Larry E. Dennis
SALISBURY - Larry Edward Dennis, 46, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of Beatrice L. Dennis of Newark, Md. and the late Herman Dennis Sr.
He was a 1977 graduate of Snow Hill High School and a member of the former Cedar Chapel Methodist Church.
Mr. Dennis was associated with the Go-Getters of Salisbury. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers: Corlas and Herman "Randy" Dennis Jr. of Newark, Md.; two sisters: Alfreda Dennis of Chestertown and Helen Stallings of Newark; four nieces; four nephews; three great-nieces, two great-nephews and a number of aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held, noon Saturday at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Bishopville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 tonight at Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury and on Saturday at the church from 11-noon.

Frances E. Beulah
DENTON - Frances E. "Sissy" Beulah, 58, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge.
She was born Feb. 15, 1946 in Caroline County, daughter of the late Merritt Murphy and Dorothy S. Wells Murphy Roop.
She had attended Colonel Richardson High School and worked as a nursing assistant until 2001.
Mrs. Beulah is survived by her husband of over 30 years, James A. Beulah Sr.; a daughter, Dawn Hurley and her husband, Bobby Sr. of Secretary; three grandchildren, Kristen Jester, Bobby Hurley Jr. and Kaitlyn Hurley, all of Secretary; one great-grandson, Corey Scott; four stepchildren, Jimmy, Derick, Stevie and Billy Beulah; a sister, Karen Lugo (Renee); three brothers, Donnie Murphy (Jeannie), Dale Murphy, M. Burke Murphy; a stepsister, Darlene Murphy (Wayne) and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Tina DeAngelis, Ronnie Rust, Core Scott, Roxanne Mostrom and Dianne Brittingham.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Rust; two stepdaughters, Cindy and Denise Beulah; two stepbrothers, Kevin and Rodney Roop and her stepfather, Clarence Roop.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery.

Chester B. Starr
SEBRING, Fla. - Chester B. Starr, 76 died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at his residence in Sebring.
Born in Chestertown, he was the son of the late Russell L. and Nellie E. Starr. He had been a resident of Sebring since moving from Crescent City, Fla. in 1987.
Mr. Starr worked for General Motor Co./Chevrolet-Buick as a parts manager for 40 years. During World War II he served in the United States Navy.
In Chestertown he was a member of the Frank M. Jarman American Legion Post 24 and the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company; and in Florida he was a member of the Moose Club and Elks Club, as well as a member of Golf Hammock Country Club in Sebring.
In addition to his wife, Corinne, he is survived by three daughters, Sherry Newcomb of Cambridge, Shelly Coleman of Chestertown, and Scarlet Vance of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Mary Brockson of St. Petersburg, Fla. and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. May 17 at Chester Cemetery in Chestertown.
Arrangements are being handled by Thomas E. Melvin & Son Funeral Home, Harrington, Del.

Johnson P. Robinson Jr.
BURAS, La. - Johnson P. "Johnny" Robinson, Jr., 60, formerly of Bishops Head, passed away at his home in Buras on Monday, May 10, 2004.
He was born Jan. 17, 1944 in Cambridge, a son of the late Johnson P. and Lora Ruark Robinson.
He attended schools in the South Dorchester area. On Feb. 9, 1962 he married the former Nellie Murphy.
Mr. Robinson worked as a commercial waterman for his entire life. He had made his home in Buras since 1983, where he continued to work on the water. He enjoyed showing his custom pickup truck.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie M. Robinson of Harvey, La.; two daughters, Tammy M. Jones and her husband, Scott Jones of Salem, Jo Ann Kuneman and her husband, Leo Kuneman of Hebron; two sons, Johnson P. Robinson III of Buras, La., Kirk Robinson and his wife, Michelle Robinson of Bishops Head. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Sierra Tippett, Evan Jones, McKayla Robinson, Austin Robinson; three sisters, Joan D. Paul and Gail Burse, both of Cambridge, Sheri Dawn Hubbard of Hurlock; one brother, Walter P. Robinson of Fenwick, Del.; one uncle, Spark Robinson of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Dorchester Memorial Park with the Rev. Mary Ann Farnell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.

Frank G. DeCesare
CAMBRIDGE - Frank G. DeCesare, 81, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2004 at the Memorial Hospital at Easton.
He was born Aug. 7, 1922 in Oberbieber, Germany, a son of the late Francis S. and Wilhemina Rink DeCesare.
Mr. DeCesare graduated from Bel Air High School. In October, 1942, he joined the United States Navy and served in the South Atlantic. On June 10, 1945 he married Liva Gordon.
He worked as a civilian glassblower at Edgewood Arsenal for 33 years and retired in 1974 and moved to Cambridge where he worked as a waterman.
Mr. DeCesare enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and carving. He was a member of Presbury United Methodist Church in Edgewood; a 58-year member of the American Legion Post 19 and a member of the Neck District Volunteer Fire Company.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Liva R. DeCesare of Cambridge; a son, Daryl DeCesare and wife, Jill of Princess Anne; a daughter, Deb DeCesare of Yuma, Ariz.; a grandson, Kevin DeCesare of Ocean City; a granddaughter, Lauren DeCesare of Yuma, Ariz.; a brother, Ralph DeCesare and wife, Liz of Yorktown, Va. and three nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. Donald Schell officiating. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery near Hurlock.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Kevin DeCesare, Hugo Biermann, Paul Breitschwerdt, David Lewis, Tom Krosheski and Harry Upton.

Robert W. Warner Sr.
EASTON - Robert W. Warner Sr., 88, died Monday, May 10, 2004 at Talbot Hospice House.
He was born Nov. 10, 1915 in Talbot County, the son of the late Charles Wesley and Eliza Mae Sullivan Warner. After attending public school in Talbot County, he worked in farming until entering the U.S. Army during World War II. He was injured while serving with the 179th Infantry Anti Tank Platoon in Italy. After his release from active duty, he entered the electrical field and later former Warner's Electric, which he owned and operated until retiring in 1980.
Mr. Warner's wife, the former Alice Marshall, to whom he was married for 54 years, died Oct. 29, 2001.
A lifetime member of E.E. Streets Memorial Post 5118, VFW, Mr. Warner was also a member of the American Legion Post 70 and was an avid Oriole fan.
He is survived by three children, R. Wesley Warner Jr. and Sharon M. Linthicum, both of Easton and Melodie L. Warner of Preston; a sister-in-law, Margaret Smith of Easton; two grandchildren; four great-grandchilden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., Easton, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oxford Cemetery, Oxford.
Memorial donations may be made to Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601.

Mary J. Morris
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. - Mary Jane Morris, 78, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Green Valley Pavilion in Smyrna, Del.
She was born Jan. 15, 1926 in Federalsburg, the daughter of the late James Carlton and Lena Esther Stack Walls.
After graduating from Federalsburg High School she stayed at home and cared for her children and then went to work for Caroline Poultry in Federalsburg. She then transferred to Bayshore Chicken Plant in Hurlock, where she was a line leader. She worked at Fed's Sportswear in Federalsburg until her retirement. Mrs. Morris also cared for one of her grandsons, Cpl. Robert Troy Short of the U.S. Marines, for most of her life.
In addition to her husband, Jack L. Morris Sr., whom she married Sept. 7, 1958, she is survived by three sons, William G. Walls of Grand Rapids, Mich., Jack L. Morris Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Federalsburg, James F. Morris and his wife, Judy of Federalsburg; five daughters, Mary V. Williams of Baltimore, Jaclyn M. Arney of Georgetown, Del., Debra Simmons and her husband, Ronald of Clayton, Del., Denise L. Martin and her husband, William of Churchville and Janet A. Wheeler and her husband, David of Bridgeville. She is also survived by one sister, Grace Dudley of Easton; two brothers, James Walls of Salisbury and Charlie Walls of Federalsburg and by 11 grandsons; 10 granddaughters and five great-grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William F. Walls and Richard Walls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Williamson Funeral Home, 311 South Main St., Federalsburg. Burial will take place at Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Odessa Lyons
CAMBRIDGE - Odessa Lyons, 58, passed away Friday, May 14, 2004 at her home.
She was born Aug. 4, 1945 in Dorchester County, the daughter of the late Mary Della Stanley and Ide Singletary Sr.
Mrs. Lyons was educated in the public schools of Dorchester. She married John O. Lyons Sr. and was a stay at home wife and mother.
In addition to her husband of 43 years, she is survived by two sons, Anthony Singletary of Florida and John O. Lyons Jr. of Cambridge; six daughters, Belinda Lyons of Massachusetts, Veverly Batson, Pamela Lyons, Latanya Lyons, Sharon Lyons and Eileen Wainwright, all of Cambridge; 14 granddaughters; eight grandsons; three great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; three sisters, Rosalee Sampson of Cambridge, Anna Mae Dockins of Hebron and Helen Harmon of Rhodesdale; two brothers, Gilbert Jones of Dover, Del. and Ide Singletary Jr. of Cambridge. She is also survived by a mother-in-law, Dossie Nord of Alabama; a daughter-in-law, Shema Singletary; a son-in-law, Troy Batson; six sisters-in-law - Bertina Jones, Evalene Boykins, Lucille Brooks, Judy Nord, Zeema Nord and Cora Seigale (who was more like a sister); six brothers-in-law - Clifton Dockins, Louis Sampson Sr., Arthur Sampson, Henry Nord Jr., Norman Nord and Jerry Nord; a special niece, Barbara Jean McKnight (who was like a sister); a special friend, Mary L. Pinder (who was like an aunt) and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Mrs. Lyons was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosalyn Lyons; a grandson, Ty'Ree Lyons; a great-granddaughter, Zi'Niyah Lyons; six sisters, Sarah Pinkett, Gertrude Taylor, Hilda Sampson, Idella Jackson and Helen Blackston; two brothers, Edward Jones and Calvin Jones; a father-in-law, Henry Nord; sister-in-law, Bernice Singletary Foy, who was like a sister; and special friends, Rhoda Cornish, Grace Norris, Charlotte Nichols, Betty Bostic and James Wongus.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Refuge Temple Church of God with the Rev. Cynthia Stanton officiating. Burial will follow in Thompsontown Cemetery.
There will be a viewing held two hours prior to the services.
The Henry Funeral Home, P.A. is handling the arrangements.
