William Kincaid, loved the fire department

William P. Kincaid was in love with the fire department -- both as a boy, growing up near Paris, and later as a volunteer fireman and engineer for the Elsmere Fire Department.
He loved it so much, "when he was a little boy, he climbed up in a tree to get the fire department to come get him, " said daughter Linda Henry of Florence.

Mr. Kincaid, of Elsmere, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was 72.

He was a volunteer firefighter for the Elsmere department for about 20 years.

He worked about 35 years as a baker for Dolly Madison Bakery. He started at the bakery about the same time he graduated from Lloyd High School in Erlanger.

When he wasn't working or at the fire department, he enjoyed camping in Kentucky state parks.

"He just wanted to be remembered as a good man, a father, grandfather, a volunteer, " said son Kenneth Kincaid of Florence

Stepsons, Larry Sullivan and Ronnie Sullivan both preceded him in death.

Other survivors include his wife, Dorothy Kincaid; sons, Billy Kincaid and Bobby Kincaid, both of Union, and Kenneth Kincaid of Walton; a stepson, David Kincaid of Walton; daughters, Diane Tanner of Elsmere and Connie Emerson of Walton; stepdaughters, Sherry Williams of Cincinnati and Sandy Knauff of Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere. Visitation will begin there at noon Saturday. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Erlanger.

Marion Oliver Beach, 81, of Cartersville, Ga., formerly of Crittenden, died Tuesday at Cartersville Medical Center. He was a retired foundry worker with Campbell-Hausfeld Co., Harrison, Ohio, and a member of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Disabled American Veterans Post No. 75 and Ludlow Hill Baptist Church, Lawrenceburg. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include sons, Marion C. Beach of Houston, Donald Edward Beach of Laurel, Md., and Steven E. Napier of Walton; daughters, Mary Louise McCreary of Milan, Ind., Barbara Smith of Cartersville, Margaret Sue Steele of Moores Hill, Ind., Vonda Lou Chirino and Evelyn Marie Lowe, both of Dry Ridge, and Mary Christine Beach of Covington; a brother, Robert Beach of Dillsboro, Ind., and Henrietta Littrell of Greendale, Ind.; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will be 5 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association, 1885 Dixie Highway, Suite 250, Fort Wright, Ky. 41011.

Mary Andras Bishop, 90, of Newport, died Friday at her home. She was a secretary with CSX Railroad and a member of Christian Tabernacle in Newport. Her husband, Rev. Jack Bishop, died in 1991.

Survivors include a daughter, Nicki Bishop of Newport, and a brother, Ted Andras of Michigan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christian Tabernacle, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at Muehlehkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate. Memorials are suggested to Christian Tabernacle, 325 Washington Ave., Newport, Ky. 41071.

James Earl Bowman, 52, of Covington, died at noon Wednesday at Baptist Hospital, LaGrange. He was a self-employed contractor and a Navy veteran.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Bowman of Williamstown; daughters, Brandy Bowman of Richwood and Bridgett Madison of Adolphis; brothers, Gregory Bowman of Latonia and Alvin Bowman of Orient, Ohio; sisters, Pamela Westmeyer of Park Hills, Cathy Vanardo of Corinth and Theresa Barnes of Burlington; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Allison and Rose Funeral Home, Taylor Mill. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Nelson Family Cemetery, Corinth.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.

H. Lynn Tieuli Cooper, 76, of Park Hills, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. She was a retired chemical dependency counselor.

Survivors include a daughter, Anne Hood of Park Hills; sons, Robert E. Enman of Manchester, N.H., and William J. Enman of Glendale, Ariz.; brothers, Joseph Tieuli, Adam Tieuli, Fred Tieuli and Anthony Tieuli, all of Milford, Mass.; sisters, Sister Mary Ann D.M., of Berwick, Pa., Celia Gordon and Alice Scordamaglia, both of Milford, Mass., and Vetrana Folan of Portland, Maine; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be at 7 p.m. July 8 at Sisters of Notre Dame Chapel of St. Joseph Heights, Park Hills. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Milford, Mass. Memorials are suggested to Lynn Cooper Foundation, in care of Fifth Third Bank, 1701 Dixie Highway, Fort Wright, Ky. 41011. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington, is handling arrangements.

James D. Hesse, 67, of Taylor Mill, died Tuesday at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired communications electrician with CSX Railroad, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a former member of the Masons and Shriners.

Survivors include his wife, Matilda Selle Hesse; a son, James M. Hesse of Cincinnati; daughters, Julie Ford, Jennifer Hesse and Shannon Hesse, all of Cincinnati; and two granddaughters.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Visitation will begin there at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society, 6612 Dixie Highway, Suite 2A, Florence, Ky. 41042.

Robert B. Jarvis, 85, of Highland Heights, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday at his home. He was a retired pressman with Tri-State Offset Printing Co. and Fleuron Press Co., and was an Army veteran of World War II. His wife, Audrey Jarvis, died Feb. 22.

Survivors include a son, Richard Jarvis of Highland Heights; and sisters, Helen Myers and Dorothy Fitzer, both of Southgate.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Floral Hills cemetery Chapel, Taylor Mill. Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, Elsmere, is handling arrangements.

Elsie Elizabeth Jones, 85, of Cynthiana, died Thursday at Harrison Memorial Hospital, Cynthiana.

She was a retired nurses aide.

Survivors include a son, James Jones of Cynthiana; a daughter, Anna Spegal of Lexington; brothers, Theodore Curtis of Cynthiana and Willie T. "Babe" Curtis of Cape Coral, Fla.; and a sister, Flossie Curtis Brown of Centerville, Ohio.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ware Funeral Home, Cynthiana. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana. Memorials are suggested to Harrison County Volunteer Fire Department, 203 W. Pike St., Cynthiana, Ky. 41031.

Rebecca G. McHargue, 32, of Florence, died Wednesday at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati.

She was an office manager with Cingular Wireless of Cincinnati and a team mother for the Boone County Pee Wee Football League.

Survivors include her husband, Bryan McHargue; sons, Nicholas McHargue and Brandon McHargue, both of Florence; daughters, Allison McHargue and Jennifer McHargue, both of Florence; her mother, Brooke Vaughn of Fort Mitchell; her father and stepmother, Nicholas and Myrna Thornton of Lone Oak, Texas; a sister, Christine Wiernusz of Siloam, Ark.; and a brother, Gus Thornton of Lone Oak.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Covington. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow. Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Crematory, Milford, Ohio. Memorials are suggested to Rebecca McHargue Children's Fund, in care of any Fifth Third Bank of Northern Kentucky.

Mabel Marie Murray, 84, of Glencoe, died Thursday at University Hospital, Cincinnati.

She was a homemaker and a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Murray; a son, Bennie F. Adams of Glencoe; brothers, Jay Adams of Jellico, Tenn., and Troy Adams of Florida; a sister, Dora Shepard of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will begin there at 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.

Mahlon Brent Sims, 56, of Mount Olivet, died Wednesday at Robertson County Health Care Center, Mount Olivet.

He was a pipefitter with Pipefitters and Plumbers Union Local No. 452.

A son, William Parker Sims, preceded him in death.

Survivors include sons, Mahlon B. Sims Jr. and Mickey Keith Sims, both of Mount Olivet; his parents, James A. and Goldie Wheary Sims of Mount Olivet; brothers, Michael Sims of Mount Olivet and Danny Keith Sims of Washington; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Robertson County Funeral Home, Mount Olivet. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in Kentontown Cemetery.

Mimi "Sue" Turner, 67, of Ludlow, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

Arrangements are pending at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow.

Robert W. Weber, 68, of Highland Heights, died Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

His wife, MaDonna Weber, died in 1977.

Survivors include a daughter, Robin Weber of Butler; a sister, Beverly Heidebrink of Fort Thomas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 8 p.m. Monday at A.C. Dobbling Funeral Home, Fort Thomas. Visitation will begin there at 6 p.m. Monday.

Cremation will be at Southwest Ohio Crematory, Milford, Ohio.

Helen G. Wondrely, 89, of Florence, died Thursday at Florence Park Care Center, Florence.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Church, Florence.

Her husband, John Franklin Wondrely, died in 1986.

Survivors include a daughter, Johnnie Sue Scott of Florence; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 12:10 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Church, Florence.

Burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright.

Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Disease Association, 644 Linn St., Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
