Mass of Christian Burial with Committal Service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 1999 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola, Frankenmuth. Fr. Fred Kawka will officiate with burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, Mich. on Friday at 3:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Cederberg Funeral Home, 525 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Holmes will lie in state at church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A wake service will take place 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Veteran's Hospitals, Blessed Trinity Catholic Church or donor's choice.

The beloved son of the late Gwendolyn (Miller) and LeRoy Curtis passed away suddenly Monday, February 8, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper. Age 57 years. He was born June 4, 1941 in Albion, Michigan. Surviving is his soulmate and wife of 35 years, Andrea (Binder). He was the proud father of two loving children, son Jeffery and his wife Amanda and daughter Kimberly and her son, the apple of Grandpa's eye, Cameron. He also leaves a brother, Kenneth (Janet) Curtis; sister, Janis (James) Loubert; mother-in-law, Frieda Binder; brother-in-law, Rudy (Cindy) Binder and will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews, Sue, Jayne, Matt and Casey and by many loving and thoughtful friends. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1967 until 1969 and received the Purple Heart and several other decorations for his service. Ron was employed for 35 years between Saginaw Products Corporation, where he was machine operator and foreman and Corporate Maintenance Inc. where he worked in machine maintenance. He was a member of Christ Ev. Lutheran Church. Ron lived his life fully, enjoying people, camping and the out-of-doors. He was very skillful around the house and could fix anything. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12, 1999 at the W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. James P. Seelow will officiate. Ron will be laid to rest at Garfield Cemetery, Swan Creek Township. Friends may see Ron and his family at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. They may also call from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of service.
