Clifford Mohrmeyer, 67, design engineer

Clifford E. Mohrmeyer worked about 20 years as a design engineer for Post Glover Resistors Inc. in Erlanger, designing intensive care panels for neonatal hospital units.

Before he retired, he also worked in the maintenance department at the Beechwood Schools and in electrical sales for Lowe's Home Improvement company - where he continued to mix with the pub lic.

"He had a great personality. Everybody liked Cliff, " said Delores J. North Mohrmeyer, his wife of nearly 48 years.

"He's been a great husband to me."

Mr. Mohrmeyer, 67, of Latonia, died Monday evening at his home.

Mr. Mohrmeyer was born and reared in West Covington.

"When he was younger, he loved to fish and hunt, " Mrs. Mohrmeyer said.

Mr. Mohrmeyer was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Latonia American Legion Post No. 203.

Mr. Mohrmeyer also was a member of the Newport Church of God.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mohrmeyer is survived by sons, Zane Mohrmeyer of Shelby, N.C., and Dereck Mohrmeyer of Latonia; a daughter, Regina Jones of Latonia; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at noon Friday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home in Covington.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Independence Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Home-Health Hospice, 401 E. 20th St., Covington, Ky. 41014.

Lois Jean Bailey, 84, of Franklin, Ohio, and formerly of Latonia, died Tuesday at her home. She was a homemaker and a former member of Corbin Baptist Church, South Corbin. Her husband, Rossie Bailey, died in 1990.

Survivors include her brother, Maurice Anderson of Greencastle, Ind.; and sisters, Mildred Griffith of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Ailene Blevins of Franklin.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia. Visitation will be from from 2 p.m. Friday until the time of services. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.

Salvador Becerra, 57, of Franklin, Wisc., and formerly of Crescent Springs and Florence, died Saturday in Franklin. He was director of cardiopulmonary services for St. Francis Hospital, Milwaukee, Wisc., was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and chaired the Great American Smokeout in Cincinnati.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Diane Burris Becerra of Franklin; sons, Randall Becerra of Tampa, Fla., and Christopher Becerra and Timothy Becerra, both of Williamstown; daughters, Amanda Becerra of Florence and Zoe Becerra of Franklin; several brothers and sisters; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Alstadt-Tyborski Funeral Home, Greenfield, Wis. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 6612 Dixie Highway, Suite 2, Florence, Ky. 41042; or American Diabetes Association, 8899 Brookside Ave., West Chester, Ohio 45103.

Florence Turner Bowling, 84, of Lebanon, Ohio, formerly of Dayton, died Tuesday at Middletown Regional Hospital, Middletown, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Dave Bowling, died in 1977.

Survivors include sons, Carl Bowling of Alexandria, Leslie Bowling of Amelia, Ohio, Robert Bowling of Southgate and Vernon Bowling of Dayton; daughters, Betty Gary of Bellevue, Nancy Hardin of Lebanon and Mildred Hensley of Alexandria; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Susan Jean Brewer, 44, of Morning View, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters, Ina Brewer and Heaven Galliher, both of Morning View; brothers, Bobby Galliher of Cincinnati, Dennis Galliher, Ervis Galliher, Adam Galliher and Harrison Galliher, all of Ross, Ohio, Larry Galliher of Morning View, John Galliher Jr. of Latonia and Ronnie Galliher of Newport; and sisters, Gladys Combs of Morning View, Frances Galliher of Cincinnati, Diane Davis of Covington and Joanne Huffman of Latonia.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Peoples Funeral Home, Butler. Visitation: 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Crematory, Milford, Ohio. Memorials are suggested to Burial Fund for Susan Brewer, in care of Peoples Funeral Home, 212 Main St., Butler, Ky. 41006.

Rachel L. Carnes, 77, of Florence, died Monday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Sanford E. Carnes; sons, Daryl Carnes of Preston, Ariz., David Carnes of Latonia, Dennis Carnes of Florence, Gary Carnes of Houston, Greg Carnes of Crittenden, Larry Carnes of Virginia Beach, Va., and Michael Carnes of Edgewood; daughters, Carol Harper of Helena, Mont. and Coreta Kersey of Walton; 28 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation: 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery, Florence. Memorials: to the charity of the donor's choice.

Wanda Cook, 71, of Florence, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a cafeteria worker with Ockerman School, Florence.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Cook; sons, Richard Charles Cook and Robert W. Cook, both of Florence; brothers, Robert Cox of Louisville and Chuck Cox of Covington; a sister, Ruth Ann Switzer of Florence; and five granddaughters.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Linnemann Funeral Home, Burlington. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

Willnetta Edwards, 70, of Demossville, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a farmer and a homemaker. Her husband, Jeff Edward, died in 1989.

Survivors include sons, Michael Edwards of Tampa, Fla., William Edwards of Williamstown, Johnny Edwards of Morning View, Joe Edwards and Jeffrey Edwards, both of Gardnersville and Edward Edwards of Falmouth; daughters, Joan Burdine of Verona, Kathy Hess and Brenda Smith, both of Williamstown, Beverly Spegal of Demossville, Linda Dunn of Erlanger, Lisa Richey of Fort Wright and Lori Edwards of Latonia; a brother, Orville Epperson of Florence; 36 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were this morning at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.

Brett L. Hyden, 26, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Covington, died Saturday in Sarasota. He was an apprentice electrician.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Lois and Donald Hadsell of Sarasota; his father, Jerry Hyden of Melbourne; sisters, Angela Brewer and Genevieve Hadsell, both of Sarasota; a brother, Nathan Hadsell of Sarasota; and grandparents, Vi Lyons of Villa Hills, and Charles and Willena Perkins of Tollesboro. Services: 1 p.m. today at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Sarasota. Burial in Palms Memorial Park, Sarasota.

Loretta Anna Klessman, 91, of Lexington, died Monday at Hospice of the Bluegrass, Lexington. She was a telephone operator with Cincinnati Bell Telephone, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Letter Carriers and a former member of Southgate Methodist Church. Her husband, William J. Klessman, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a sister, Stella Brinkmann of Fort Thomas; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

John McGarr, 75, of Erlanger, died at 1:28 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Arrangements are pending at Swindler and Currin Funeral Home, Latonia.

Beulah Mae Baker Prim, 89, of Alexandria, died at 12:45 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Hospital East, Fort Thomas. She was a retired cook with Grants Lick Elementary School, Whites Restaurant in Alexandria and Lakeside Place Nursing Home, Highland Heights. She also was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Alexandria. Her husband, Arthur Chester Prim, died in 1971. A son, Chester Prim, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Elmer Prim of Alexandria; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Alexandria Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial in Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials: to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 5147 Lees Road, Alexandria, Ky. 41001.

Virginia Catherine Schaller, 92, of Florence, died Monday at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence. She was a retired switchboard operator with Continental Electric Co., Ludlow. Her husband, James P. Schaller, died in 1976.

Survivors include a son, James E. Schaller of Villa Hills; daughters, Patricia Riley of Union and Mickie Sander of Crescent Springs; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services were this morning at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs. Burial was in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials: to the charity of the donor's choice. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence, is handling arrangements.

Ruby E. Roebuck Schnurr, 77, of Bromley, died Wednesday in Frankford, Del. She was a seamstress with Mack Shirt. Her husband, Fred F. Schnurr, died in 1984.

Survivors include a son, Francis F. Schnurr of Bromley; daughters, Linda M. Schnurr and Nancy K. Cropper, both of Chance, Md.; sisters, Mildred Thompson of Meridian, Miss., and Pid Bond of Preston, Miss., Gimmie Wilkerson and Claudine Crane, both of Houston, and Marie Trimble of Irving, Texas; a brother, Tillman Roebuck of Preston; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials: to the charity of the donor's choice.

Helen E. Lunsford Shanks, 69, of Covington, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North, Covington. She was a homemaker. A son, P. B. Lunsford, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Shanks; daughters, Judy Hall of Cincinnati and JoeAnn Mahoney of Florida; sons, Pat Lunsford, Perry Lunsford and Pete Lunsford, all of Cincinnati; stepdaughters, Cathy Plummer of Moore's Hill, Ind., and Michele Shanks of Paducah; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Hazel M. Tilley, 91, of Carrollton, died Monday at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, Carrollton. She was a homemaker and a member of Carrollton Christian Church. Her first husband, Marshall R. Watkins, died in 1925. Her second husband, Harley Tilley, died in 1969.

Survivors include a son, Ray Watkins of Carrollton; a grandson and great-granddaughter.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, Carrollton. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Burial in IOOF Cemetery, Carrollton.

Robert K. Vendler, 53, of Williamstown, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on his farm.

Arrangements are pending at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.

William Kevin Weisel, 34 of Covington, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was an employee of Joe's Photo, Covington.

Survivors include his mother, Caroline McCabe of Cincinnati.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Cemetery, Cincinnati. Catchen Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.
