Bonnie Henrietta Williams, daughter of Walter and Stella I. (Lakey) Fitzgerald, was death by her husband, Carl; one son, Norman; two grandchildren, Brad Hadeen and Angie Williams; her parents; three brothers, Merman, Herman and Emra; and one sister, Vonice Rose.
She is survived by one son, Wilson Williams, Springfield; two daughters, Dessie Ludwig, Ava, and Roberta Hadeen, Berryville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Zora Fitzgerald and Stella Fitzgerald both of Seymour, Nola Gifford, Ava, Genieve Wallace, Bettendorf, Iowa, Doris Woods, Long Lane, and Erma Lee Lupton, Ava; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Lee Hampton and Joe "Cub" Lafferty officiating. Cemetery.
Alford James "A.J." Marx, 77

Alford James "A.J." Marx, son of J.A. Marx and Lena Turner Marx, was passed away Dec. 31, 2005, in Ava, at the age of 77.
A.J. was a resident of Ava since 2003, moving from Cedar Creek, Texas. He was a retired general carpenter and was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. On Dec. 24, 2002, A.J. and Wanda Brown were united in marriage in Bastrop, Texas. A.J. was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, of Ava.
A.J. loved to fish and hunt and visit with his friends and family.
He enjoyed watching all the animals from his home.
He was preceded in Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
The family requests memorials be made as love offerings at the funeral home.
Virgil Lowell Adams, 84

Virgil Lowell Adams, the son of Luther Adams and Mary (Baird) Adams, was death by his parents, two brothers, Kenneth and Lester, and a sister, Betty.
Virgil is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pauline; six children and their spouses, Shirley and John Scisciani, Nixa, Darrell and Beverly Adams, Springfield, Kenny and Evelyn Adams, Ava, Jackie and Gail Adams, Bradleyville, Steve and Jenny Adams, Ava, Sherry and Jr. (Mike) Twenter, Lamar; 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two on the way; one brother, Neal Adams, McClurg; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava with the Revs. John Lee Comer and Riley Hall officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Douglas Wayne Porter, 43

Douglas Wayne Porter, son of Carlos Pat Porter and Melba Louise (Lakey) Porter was passed away on Dec. 15, 2005 in Ava, at the age of 43 years.
Doug was a life long resident of Douglas County. He worked in many different occupations, some of which included farming, operating heavy equipment and the Missouri Conservation Department. He was also involved with the hurricane cleanup efforts. Doug was saved at Brushyknob Church and baptized at Vera Cruz in 2000. Doug loved his family very much and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping children and visiting with family and friends. He enjoyed listening to music and reading the Bible. Doug always requested prayer for himself and his family.
Doug was preceded in Interment followed in the Ava born March 7, 1915, in Fort Wayne, Ind., the daughter of Fred and Caroline (Willrath) Sauerteig. On July 24, 1944, in Spokane, Wash., she was united in marriage to Armin G. Bolte and to this union three children were death by her parents, husband Armin in 1974, one son Jim Bolte, one brother Frederick Sauerteig, and one sister Laura Sauerteig.

Visitation was held Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Quentin Eugene Middleton, 87

Quentin Eugene Middleton, 87, of Branson, was went to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at his residence.
Quentin and Nellie M. Blevins were death by his wife Nellie in 1997; his parents; and one brother.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Middleton and wife, Pam, of Rogersville; daughters, Sharon Blevins and husband, Freddy, of Blue Eye, Ark., Carol Robinette and husband, Kenny, of Branson, and Kathy Howerton and husband, Paul, of Blue Eye, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leland Middleton, Green Forest, Ark., and Lyle Middleton, of Springfield, Mo.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 14, in Victor Baptist Church, with Pastor Kenny Robinette officiating. Burial followed in the New Hope died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005.
Mr. Welch was a native of Farmington, Mo., and had made his home in Milledgeville, Ga., for a number of years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in World War II. He was a retired Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper, having been stationed in Ava and Festus.
He attended the Island Creek Baptist Church in Milledgeville and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crystal City, Mo.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Davis, of Atlanta, Ga., and Barbara Hense, of St. Louis; one son, Stephen Welch, Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Katherine Crider and Ruth Bayless, both of Farmington; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, Ga., with burial following under the direction of Williams Funeral Home and Crematory, Milledgeville, Ga.
