Rev. Ronald Hall, devoted to flock, family

The Rev. Ronald L. Hall will be remembered for his service and dedication to his flock.

It wasn't unusual for Rev. Hall to receive calls from church members needing help in the middle of the night or for him to leave home on the spur of the moment to help someone in the midst an emergency.

He attended Practical Bible School in Binghamton, N.Y., and was ordained in 1973.

He also was an Army veteran. He liked fishing and raised registered German shepherds.

His family will remember him as a very compassionate man, said his daughter, Sherry Leslie Hall of Dry Ridge. He also was quite fun-loving, bantering playfully with family and friends and playing an occasional practical joke.

"He was very much a family man. He liked to spend time with his family, " Ms. Hall said. "Everybody's birthday was always special. We celebrated everybody's birthday, grilled out o n holidays, went to church activities, bonfires and picnics. We went camping when we were younger.
