Charles Traylor, loving dad, EMT, served Hebron fire department

Many people in Boone County knew Charles Eugene Traylor for his years of service with the Hebron Fire Department.

And while he could fight fires and rescue ill or injured people with the best of his department, Mr. Traylor's daughter, Amy L. Traylor of Walton, recalls her father for his sense of humor and work ethic that inspired his family and friends.

"He was just a good guy. He would do anything for you," Ms. Traylor said.

"Up until a few days ago, he would cut the grass for the lady who lived across the street. He was always getting involved in the community."

Mr. Traylor, 66, of Hebron, died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.

He also served as director of Hebron's Memorial Day parade.

Mr. Traylor was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local No. 1102 and the Northern Kentucky Fly Fishermen's Club.

Mr. Traylor grew up in Covington and took all of his roles seriously, his daughter said. As an emergency medical technician he delivered several children, his daughter said.
