Dr. W. D. Buzard, age 79, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away Sunday, October 12, 2003 at the Excelsior Springs Medical Center.
He was born September 26, 1924 in Bogard, Missouri the son of Norman LeVan and Beulah Opal Pitts Buzard. He attended Hartis Grade School and graduated from Bogard High School in 1942. After completing the Army-Navy Commercial Course at the Chillicothe Business School, he enlisted in the Navy V-5 Program where he was a navigator and served until October of 1945. He attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri in 1946 and transferred to the University of Iowa where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1949. He then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Veterinary Medicine and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1954.
On June 22, 1949, he married Bonnie Mae White in Riverside, Iowa. She survives at the home. He had been a Federal Meat Inspector in Kansas City, Missouri and practiced Veterinary Medicine in Montezuma, Iowa from 1955 until his retirement in 1977. He and his wife moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 1982 and to Excelsior Springs in 2001. Bill was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Carrollton, Missouri and belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Montezuma, Iowa.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by three sons, William Davis Buzard, Jr., Spokane, Washington, George LeVan Buzard, Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert Lee Buzard, Kearney, Missouri; one daughter, Sherresse Annette Buzard, Mt. Ayr, Iowa; one brother, Donald Eugene Buzard, Carrollton, Missouri; one sister, Norma Lee Sugg, Bogard, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Brian Robert Buzard and Katherine Elizabeth Buzard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Walter Brunner officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bogard, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 1-2:00 p.m., Thursday, before the service.

Wallace Clark (Wally) Lowrey, age 79, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
Wally was born April 18, 1924 in Hughesville, Missouri, the youngest child of William Dwight and Hazel Hill Lowrey. He graduated from Hughesville High School.
On February 16, 1952, he married Jewell Housel in Sedalia, Missouri. She survives at the home. They had 52 good years together. They moved to Carrollton, Missouri in 1952 where he began farming; an occupation he loved from beginning to end. He joined the United Methodist Church at an early age and was a member of the Carrollton United Methodist Church.
Wally is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Kathryn and Tessa Lowrey; Marie Dabner and husband, Ted; two nieces, Elaine Pate and Jane Ellen Lowrey; three nephews, Dennis Lowrey, Kim Dabner and Michial Dabner; great nieces and nephews, Angela Pippin, Jill Pagano, Stacey Watson, Jennifer Donn, Jason Lowrey, Kris Dabner and two great great nieces, Ellery and Arlen Pippin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clinton and George Lowrey and one sister, Mildred Jones.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Sandra Crater officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.

Jared Glover, age 21, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. He was born February 17, 1982 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of Wayne and Peggy Jackson Glover. He attended Carrollton Schools and graduated in the class of 2000. He attended the Missouri Welding Institute following graduation. Jared was a member of the United Methodist Church, Carrollton, Missouri. Jared is survived by his mother, Peggy Glover, Carrollton, Missouri; his father and stepmother, Wayne and Barbara Glover, Parkville, Missouri; a friend, Katie McCumber and her daughter, Brilei Lexis, Carrollton, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Joe and Joan Jackson, Carrollton, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Richard and Wilma Jean Glover, State of Texas; uncle and aunt, John and Jan Jackson, Odessa, Missouri; aunt, Sharon Carver, State of Texas; cousins, Pat Jackson, Odessa, Missouri and Kevin Jackson, Odessa, Missouri. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri with Charles Sharpe officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2003 at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Carrollton, Missouri. The family suggests contributions be made to H.E.L.P. Audrey Knott, age 83, of Carrollton, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 16, 2003 at Carroll House, Carrollton, Missouri. She was born January 9, 1920 in Carrollton, Missouri the daughter of Jess Claude and Ruth Mae Adkins Ford. She attended Carrollton Schools. On August 12, 1940 she married Clarence Daniel Knott in Carroll County, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1995. Audrey was a home maker and devoted mother. She was a Baptist. She is survived by three daughters; Ruth Marie Miller, Glenda Gail Macgruder, Barbara Sue Schenk, all of Carrollton, Missouri; one son, Larry Earl Knott, Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, Ervin Ford, Kansas City, Missouri, Russell Ford and Earl Ford, both of Carrollton, Missouri; three sisters, Mildred McKown, Smithville, Missouri, Bonnie Winfrey, Carrollton, Missouri and Barbara Krof, Coloma, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and two sons. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Evergreen Cemetery, DeWitt, Missouri with Reverend Bert Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m., Saturday at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri. The family suggests contributions be made to the family's choice in memory of Mrs. Knott. Kathy Marie Pittman Jansen, 34, of Marceline, Missouri and formerly of Slater, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 16, 2003 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. She was born on March 14, 1969 in Marshall, Missouri the daughter of Kenneth and Bettye blum Pittman. She graduated from Slater High School in 1987. Kathy married Kenneth Lyle Jansen at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brunswick, Missouri on April 2, 1998. Kathy was a loving mother and home maker. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Brunswick, Missouri. Her survivors include her husband, Kenneth Jansen, of the home; one son and two daughters, Mitchell Pittman, Ludia Jansen and Kerrie Igou, also of the home; her parents, Kenneth and Bettye Pittman of Slater, Missouri; two sisters and two brothers, Brenda Ward, Gina Pittman, Mark and Jeff Pittman all of Slater, Missouri; and her father and mother-in-law, Gerard and Margie Jansen of Brunswick, Missouri. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 20, 2003 at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Brunswick, Missouri with Pastor Glen Drewitz officiating. Burial was in Newcomer Cemetery, Mendon, Missouri. Marvin James Alexander, age 75, of Norborne, Missouri, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 22, 2003.
He was born to Carl Newton and Eunice Parks Alexander on June 4, 1928 in Carroll County, Missouri.
He married Alice Thelma Leach in 1952. To this union four children were born, Marvin Eugene Alexander and wife, Meredith, Carrollton, Missouri; Jane Null and husband, Ronald, Chico, Texas; and two sons who preceded him in death, Edward and Robert.
He then married Shirley Cochran on June 11, 1977 in Norborne, Missouri. He inherited three step sons, James Lee Hecke and wife, Stacy, Marshall, Missouri, Robert Allen Hecke and wife, Adalee, Milan, Missouri, Jesse Lee Hecke and wife, Kandrai, Slater, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He attended Carroll County country schools. Marvin worked for Ray-Carroll Coop for twenty years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served as a para-trooper in 1953.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2003, at the Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri with Brother M. R. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Fairhaven Cemetery, Norborne, Missouri, with a Military Service by Veterans of Foreign Wars Pence- Lovell-England Post #1773, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2003 at Gibson Funeral Home, Norborne, Missouri.

Bernerdean Leroy Watts, age 81, of Macon, Missouri and formerly of Brunswick, Missouri passed away Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the Loma Linda Health Care Center, Moberly, Missour. He was born August 22, 1922 in Brunswick, Missouri the son of Roy McKinley and Virgie Ward Watts. He married Ilean Benson in 1942 and she preceded him in death on July 31, 1971. He had farmed 29 years for Wallace Seals at Triplett, Missouri. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick, Missouri. He is survived by one son, Stanley Watts, Macon, Missouri; two daughters, Emma Watson and Wanda White, both of Moberly, Missouri; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held at the Gibson Funeral Home, Brunswick, Missouri on Thursday, October 30, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend George A. Wilson officiating. Burial will be held in Brunswick City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Triplett for cemetery maintenance in memory of Mr. Watts. Dale E. Beams, age 88, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri.
He was born July 18, 1915, on a farm eight miles east of Carrollton, Missouri, the son of William Lloyd and Elsie Ethel Antener Beams. He attended Willow Grove Grade School and graduated from Carrollton High School in 1934.
Dale and Josephine Emily Heins were married on October 12, 1940 by Reverend Clyde Clark in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. They were attended by his aunt and her husband, Lester and Lulu Wilson. Dale and Jospehine had just celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary.
Dale joined the United States Army Air Force March 25, 1943 and was discharged February 24, 1946. He had worked at Carroll County Abstract Company from 1935 to 1954; for Bridges and Company Real Estate and Insurance from 1954-1977; and was a licensed Funeral Director for Gibson-Rice Funeral Homes from 1977 to 1991. Dale was a charter member of the Carroll County Historical Society. He had played the saxophone in the Carrollton Band.
Dale is survived by his wife, Josephine, of the home in Carrollton, Missouri; one daughter, Joanne Leech, Lee's Summit, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jill Suzanne Leech, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Jennifer Beth Leech, Lee's Summit, Missouri and Jeffery Drew Leech, Scottsdale, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2003 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri, with Reverend Joe Barone officiating.
Visitation will be from 10-10:45 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Raynelle Denise Carter, age 21, of Marshall, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at Fitzgibbon Hospital, Marshall, Missouri. She was born August 25, 1982 in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond and Judy Banks Carter. She is survived by two sisters, Tonya, Simpson, Sedalia, Missouri and Ramona Ferguson, Marshall, Missouri. She is also survived by a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters. Memorial services will be held at the Zion A.M.E. Methodist Church, Brunswick, Missouri on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend Marjorie officiating. The family suggests contributions be made to the Zion A.M.E. Methodist Church, Brunswick, Missouri in memory of Raynelle. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick MO 65236.

Blaine Miller Hudson, age 54, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at Carrollton Nursing Center, Carrollton, Missouri.
He was born December 17, 1948 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of William David and Elsie Miller Clay Hudson. He attended Carrollton Schools, graduating from Carrollton High School. He had done domestic work for many years for the Magee family, Dr. Platz and Ann Jones. He did volunteer work for the Missouri Valley Head Start in Carrollton. Blaine was a member of the Virginia Street Baptist Church, Carrollton, Missouri.
Blaine is survived by his sister, Betty Cahill; his twin sister, Elaine Hudson and companion, Charles McCoy; one brother, William "Snowball" Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; an aunt, Mary McCoy and uncle, John "Jackie" Miles, all of Carrollton, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois White Harris and Willa Mae Gaines and one brother, Alfred Clay.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2003 at the Virginia Street Baptist Church, Carrollton, Missouri with Reverend Chester White officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday before the service.
