Donald Glenn Packer

Donald Glenn Packer, 72 years, of Fowlerville, Michigan died Wednesday afternoon, February 3, 2010 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan.
He was born October 5, 1937 in Unadilla Township, Michigan; the son of Ernest and Jennie (Eaton) Packer. Donald married Jean Burnie on August 30, 1962 in Fowlerville, Michigan and she survives.
Don is also survived by three daughters, Suzanne Szarowicz, Donna Burns and Dianne (Mark) Bishop; one son, David Packer; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his brother, Earl Packer and sister, Georgia Shehan. Don was preceded in death by his son inlaw, William and one grandchild.
Don worked for Demmer Corporation of Lansing, Michigan; he loved to read, hunt and fish and watch his grandchildren in sports.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Shelters Funeral Home in Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. Lloyd Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinckney Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday 10 AM until time of service.

Edward G. Stephenson, 39 years, of Howell, Michigan died Wednesday morning March 10, 2010 at his residence.
He was born May 13, 1970 in Leonardtown, Maryland; the son of Ronald and Mary Jane Shand Stephenson. Ed married Patricia Donovan on June 24, 2000 and she survives.
Ed is also survived by his mother, Mary Jane Shand and his brother, Brian Stephenson.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Brighton Christian Church 4309 Buno Rd. Brighton, Michigan 48114. Donations in memory of Ed Stephenson may be made to 2/42 Community Church 1661 North Latson Rd. Howell, Michigan 48843

Robert W. Banta (K8PBA), age 81, of Hell, Michigan, passed away March 9, 2010. The family will gather with friends for a celebration of his life, on Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 3pm to 6pm immediately followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at the Pinckney Masonic Temple. In lieu of flowers, please honor Bob (with one 'O') by donating to the American Diabetes Association Research Foundation and the Pinckney Masonic Scholarship Fund for Pinckney students.

Bob E. Nims, 75 years, of Pinckney, Michigan died Saturday evening, February 27, 2010 at his residence.
He was born November 25, 1934 in Dansville, Michigan; the son of Ormel and Josephine (Gibbs) Nims.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Leean Nims; three sons, Kevin, Eric and Steve; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Keith and Ronald; his sister Betty Lou Schnieder.
Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Shelters Funeral Home 250 N Mill St. Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. David Swink officiating, burial will be in Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan. Family will receive friends 12-8 PM Tuesday, March 2.

Michael G. Vogel, 63 years, of Howell, Michigan died Monday morning, April 19, 2010 at his residence.
Michael was born February 14, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of James and Eleanora (Godfrey) Vogel. He married Suzanne Werthman on August 20, 1988 in Franklin, Michigan and she survives.
He is also survived by his son, Michael (Jill) Vogel of Macomb Twp.; three grandchildren, Michael, Evan and Abigall; Father, James; his sister, Sue (Larry) Mick of Warren and his brother, John Vogel of Oak Park.
Michael worked for Ellis Brothers Restaurants in charge of purchasing.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 24, 2010 at The Peoples Church 500 W Main St. Pinckney, Michigan with Rev. Patrick Bonnie officiating.
