond L. Cunningham
(June 5, 1927 - July 29, 2012)

Raymond L. Cunningham, 85, died Sunday, July 29, 2012. He was a resident of Clinton and was retired from LSU Idlewild Experiment Station. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served in WWII. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and conducted research at LSU Idlewild Experiment Station in Clinton, LA. He is survived by one son, Keith Cunningham of Clinton, six sisters, Agnes Goudeau and husband Hillery of Denham Springs, Gladys Goudeau and husband Kirby of Greenwell Springs, Betty Mae Mixon of Baker, Pat Wilson of Central, Helen Hughes of Hammond and Kay Wilson of Baker, one brother, Wayne Cunningham and wife Raye of Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Covington Cunningham, parents, Raymond Francis Cunningham and Eulice Ellis Cunningham, brothers, Frankie Cunningham and Dale Cunningham, and sisters, Elaine Wilson and Frances Holmes. Visiting will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Charlet Funeral Home, Clinton, LA. Visiting will continue Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 9:00am until service at 10:00am, conducted by Rev. Byron Comish. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton, LA. Pallbearers are Brent Fazende, Clifton Chaney, Wayne Cunningham, Ricky Cunningham, Robert Davis and Bradley Chaney. Family request that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.

Deborah Floy Reeves Richardson
(February 24, 1938 - July 28, 2012)

Deborah Richardson died on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her home in Jackson. She was 74 years old and a native of White, Arkansas. Visitation will be at the Zachary United Methodist Church in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 4pm until memorial services at 6pm. Interment will be at Port Hudson National Cemetery. She is survived by 2 daughters; Karen Bryan Lachney & Cynthia Bryan Boudreaux & fiance Mike Kelly, brothers and sister; Alton Cary Reeves, Barbara Reeves Moore, Jim Reeves, Roy Reeves, Phillip Reeves, grandchildren; Shannon Warbington McCarty, Bonnie Lachney, Noah Lachney, Jamie Lachney, Robert Lachney, Katie Lachney, William Gray Jr., Mallory Boudreaux Hayden, Blaine Boudreaux, Levi Boudreaux, great grandchildren; Emma Lachney, Jeremy Baggett, Jr., Lexie Ann McCarty & Paiton Lynd McCarty. She was preceded in death by her husband; Samuel Alfred Richardson Jr., parents; Birtie Dale Jones Reeves & Wesley B. Reeves, son; Leslie Floyd Warbington, and siblings; Wesley "Bill" Reeves & Marguerite Reeves Holiday. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Debbie relied on her Christian Faith and the church family throughout her life to get through hard times. The family would like to thank the Members and Staff of the Zachary United Methodist Church and the neighbors for the kindness and support given to Mom. Also, special thanks to Maurice Brown for his kindness through the years.

Jimmie Jackson Sr.
(December 25, 1929 - July 30, 2012)

A native of South Carolina and resident of Baker, LA for the last 50 years, he passed away on July 30, 2012 at Grace Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was 80. He was retired from Local Union 406 of Operating Engineers. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Baker. He was a member of Blazing Star Masonic Lodge No. 212 of Port Allen, LA and also a member of Goose Creek Lodge No. 401 in Goose Creek, South Carolina, a member of the Baton Rouge Consistory and a Shriner. He is survived by a son, Jimmie Jackson, Jr. and wife Loretta of Addis, LA; a daughter Cynthia Louderbough of Grapevine, TX; sister Margie Sterner of Shreveport, LA and sisters Brenda Mabry, Lovie Dodge, and Kim Jackson, all of Tennessee; very dear and special friend Mavis Lambert; two grandchildren, Jimmie Jackson III (Trey) and wife Brandy of Watson, LA; Carrie Ruth David and husband Mark of Addis, LA and three great-grandchildren: Grace Lynn, Austin Michael, and Alayna Michelle. He is preceded in death by his wife Delma Ruth, and parents George Blake and Gertrude Jackson. He enjoyed his fishing camp, traveling, and making and selling trick wallets. He had many friends and enjoyed his time with them and his family, and especially his little companion Sparkette. A very heartfelt thank you for all of the prayers from family and friends through his illness and a special thank you to the staff at Grace Nursing Home. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6pm until 8pm and then on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 9am until services at 10am. Burial will be in Azalea Rest Cemetery in Zachary.

Joseph Gaultier
(April 14, 1932 - August 2, 2012)

Joseph Gaultier, 80, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home. He was a retired member of Pipefitters Local 198. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and then on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 10am until 12 noon. Funeral services will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary at 12:30pm. Burial will be in Port Hudson National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Verna Hebert Gaultier; three daughters: Paula Davis, Wanda O'Neal, and Maureen Gaultier; two sons: Larry Gaultier and Bryan Gaultier; two sisters, Lucille Morgan and her husband Dudley, and Theresa Gary; sixteen grandchildren: Chris, Steven, Andrew, and Beau Gaultier; Alan Benton; Nicole, Rickey Jr., and Liz Davis and their father, Rickey Davis, Sr.; Danielle Sterling; Lindsay and Blaine O'Neal; Carolyn Gaultier; Jeremoy Degraw; Jody and Rebecca Arcediano; and Evan Pourciau; five great-grandchildren: Jacolby Arcediano; Camden and Greyson Sterling; Joseph Bailey; and Harlem Arcediano. He was preceded in death by his parents Necess and Edith Gaultier and four siblings: Mildred, Gladys, Rita, and Harry. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Robert Henson and Justin Castille. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. Special thanks to Hospice Compassus's Angels: Dovetta, Sharon, Robin, Nettie, Kim and Shannon. Terry Wayne Brewer
(September 19, 1937 - August 3, 2012)

Terry Wayne Brewer, "Tee", 74, died at his residence in St. Francisville on Friday, August 3, 2012. He was retired, after working for James Rivers for nearly 42 years. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA from 5pm until 8pm and then on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 9am until services at 10am. Burial will be in Feliciana Cemetery in St. Francisville. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Rosalie W. Brewer; five daughters, Sheryl Clark of St. Francisville; Jackie Hollier and her husband Cayce of Woodville, MS; Rose Ann Halderson and her husband Jim of Sinclair, WY; Tammy Long of St. Francisville; and Carol Lynn Long of Marble Falls, TX; two sons, Michael M. Brewer and his wife Yvonne of Aliso Viejo, CA; and David W. Long of Mississippi; one brother, Perry W. Brewer and his wife Charlene of St. Francisville; five grandchildren: Jonathon S. Brewer; Frazier Bendily; Cayce Slade Hollier; Cassandra Delaney; and Sandra Hernandez; Carissa Kegler, Toni Stringer, Kerri Stringer, EJ Garcia, Brandon Garcia, and Kayla Long, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Elsie Brewer; his son Marshall Wayne Brewer; and his granddaughter Sheryl Renee Ford. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Lloyd William Hoyle, Jr.
(August 17, 1927 - August 17, 2012)
U.S. Veteran

Hoyle, Jr., Lloyd William, 85, of St. Francisville, entered into eternal life on August 17, 2012, which was his 85th birthday. He was at his home with his family by his side. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Navy on both the USS Holland and USS Stockham. He had a twenty-five year career with the Iowa Department of Corrections and a twenty-year career with the Louisiana Department of Corrections. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, JoAnne (Nost); two daughters, Lee Basco and husband Darwin, Dee Harris and husband Rodney; a daughter in law, Karen Hoyle, ten grandchildren, Heather Honeycutt and husband Greg, Justin Brandt and wife Jessica, Kimberly Juneau and husband Mark, Tiffany Holstead and husband Tim, Jocelyn O'Neal and husband Mike, Courtney Moore and husband Tray, Waylan Bennett and wife Alisha, Joshua Basco and wife Adrienne, Adie Bennett, Jared Freeman; three foster grandchildren, Edward Freeman and wife Pam, Trevor Gonzales and wife Mandy, Trina Kluck and husband Ryan; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and a very dear friend, Hattie Lee. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Phillip Hoyle; his parents, Lloyd William Hoyle and Daisy (Wagner) Hoyle; four sisters, Helen Hayes, Gertrude Cassidy, Clara Adkinson and Margrette "Peg" Ellnor Guetzko; and four brothers, Dwight, Everette, John and Lawrence. The family wants to sincerely thank the staff at Cardinal Hospice for the very special care, concern and comfort that they provided throughout this difficult time. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm conducted by Bro. Jonathan Samuels. Burial will be at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, LA.
