THOMAS H. MITTON
Services for Thomas H. Mitton, 59, of Garden City were Monday, April 8, at Merriman Road Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Parker officiated.
Mr. Mitton was born Dec. 28, 1942, in Detroit and died April 4 in Farmington Hills. He was employed as a technician.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Mitton; sons, Tony (Melissa) Mitton and Steven Davis; daughters, Mary (Tony) Gaedcke and Sheila (Roberto) Corchado; grandson, Isaiah; mother, Elma Mitton; brothers, James (Bernadette) Mitton and William (Gail) Mitton; and sister, Shirley (Dennis) Palm. He was preceded in death by his father, John Mitton.
Private cremation followed services.
Memorials are suggested to California; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her husband, James.
LORETTA VIRGINIA HOLMES
Services for former Livonia resident Loretta Holmes, 70, of New Port Richey, Fla., were in Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home in New Port Richey with burial at Trinity Cemetery, Trinity, Fla.
Mrs. Holmes was born June 23, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., and died March 27 in New Port Richey, Fla. She moved to Livonia in 1934 and attended Clarenceville schools. In 1963, she moved to Garden City, where she raised her family, returning to Livonia in 1980, until retiring and moving to Michigan.
PHYLLIS M. ZERNDT
Services for Phyllis Zerndt, 82, of Garden City were April 10 in Vermeulen Funeral Home with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Bernard Pilsrski.
Mrs. Zerndt was born Jan. 23, 1920, in Detroit and died April 7 in Garden City. She was a kitchen worker for Hudson's.
Surviving are her sons, Richard Zerndt of Garden City, William Zerndt of Garden City and Gary (Paula) Zerndt of Dorr; daughter, Patricia Zerndt of Westland; and three grandchildren, Emily, Melanie and Katie.
EVELYN E. GOTSHAW
Services for Evelyn Gotshaw, 84, of Garden City will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, in St. Raphael Catholic Church with burial at Grand Lawn Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Fred Misiolek. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. today, Sunday, April 7, in R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Road, Garden City.
Mrs. Gotshaw was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Detroit and died April 4 in Garden City. She was a homemaker and lived in this community many years.
Surviving are her children, Richard Hall, Keith Gotshaw, Linda LeBourdais-Doyle, Robert (Karen) Gotshaw and Stephen Gotshaw; siblings, Meryl Gray, Marjorie Rain and MaryLou Ray; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gotshaw was preceded in death by her husband, William.
MARGUERITE L. "PEGGY" SATKO
Services for Marguerite "Peggy" Satko, 71, of Garden City were April 1 in St. Raphael Church with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights.
Mrs. Satko was born July 9, 1930, in Detroit and died March 28 at her home in Garden City. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her children, John (Lorraine), Margaret (Bruce) Peterson, Sally (Fred) Mahan and Christopher; five brothers; two sisters; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Satko was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Capuchins.
Arrangements were made by L.J. Griffin Funeral Home.
LILLIAN V. KELLEY
Services for Lillian Kelley, 79, of Wayne were April 4 in Wayne Wesleyan Church, Wayne, with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Dave Dahlberg.
Mrs. Kelley was born Nov. 1, 1922, and died March 30 in Garden City. She was an inspector.
Surviving are her son, Bill (Carol) Walk of Garden City; daughters, Sharon (Randy) Massey of Belleville and Jan (Dan) Smyth of Howell; brother, David Walk; grandchildren, Jim Walk, Samantha Massey, Jamie Scott and Ron Walk; eight great- and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, and granddaughter, Lillian.
Memorial tributes may be made to the American Heart Association or Leukemia Society.
