Passed away Saturday evening, February 20, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center- Cooper. Age 77 years. Sidney Earl Weathers was born August 7, 1921 in Detroit. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been employed by Sunshine Biscuit Company here for several years and later with Shear Tool Company for over 20 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Freeland. He married Mary C. Simon December 11, 1948; celebrating their 50th anniversary this past December; she survives him. He also leaves one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Tim Noonan, Saginaw; one son, Earl Weathers, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Heather Noonan and her fiance, Jason Nevarez, Schuyler, Courtney and Amanda Noonan and Robert Joseph Weathers; two great-granddaughters, Brittney and Brianna; one brother and two sisters, Donald (RuthAnn) Weathers, Gladys (Jerome) Weathers and Mildred Fagan; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 1999 at Zion Lutheran Church, 545 S. 7th Street, Freeland. Rev. S. James Petteys will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W.L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday and then from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. They may then call at the church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the National Parkinson's Foundation.

Colby, Francis George (Frank),
Westminster, Michigan. He served in the United States Navy as a signalman during World War II and joined the Saginaw Fire Department in 1948, retiring as the rank of Lieutenant. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Colby and Dale Colby and by his sister, Veronna Schuett. He is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Cheri and Frederick Meyer, Saginaw; Marilyn and Perry Eddy, Kawkawlin and son, Bradley Francis Colby, Ferndale; grandchildren, Heather and Mindi Meyer, Tony and Tammi Eddy; his dear uncle, Myron Craig, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. He also will be sadly missed by his special family in Michigan, Formerly of Chesaning.
Passed away Friday, February 12, 1999, at home. Age 87 years. Graveside services will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning. Rev. Jeffrey Williams will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Danhoff, Thomas D.,
Mio, Michigan Chapter #73, ad was a member of the Otis W. Henry V.F.W. Post #4126 in Mio, where he served as a Trustee and as Hospital Activities Chairman for many years. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He moved to Mio to live in 1979 after retiring from Schaeffer Bakery, where he worked for 26 years. After his retirement he enjoyed a hobby of Flea Marketing, dealing in antiques and oil paintings. He is survived by his wife and five children, Daniel T. Danhoff of Mio; Debra A. Wachowicz of Essexville; Doug A. and wife Beth Danoff of Mio; Dawn M. and husband Steve Campbell of West Branch; and Thomas D. II (Dewey) and wife Diana Danhoff of Mio; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother James Danhoff of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother William Dale and two sisters Corrine J. Salow and Janice Danhoff. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mio with Fr. Regis Burzynski officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Fairview, Mich. with military honors under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #4126 of Mio. Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, February 13, 1999, at her home following a brief illness.
Age 57 years. The daughter of the late Henry Sawatzki and Alice (Willson) Carter, Sally was born December 18, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. He survives her. Sally was employed at Saint Mary's hospital as a nursing assistant. Surviving besides her husband Robert are one daughter, one son and their spouses, Kathy and Jerome Sledz, Saginaw; Ken and Jodi Smith, Burt; six grandchildren, Steven, Katie and Rachel Sledz, Jerry, Alex and Megan Smith; one sister, Sherry Lee and Joseph Marko, Flint; several nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Jacobs. Funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Asa T. Compton will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
